1970's salad.

lettuce, tomato, cucumber, grated carrot, mature cheddar cubes, hard boiled egg. ham.

chips on the side and heinz salad cream. bread and butter nice.

Really good ribeye, very rare with homemade chips and DP's Bearnaise sauce (not a euphemism).

Steak, bloody and juicy then served with big grilled mushrooms and a green salad with beautiful mayonnaise and a few fat chips on the side.

Close second is fish baked with chilli , lime and soy sauce with salad and some sticky rice.

Another vote for Thai green chicken curry

Ham, egg and chips with branston pickle. Best dinner ever.

Voting curry here too

My own lasagne and Scouse. I also love a roast dinner.

Love the idea of 1970s salad with chips!

Umm my DH's meatballs blush

Honestly though he makes em from scratch, makes a chilli tomato and basil sauce and it's currently my favourite dinner

doginabog Fri 22-Feb-13 17:10:24

Cheese and mushroom omlette

zukiecat Fri 22-Feb-13 17:12:00

Roast beef with all the trimmings,

Or, and I can only ever get this in a pub, steak and ale pie with puff pastry and big thick chips. I can never make it to the same standard at home, and shop bought pies just do not taste the same at all, most of them taste awful IMO.

OTTMummA Fri 22-Feb-13 17:38:14

Fish, chips, mushy peas and curry sauce.

SoYo Fri 22-Feb-13 17:57:01

Allice Fri 22-Feb-13 23:02:35

Red pepper and chorizo risotto, it's very easy and tastes great

Well its possibly too late grin but tonight we have had my favourite dinner. Rare ribeye steak with a garlic butter, homemade skinny chips and a goats cheese stuffed giant mushroom. Delicious! Friday night is always steak night but lots of variations with type of steak, potato and veg.
