Having been distracted onto YouTube by the "adverts you hate" thread, have been happily reminiscing about adverts I loved. I loved the Carling Black Label adverts (despite hating beer) - especially this and this and the Hamlet ones - here.

And some just had great music - like Delta and the Toyota Yaris ad with Billy Fury's "Wondrous Place" - can't find that on YouTube

And since the invention of the flashmob some are just emotional or a bit silly.

Any more to share?

All of the Irn Bru adverts ever.

And there used to be one that made me laugh, it was for insurance or something, there was a little cartoon ant trying to get past a polar bear (I think) and it said 'excuse me, excuse me' in a really small voice, then it scuttles off and gets a whole load of other ants and they all shout 'GET OUT OF THE WAY' and the bear jumps. It always amused me for some reason.

Everybody in the world loves Irn Bru..

The Sprite adverts where the "sprite" comes out of the vending machine instead of a can and the one where they're sitting in a cafe and the "sprite" tries chilli sauce

The Yeo Valley one with the sexy farmers singing and dancing.

I used to like that Irn Bru one..."I especially love Irn Bru, even though I used to be a man!" And the rest of them all look .

Had to look up the Tom Hardy one - is it the one with Sven at the end - I loved that.

MrsBertMacklin - you are right, Aldi are currently carrying the banner for current advertising - along with the John Lewis Christmas ads (they've had me crying for three years running - especially last year)

Harry the Spiders coming out party, Buttons advert from the early eighties.

At the moment I love the Eric Cantona beer one, plus the BT TV where the mother pulls a really great face and says "How very modern!"

The Honda one with the balding man who goes through a series of cars and motorbikes before appearing in the hot air balloon at the end. Fucking love that advert.
