I missed out on the H&M Christmas Duvet covers last year, but still want one for this year.
I have seen the new one in next which is ok, but I remember the ones in H&M being really nice. Can anyone either remember what they were like or have a picture of the H&M one please?

raisah Mon 23-Sep-13 21:36:29

Won't the designs be different this year as the next ones change annually. It is worth hunting around good luck in finding them.

nickdrakeslovechild Mon 23-Sep-13 21:44:16

Yes it will be different but similar from recent years iirc. It's the only thing I can only buy once so want to get the nicest one.

guiltyconscience Mon 23-Sep-13 22:37:23

I thought the Next one looked a bit dare I say it cheap ooer!

Oldraver Mon 23-Sep-13 23:20:37

Last years Next one was lovely.

BankerMommy2010 Tue 24-Sep-13 19:26:46

I had a next one about 2 years back, is a bit washed out now. Ive just bought the santa one from next and the matching santa countdown pillow its actually quite nice although it is only on the bed for 3 weeks of the year so im not overly worried about quality x

PGTip Tue 24-Sep-13 20:23:13

Just to let you all know they had some Christmas duvet covers in Matalan today, single only, red with advent calendar numbers on and a pocket to put a treat in number 24, really cute! They were £12 each and on 3 for 2.

IsaacCox Mon 07-Oct-13 16:29:05

I've ordered this one. I've never had a Christmas duvet before, I'm excited! grin

HelgatheHairy Mon 07-Oct-13 16:34:40

I have the same one isaacox except in red. It's lovely.

MamaBear17 Mon 07-Oct-13 18:21:49

Well, thanks a lot. I now NEED a Christmas duvet cover!

HenriettaPye Mon 07-Oct-13 18:23:36

If you have a next clearance store, check it. A few weeks ago I got last years single Christmas duvet cover off only £7!

DuchessFanny Mon 07-Oct-13 18:26:48

Had no idea they existed, but now I've seen yours isaac I neeeed one !!

rosieposey Mon 07-Oct-13 18:34:01

I have just bought the Primarni one in a double - i too had no idea they existed but thanks to m'net now have one of my very own!

BeckyBrandon Mon 07-Oct-13 20:00:15

Yeah cheers, now I NEED one as well... so does DD

nickdrakeslovechild Mon 07-Oct-13 20:01:00

Thanks for the replies, I
have had a glimpse at the H&m one and its cute, so will go to matalan this week and if I don't get that one will hold off for the h&m one. I saw the primark one and wasn't keen. Loved the next advent one and rung all the outlets near ( and not so near) but no stock. It needs to be a child's one.

rosieposey Mon 07-Oct-13 21:04:45

Ohh just to say i saw some in the La Redoute sale a couple of days ago ( Swedish Christmas style) and they looked lovely but i had already bought mine.

BeckyBrandon Wed 09-Oct-13 22:22:36

Rosie those La Redoute ones are so lovely, but it puts me off that 1) they sell the pillows separately and 2) they're not in simple sizing (I get confused easily)

They really are lovely though, I think that one and the primark ones are my fav so far!

wheretoyougonow Wed 09-Oct-13 22:28:54

Why have you told me about this? I will be placing an order first thing in the morning. Husband moaning, credit card creaking but I NEED this.

Snowgirl1 Thu 10-Oct-13 09:21:49

Anyone seen any christmas duvets in a cot bed size? Failing that I might just buy this rather cute christmas fleece throw from Matalan

Isaac I like your christmas duvet. The red ones may be more Christmassy, but the grey one will go so much better with our eau du nil bedroom walls grin

For anyone still deciding, Studio 24 also have some - a couple of children's at £9.99 and doubles/kings £16.99/£19.99

notso Thu 10-Oct-13 09:37:17

I really like the NEXT one this year, I wasn't keen on last years. I am holding out for the H&M one though because I thought last years was gorgeous. DH and I have the Primark one from last year it is soooo cosy.

MooseyMoo Thu 10-Oct-13 09:37:47

I really want a Christmas duvet for kids! I have got a couple of lovely Christmas throws from Dunelm- Mill

MooseyMoo Thu 10-Oct-13 09:38:39

I'm also waiting to see H&M duvet too <impatient>

dawnpreview Thu 10-Oct-13 09:57:15

Just ordered the kids ones from studio24- thanks snowgirl1 smile

notso Thu 10-Oct-13 10:02:08

I know MooseyMoo I am playing duvet chicken, holding off for H&M!

IsaacCox Thu 10-Oct-13 10:23:54

That's what I thought about the grey too Snowgirl1. The red won't go very well in our bedroom but the grey will look lovely smile

TheSlug Thu 10-Oct-13 13:07:47

NEED a Christmas Duvet cover! Has anyone seen a nice king size which might work in a bedroom with purple curtains?

Snowgirl1 Thu 10-Oct-13 14:38:33

TheSlug the one Isaac linked to below comes in king size in either pale grey or navy - would either of those work with your curtains?

TheSlug Thu 10-Oct-13 16:00:59

Thank you Snow and Isaac! Gorgeous!

SunnyRandall Sat 12-Oct-13 09:09:47

How much are the H&M ones usually?

98percentchocolate Sat 12-Oct-13 09:32:33

Snowgirl - I've been looking everywhere and can't find a cotbed sized yet. Will be watching this with interest...

wonderingsoul Sat 12-Oct-13 09:49:57

i got some yesterday from studio.. 9.99 each.

they have good selection.

it took everything in me not to order the "classy" warm nice looking red or lue with snowflakes for the kids.. i think they look lovely..

but i got the kids a santa one and a stocking one..becayse i know they would love thouse better .

( i do not buy character tops or items.. so this took alot of will power lol )

heres a link to them. they also have a cute reindear one)

SunnyRandall Sat 12-Oct-13 10:22:06

I looked at the Studio ones but don't want to set up a credit account and can't see how to buy them outright.

SunnyRandall Sat 12-Oct-13 10:26:25

Nice cotbed one here

wonderingsoul Sat 12-Oct-13 10:43:53

sunny if you set it up you can pay it all straight away online if that helps x

SunnyRandall Sat 12-Oct-13 10:45:03

Oh ok I'll have a look later. I gave up half way through checkout last time!

wonderingsoul Sat 12-Oct-13 10:48:58

also if you use 032 code you get free deliviery x

it is very long winded, i dont see why they cant do a buy it now bit to tbf.

WallyBantersYoniBox Sat 12-Oct-13 22:30:55

Has anyone checked Primark? They had a nice Scandi/Fairisle print one on a white background. Someone is also selling them on eBay...

Was the Hennes one tartan?

I am taking the plunge and ordering the Grinch bedding from Pottery Barn before I wibble....

Unexpected Sat 12-Oct-13 22:33:27

Do we think H&M are actually doing one this year? It feels mad in mid-October to say that it is kind of late but given that everyone else has their Christmas ranges out, it might be doubtful if they will do one now?

nickdrakeslovechild Sun 13-Oct-13 07:59:06

Yes Unexpected they are doing them. If you go on the home bit of the website and click on new arrivals, they have a Christmas plate and cup. If you click on those it shows the duvet set (2 styles) I rang them and they are due any day.

Iamsanta Sun 13-Oct-13 08:04:41

Thanks, I do like the polar bear one.

MooseyMoo Sun 13-Oct-13 08:22:51

Right, I'm buying double for my bed from La Redoute. Half price now and all sizes are stated in product details.

Went for this one, had to buy separate pillow cases. Went through Quidco for 7% CB so cost £28 inc postage.

MooseyMoo Sun 13-Oct-13 08:33:40

Thanks for that drake I'll get the Next one I think. It looks nicer

2blessed Sun 13-Oct-13 08:37:55

MN is dangerous! I never considered christmas bedding for myself until I read this thread. I have to have the grey alpine one from ebay! Cheers ladies!

Snowgirl1 Sun 13-Oct-13 16:13:57

SunnyRandall thanks for the cot bed one. I decided to go for the Matalan fleece as it was a bargain compared to the cot bed duver cover. I'll save my money for when DD is in a big bed and the duvet cover might last a few years, but thanks anywayy.

Unexpected Sun 13-Oct-13 17:18:11

Thanks Nick. That's a well-hidden secret isn't it? grin I'm actually not too keen on the bit I can see of the pattern so will stick with the Primark ones which I bought a few weeks ago.

jennimoo Thu 24-Oct-13 13:39:51

The H&m ones are showing on the site now. There's also a cute pink one with deer on! £14.99

SunnyRandall Thu 24-Oct-13 14:37:56

Thanks for the update! I Love the red santa duvet - 100% cotton and £12.99.

jennimoo Thu 24-Oct-13 14:46:13

I saw the matalan one on display yesterday (but not on sale yet) and it looked really nice though...

SunnyRandall Thu 24-Oct-13 14:47:02

Well I've just ordered.

Got two delivered for £18.38 in total using voucher codes 0560 (25% off most expensive item) and 1304 (£5 off).

jennimoo Thu 24-Oct-13 16:11:27

Thanks for the codes! I've now ordered the red one, and had to order a table runner to bring it to the right cost though... ;)

nickdrakeslovechild Thu 24-Oct-13 16:23:02

I now want the Next fairy one but its not in stock at the moment. Did get a couple of H&M bits those red star aprons are lovely for £1.99!
