LadyMaryChristmas Sat 24-Nov-12 16:49:06

Ds is too old and I really loved this part of his childhood. sad Help to cheer me up, what have yours asked for? smile

A yoyo hmm
A skipping rope
Moshi monsters
A "real camera not a toy one"
A simpsons money box from the pound shop.

Thats the list that sticks. Other random things come and go. Santa is also bringing a bike and a dolls house.

She is amazed by the idea of writing a list. She told me yesterday that she would have to tell Santa about her new baby sister otherwise he wouldnt know to bring her anything!

LadyMaryChristmas Sat 24-Nov-12 17:00:15

smile She sounds adorable. <wipes away the tear>

Frostyfoxy Sat 24-Nov-12 17:00:37

Felt tips and paints
A rubber duck for the bath
and a car mat (a mat with roads on for playing with toy cars)

As Wannabe said other things come and go but these are the things that are always on the list!

LadyMaryChristmas Sat 24-Nov-12 17:03:37

A rubber duck is sooo cool! grin

nananaps Sat 24-Nov-12 17:06:24

A fish tank
Water (cold)
3 fish.

A football

DoubleMum Sat 24-Nov-12 17:06:32

DD: A monster high doll and the new monster high dvd.
DS: a lego heroes set.

LadyMaryChristmas Sat 24-Nov-12 17:08:00

Smells...fishy...nanan grin

I don't think I've seen monster high. blush

Dillydollydaydream Sat 24-Nov-12 17:11:44

My ds 3yrs has asked for Drobot (skylander) that's it! His older brother has the skylanders game and for some reason ds really wants this character. £8 that cost me, bless him.

ChristmasCountdown Sat 24-Nov-12 17:12:31

DS (4) - imaginext batcave and a batman costume. He'd like the Octonauts gup x and the playmobil pirate island too but is worried Santa would think that was a bit greedy. Santa may reward this selflessness with a gup x wink

LadyMaryChristmas Sat 24-Nov-12 17:12:57

olivo Sat 24-Nov-12 17:13:58

Mine have just written theirs- 6yo asked for moshis, a barbie, a lip balm and some gel pens. 3yo would like a barbie, some bath colours and a baby.smile

They shouldn't be too disappointed grin

FawkesoidOrganisoid Sat 24-Nov-12 17:14:03

Ds has asked for Henry Hoover, Mario knex bike, a water gun and an apple tree grin

Absoluteeightiesgirl Sat 24-Nov-12 17:16:00

A pony shock

FawkesoidOrganisoid Sat 24-Nov-12 17:16:06

He also asked for scalectrix but he asked me for that not father Christmas

becstargazeypie Sat 24-Nov-12 17:16:56

A Star Wars watch, a mars bar, lemonade, Lego monster 'fiter', 'sum sweets but only if my Mum says its okay, best ask her'. So adorable. I think this might be the last year where he believes...

9yo byoy = A Christmas dinner (?????), Lego and horrible histories books.

6yo boy = Lego and Spider-Man dressing up

3yo girl = pink things.

LadyMaryChristmas Sat 24-Nov-12 17:19:16

I don't think Father Christmas is allowed to bring ponies down the chimney, Absolute. He'll have the RSPCA after him before you can say 'carrot', and that would be a sad state of affairs.

Your child is going to have a midnight snack with all of those, bec grin

LadyMaryChristmas Sat 24-Nov-12 17:20:05

Do you usually cook a Christmas dinner, Nick? grin Have you been depriving the poor child?

RedGreenRouge Sat 24-Nov-12 17:21:54

Dd2 wants a pirate ship and a parrot. I'm hoping she'll be satisfied with a toy ship. She also wants Spiderman to visit and take her on a trip across the roofs. I told her that he'll be spending Christmas Day with his own family and friends but might send her a present to make up for it.

Dd1 is more sensible and wants a scooter, some socks and a year's supply of bananas "so you don't have to grumble about the price for my lunchbox, Mummy" blush

olivo Sat 24-Nov-12 17:23:06

Oh yes, my 3yo also asked for Spider-Man pants- not sure they make them for girls!

LadyMaryChristmas Sat 24-Nov-12 17:30:13

Father Christmas really can't deliver animals down the chimney. It just isn't safe, they will get soot in their lungs sad

I'm sure they are unisex, olivo.

gemdrop84 Sat 24-Nov-12 17:51:41

DD's 4, she would like a ladybird pillow pet, a jigsaw, a vet playset, a minnie mouse tour van and anything to do with moshi monsters. FC has got her the ladybird pillow pet and will be bringing her a moshi monsters snuggie/ mickey mouse jigsaw in her stocking, me and dp got her the minnie mouse thingy and my auntie has got her the vet playset which was weird!

What worries me most is that this has actually been on the list several times before and is he disappointed when it doesn't appear in his stocking! grin

Afrodizzywonders Sat 24-Nov-12 17:55:56

DS is 2 and has asked for:
A blue present
Mummies car [hmmm]

gemdrop84 Sat 24-Nov-12 17:57:09

nickname grin

Father Christmas also doesn't deliver electronic things as well as the magic in the North Pole messes with them (like electrical things in Hogwarts- this has come from someone else and I am eternally grateful).

gemdrop84 Sat 24-Nov-12 17:59:02

that's a very good theory nickname, I like that and will nick that idea bear it in mind when dd starts asking for ipads/innotabs/ds/etc.....

gymboywalton Sat 24-Nov-12 17:59:45

DS2 (8) has not yet said what he wants this year but last year he asked for a towel with his name on and an electric pencil sharpener.

The year before he asked for a baby sister - unfortunately Santa couldn't oblige with that one! hmm

LadyMaryChristmas Sat 24-Nov-12 18:02:04

There are certain things that Father Christmas just can't bring:

Nuclear arsenal
Anything costing over x amount (varies from family to family)
Any movies the parents don't like
Annoying toys that make a repetitive sounds (although grannies are likely to do this)
Excessive sweets and chocolates unless he also supplies a cleaner.
Anything that was once living (sorry sad)
Anything illegal
Anything that would melt/burn in transit
Anything called 'Barbie'

There are certain things that he shouldn't bring:
Moon sand
Hamma beads
Drum kit

Feel free to add. grin

gymboywalton Sat 24-Nov-12 18:08:22

the rule in our house is that father christmas won't bring anything that he knows your mummy and daddy don't want you to have

LadyMaryChristmas Sat 24-Nov-12 18:08:52

Lego train
a trash pack figure
an angry birds figure
chocolate coins

The lego train was a recent addition as we recently got a puppy so told him he couldn't have anything too expensive. He couldn't come up with a 'main' present and kept asking for things and telling me they were under 5 pounds. Dh found the train set on offer and asked if he'd like it as he has looked at it before. He initially said ' No...it is £108 in toys r us' ! He agreed that he did like it though so we have tols him he can always ask and see what happens. We managed to get it for £25 of clubcard vouuchers and £20 cash.

DD1 has asked for Harry Potter. I'm sure she means Harry Potter dressing up bits ECT, as she is only 8 and bit young for him.

DD2 (5yrs) and DS (3.8yrs) everything.

ISeeThreadPeople Sat 24-Nov-12 18:26:42

5yo dd wants...

a cuddle
sausages wrapped in bacon

sweetkitty Sat 24-Nov-12 18:34:45

DD1 (8) a new bike and a surprise
DD2 (7) a Nintendo 3DS ( as she's very kindly giving her old one to DD3) and Dinosaur Lego
DD3 (4) Minnie Mouse van thing and a moshi treehouse
DS (2) a big big bin lorry

Littlebearlost Sat 24-Nov-12 19:04:03

Ds (3.6) has asked for
Batcave and batmobile (Imaginext)
Gotham jail
Hot wheels
Octonauts gup x
Pillow pet. But he wants the pink hello kitty one.
I don't think I can get it him, can I?! He loves cats which is why he wants the kitty one.

Of course you can Littlebearlost.

Last year the only thing that ds then 6 wanted was Sylvannian families. So that is what he got.

altinkum Sat 24-Nov-12 19:41:13

Ds1. (6) would like skylanders and the hulk custome (and a fair few other toys) but those are his main ones.

Ds2 (3) toys lol

MrsGeologist Sat 24-Nov-12 19:56:15

Seriously, he should be on the spiderman merchandising team, the amount of spiderman shite he says he wants. Stuff like, 'spiderman cream' and 'spiderman frying pan'

He's getting a spiderman watch and a kiddie zoom. He'll have tO keep wanting a spiderman Dijeridoo or whatever the hell he comes out with next.

duende Sat 24-Nov-12 20:01:00

3 year old DS
- play doh
- small cars

I wish I had asked him before spending significantly more than a tenner...

CocktailQueen Sat 24-Nov-12 22:37:04

9yo dd has asked for sweets, pens, notebooks and a surprise.
5yo DS asked for a football, sweets, haribo, chocolate, camera, playmobil swimming pool, goalie gloves, birds of prey tattoos, snake tattoos... He knows what he wants!

iheartdusty Sun 25-Nov-12 00:22:50

DS8 - probably knows but still pretending;

a 3DS (no)
a lego robot (yes)
and "any other tit-bits you think I would like please, thank you, yours sincerely, DS"

DD11 - 3 pages of requests, colour coded with a number of stars according to how essential each item is hmm

madbengal Sun 25-Nov-12 00:34:52

DD 11 has asked for a guitar, lego, anything Justin Bieber and anything One Direction

2muchxmaspud Sun 25-Nov-12 00:42:37

<<a chainsaw>>

In his defence he sees daddy cutting wood for our fire and thinks daddy is some kind of power tool god.

<<currently have toy chainsaw hidden>>
Just know all other presents will be of no signifigance once he unwraps it. His presents are mainly role play including a tea set and more pretend power tools.

Anythingforabitofpeace Sun 25-Nov-12 08:40:19

DS has asked for quite sensible suggestions compared to some on here! He's 3.8 and would like a Bucky ship from Jake and the Neverland Pirates and a big buzz lightyear with 3 buttons on his chest.

Dd has nothing on her list because she's only one but DS keeps suggesting items for her that are too girly for him.

buzzgirly Sun 25-Nov-12 09:14:09

My 4 year old dd has been asking for a pink horsie for months, it is actually a barbie horse that walks by itself. She informed me last night that she would like a skateboard too.

DS will only be 11 months so I'm sure he will just enjoy trying to eat the wrapping paper, however dd informs me that he is getting a pirate ship from Santa!

CharlotteBronteSaurus Sun 25-Nov-12 09:19:13

dd1 (5.8):
"A Christian Cross necklace" (we are atheists but Jesus is her latest craze)
"A Cuddly Unicorn just like the one I saw in the charity shop on holiday" (WTF?)
"Some perfume of my very own"

dd2 (2.0), very loose grasp of Christmas:
"Christmas cake"

2muchxmaspud Sun 25-Nov-12 09:22:28

Yes we have a bucky for DS, Im itching to get it out the box to try it! He loves pirates aswell. The only downside to it is it only comes with a jakefigure, DS wants Hook and Smee so we're going to have to buy them seperate. I think for the price of it, it could have had at least Cubby and Izzy. Well said the companies know what they are doing.

DumSpiroSpero Sun 25-Nov-12 09:23:56

Top of my 8yo DD's list is 'Adopt a Snow Leopard' from the WWF fund.

DH is not impressed because he suspects (probably quite rightly) that she wouldn't be remotely interested if it didn't happen to involve a cuddly snow leopard toy.

I know he is right but I'm wavering tbh, although between us and her grandparents she's getting spoilt rotten this year.

Also, Build a Bear clothes & mini bear, Paper FX, books, DVD's & chocolate.

DesperatelySeekingSedatives Sun 25-Nov-12 09:29:26

DD aged 5 has asked for:

an ice cream maker
a milkshake maker
a lollypop maker
She wants to open a shop apparently.
she's also asked for a sylvanian family bed for her 40 odd SF people.

she's getting the ice cream maker (real not toy) and some SF things. She will not get the lollypop maker as the only one I could find was made by the same company that makes the chocolate coin maker. and we have a blender already so she isn't the milkshake maker.

And she is not opening a shop right now. She says she will when she's grown up and done all her learning at school. I'm happy with that smile

She tried to use DS's list to wangle some barbies out of FC as she wrote it for him hmm canny madam.

DS (4): HotWheels. When prompted whether he'd like something else he pondered and replied "more HotWheels"
DD (2.5): A purple present. When asked what she'd like inside her purple present she said "a blue present"

What they will be getting:
DS: HotWheels, a big tank that I told him was too expensive large for FC but managed to find on eBay, meccano, rolobox kit, diecast planes, my little pony princess, toy sweet shop that I asked FC for damn near every year but never bloody received and Lego Friends.
DD: Moxie girlz doll & horse, tool kit, geomag, my little pony figures, doll, k'nex, Hello Kitty Unico (Duplo-style) stables to go with her massive Duplo collection and some play food boxes/cartons.

They'll also get a small gift from me and DH.

DS (16) boy computery stuff, a £1000 pc (hollow laugh)
Dd1 (14) clothes, CDs, make-up, trainers
Dd2 (9) UGGs, Lego with people, pink laptop, phone, clothes, things for her little sisters smile
Dd3 (2) everything that is advertised on tv. But particularly a peppa pig tree house and a Thomas railway.
Dd4 (1) whatever dd3 gets.
The littlies both love dolls and I managed to get a cheap 2nd hand rocking horse that I know they'll love! They're a lovely age. They're so easy to please. The others are lovely kids but they don't get much during the year so save up wish lists for Christmas and their lists are usually expensive! They won't be getting all the things they ask for.

DS (4) also wants most things advertised on tv.

He's asked for:
Vauxhall astra, like daddy's. A real one though, not a toy.
A dummy and a book about a dummy for his brother.

I think he'll be happy with anything,I hope smile

TheReturnOfBridezilla Sun 25-Nov-12 14:42:20

Three trains. grin

hels71 Sun 25-Nov-12 16:11:57

DD is 5. She has asked for a hula hoop, some jelly babies and, if it's not too much, a chocolate orange as mummy won't buy her one....I think she will be happy on Christmas day!

altinkum Sun 25-Nov-12 17:07:05

2muchxmaspud, my ds is getting a STIHL (toy ones, best chainsaw chainsaw maker apparently) and strimmer with attachable belt, as his dad is a tree surgeon and all ds2 looks at in the Argos catalogue is these ( these are off the inlaws.

Doobydoo Sun 25-Nov-12 17:17:37

DS2 IS 5 AND AHALF/...aPARROT {will have a chatimal one...which is fab/and cheaper!]

Dd (2)

Ds (3) has asked for:

A Jessie that talks (from toy story, he got buzz and woody last year)
A lego aeroplane
A purple bow for mummy.

Bless him, I might have to get the bow as he really thinks I'd love it smile

bangersnmash Sun 25-Nov-12 19:30:08

Dd1 aged 6 has asked for

Dinosaurs - but friendly ones that don't eat each other.
Felt tips

Dd2 is only 1 so DD1has decided she needs a toy to sit on with wheels .

voddiekeepsmesane Sun 25-Nov-12 19:40:38

DewDr0p Mon 26-Nov-12 00:02:58

My 3 have asked for...

Ds1 (8) iPod touch
Ds2 (6) camera
Ds3 (5) it's not in my head yet grin

2 years ago ds1 asked for a folder... How times have changed!

2muchxmaspud Mon 26-Nov-12 08:54:06

altinkum thanks for that. A strimmer would be fantastic as he walks around with a bit of train track pretending ots his strimmer. Where can I get these from??

Marne Mon 26-Nov-12 09:04:05

Dd1- skylanders, more skylanders, harry potter, nerf gun, trash packs.

Dd2- lego duplo zoo, moshi monsters, hello kitty, Mr Men.

Marne Mon 26-Nov-12 09:05:06

Last year i asked dd2 to write her list, i came back down stairs to find she had written it on the wall in marker pen grin.

My 3.6 DD has asked for

A piggy bank
Gold pixie dust
An inflatable dolphin
A Barbie House (but means any dolls house or farm house)
Playmobil farm shop.

D0oinMeCleanin Mon 26-Nov-12 09:11:30

dd2's said "Deer Santer, all I wont for crissmas is a laptop wiv moshee monstis and evreething onit and a soh"

Dd1's was normal. The same things she asks for every year in the same order of importance

1) A poodle or a chihuahua - a puppy would be best but Santa can rescue one if he wants to.
2) A ipad
3) A kindle - I want the fire one now.
4) Books by - she wrote an author name but I can't remember it
5) Lemony Snicket books
6) If you get me present 2 or 3 then you could download 4 and 5 and they would be cheeper.
