TaggieCampbellBlack Tue 20-Nov-12 07:32:41

Morning fellow Black Friday Bargain Finders!

What are we looking at today?

TaggieCampbellBlack Tue 20-Nov-12 07:33:37

Can somrone link to yesterdays thread please. I'm on my phone and technically incompetent.

TaggieCampbellBlack Tue 20-Nov-12 07:39:43

I AbsolutelyMustHave

An epilator
A kyak
Fly boots
Crocs
A camera

Pourquoimoi Tue 20-Nov-12 07:43:11

Does anyone know if deals get repeated if they are not all claimed?

I spotted too late yesterday that the camera I've had on my wish list was £40 off in a lightening deal. There were 4 colours available but only a max of 23% was claimed of any colour.

Do I have any chance??

Do you think they might have an iPod on it at all? I'm beginning to think I should have got that Samsung one yesterday....

ClaimedByMe Tue 20-Nov-12 07:45:06

Signing in! I had a look through and there is nothing I particularly want but a few things I might need

TaggieCampbellBlack Tue 20-Nov-12 07:46:50

Going by last year some stuff does get repeated, particularly if it didn't sell out (i'm remembering the zumba fitness pack whick came up over and over).

Mama1980 Tue 20-Nov-12 07:47:39

Hi does anyone have a link to the deals available today please? I can't seem to find them not sure what I'm doing wrong.

TaggieCampbellBlack Tue 20-Nov-12 07:47:55

I might need a seasonal namechange. Hang on......

I've made my list:
Meerkat book
Pink ipad case
Rocksmith xbox game
Mens ted baker shoes
Holdall
Paintshop- is this like photoshop?
Norton security
Steam mop
Le creuset
Brown mens belfield tshirt
crocs- don't judge me, apparently they are really good for walking round the Disney parks
See what the album is at 5.45
The fondant thing
Joseph Joseph chopping boards (already have the utensils for £20- think these were off Amazon too)
Food processor
Obv hopefully won't get them all, but will if they're a good price and I'm quick enough smile

I'm not sure sorry, Pour. I'd keep an eye out though.

Mama1980 Tue 20-Nov-12 07:49:53

Your a angel grin thanks

grin

It's not signed into my account is it? <wibble>

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 07:53:43

No. Went to Taggie's Amazon.

Mama1980 Tue 20-Nov-12 07:54:05

No just checked smile

Ok phew. Thanks smile

Are we ready...limber up those fingers grin

Oops my finger just bought those nursery rhyme books....

Decided against the Meerkat books and bought myself some leggings instead

Mama1980 Tue 20-Nov-12 08:04:27

Yay I just got the meerkat books for only 7£ something, dd and ds will love

The collection of Julia Donaldson books (what the ladybird heard etc) is cheaper from The Book People. Glad I checked before checking out.

spookysal Tue 20-Nov-12 08:05:17

Had both both childrens books sets in my basket but decided to only buy the nursery rhyme set as we have a lot of picture books already. My self control is surprising me atm!

spookysal Tue 20-Nov-12 08:06:49

LadybirdsAreFab - Thanks, glad I didn't buy them, I almost did. I must be more savy and have a proper look around in future.

Ah, ffs, only 5 mins in and I had already bought 3 things blush

Badvocsanta Tue 20-Nov-12 08:10:06

I got 2 of the wii udraw yesterday.
Very pleased.
Nothing today I like the look of sad

grin

I bought them blush Ah well, I've moved onto dh's money now grin

spookysal Tue 20-Nov-12 08:11:05

The nursery rhyme books would work out cheaper on The Book People if you have a free delivery code as well.

Remember they will probably add things later on.

SlightlySuperiorPeasant Tue 20-Nov-12 08:11:34

I got the nursery rhyme books hmm

Now, I absolutely must not buy a kayak! My county is landlocked, we don't have a roof rack and the garage is full of DH's junk.

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 08:15:11

What is a cool cajon and how mych do i want one?

Wii at 1.59pm
Goose fat at 5.50
grin

I'm eyeing up the XBox guitar game. Will have a conference call with DH about it <takes it all vair seriously>

Is there really goose fat at 5.50? I can't see it confused

ClaimedByMe Tue 20-Nov-12 08:22:19

Do they ever put alcohol on it? I have to get a bottle of port for someone!

I never goose fat, I may need goose fat!

ClaimedByMe Tue 20-Nov-12 08:22:39

Saw*

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 08:31:23

First purchase: Where's the Meerkat?

smile

Hmph. Does the add to basket button take ages to load once it gets to 0 seconds for anyone else?

Snazzyfeelingfestive Tue 20-Nov-12 08:32:07

Morning!

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 08:32:29

Have only looked an hour or so ahed - like the look of the radio with iphone dock.

Also decided against the ipad case. I said to myself if it's around £20 dreaming again I'll buy it. I'm getting there, restraining myself grin

What's up next for everyone?

TurquoiseCat Tue 20-Nov-12 08:45:57

Hmm. I got both kids book sets blush. Must crosscheck better in future!

I'm nearly wetting myself for Colombo. Been wanting it for ages and have a birthday voucher that I didn't know what to get with. DH wants the multitool if it's £30 or less [yawn emoticon] and those baby wipes are cheap now, never mind on offer, so I think I'll try to get those.

I've been very boring and anal organised and set phone alarms for what I want. That is sad isn't it?

grin at wii and goose fat

Good thinking about the alarms. I am in all day (2 sick dc), mustnotspendanymoremustnotspendanymoremustnotspendanymore

None of it has been for me though, so therefore doesn't really count hmmgrin

Kveta Tue 20-Nov-12 09:07:24

quite pleased there is only 1 thing I want today, and that's the cookie cutters/decorating set!

I've got DH the xbox game. Hope it's not to basic for him 'cos he used to play guitar in a band -- unfortunately never hit the big time tho'-- grin . Just have to get the xbox now then hmm

oops strike out fail!

AfternoonsandCoffeespoons Tue 20-Nov-12 09:18:02

Morning! [gin] Managed to avoid it so far this morning and got to do a very quick tidy up before settle in too much. Need to be back for the vacuum cleaner and woody clock at 9.59, but really trying to keep away other than that! I absolutely will not even be looking at the FLY boots. (Maybe if I write it on here, I might actually manage to do it!)

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 09:18:47

I was tempted by the guitar game for DS1. But we don't have a guitar grin

I have just bought the radio/ipod dock as I was looking for one like it before.

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 09:19:42

My next temptation is the girls watch at 9:44 for DD - nearly 7. Girly without being too babyish I thought.

chocolateicecream Tue 20-Nov-12 09:24:31

I am on the waiting list for the Where's The Meerkat book. So how does this work, new to Black Friday deals??

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 09:26:17

If enough people don't check out, you'll get a pop up that invites you to claim it within X minutes.

If someone decides they don't want it anymore and you're on the waiting list, then you may get a box in the top right hand corner by the basket. It'll give you the chance to buy it. It all depends on when you clicked on the waiting list 'cos they will be a queue. Sorry if this makes no sense, I'm rubbish at explaining things!

bagpuss Tue 20-Nov-12 09:27:37

Morning! <<marks place>>

Looking at kindle cases still, and that le creuset although the colour still isn't right. Have sent dh the link just in case he wants to buy it for me grin.

Or just what SoupDragon said, in much fewer words than me grin

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 09:29:34

grin

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 09:30:59

I am looking at the "volt" cajon thingy - the union jack box. It seems to be a drum but I'm thinking at the right price it would be a cool stool for DS1's bedroom which has a red/white/blue theme going on.

Arithmeticulous Tue 20-Nov-12 09:31:48

I got one of those watches last year, it was about £6-7 in the end I think. The purse was alright, I suppose, the watch looked a bit cheap and the necklace was not worth it. If I'd paid full price I'd be upset.

chocolateicecream Tue 20-Nov-12 09:32:38

Cheers, that explains it smile.

Right, there's nothing I want 'til 12.45 so I'm going to get cracking with some wrapping and keep looking to see if anything else pops up

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 09:37:37

Arithmeticulous, yes, I had figured at £14.99, full price, quality wouldn't be high. I suspect she will lose it or break it in a short space of time anyway. I will think about it.

bagpuss Tue 20-Nov-12 09:38:09

Kindle case for dd1 bought blush.

Tortoise Tue 20-Nov-12 09:41:43

I want the disney lets dance for DDs.
Would love one of the ice watches but not an essential purchase!
Love the look of fly boots!
And the mens cat vinson boots!
But i will not be buying any boots!!

Tortoise Tue 20-Nov-12 09:42:53

Alarm setting is a good idea but sometimes they add items and times change. The Disney lets dance said 1.44 this morning but its 1.59 now.

BTW, if you want that purple watch and you've bought something off Amazon before (not sure what you have to buy though) and you've had an email off them saying you have 'qualified for a £10 promotional gift certificate to spend on selected Amazon Fashion.'

add watch to basket, go to checkout and the £10 discount is applied, so it's £20.

Sorry again if it makes no sense, just wanted to write it down quick before they all went.

Right, back to the wrapping for 5 mins

Arithmeticulous Tue 20-Nov-12 09:51:33

Thanks for that - it does make sense! I had put it in my basket but was dithering over £30, another tenner off makes it much better grin

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 09:55:54

My email says the minimum is £40 to get the £10 off though

smile Glad to have helped.

Mine did too, but if you go to the checkout it should go to £20. It did for me.

Arithmeticulous Tue 20-Nov-12 09:58:49

It worked, I'm not going to be too worried - I think it's because it goes through at the original price, then they add the discount so it looks like a bigger discount than it really is and in this case, because the original price is >£40, then they add the other fashion discount as well. So the price says something like
Cost: £56
P&P: £0
Discount: Black Friday -£26
Discount: Fashion -£10
Total: £20

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 10:00:25

Fabulous!

Rosa Tue 20-Nov-12 10:01:03

Oh bugger got the Ipad waterproof cover ...So thats Dh present from the dds sorted.. I resisted the ice watch and am now stepping away .. Black Friday is bad news.....

If you are on the wait list stay by the computer. Yesterday I waitlisted for 2 of the Melissa and Doug items. The box came up that one became free so I waited 10 mins to see if the other came up , it diddn't so I topped up hmm to get free delivery ( I am abroad) and then after a further 15 mins the other one came up ... By then I was away from the computer ( good thing) so I missed it !

Did it work?

AfternoonsandCoffeespoons Tue 20-Nov-12 10:04:11

Yay! Got the vacuum! Not a great discount but we really do need one, so would've spent the full price anyway. Decided against the clock, though, its still a lot to pay for a clock really. Nothing else I want to see today, at least until this evening, so I'm signing out for now.

blibblibs Tue 20-Nov-12 10:04:15

All I want today are the fly boots and I'll be doing bloody pick up when they go on sad
May have to go for the gloves in half hour instead smile

ShoopShoop Tue 20-Nov-12 10:06:16

sad Missed the Toy Story clock.

Really want Crocs

May get Jammies if price is good.

I've reshuffled work meetings so I can stare at the computer at critical times blush

bagpuss Tue 20-Nov-12 10:06:34

That's a good tip abut the watches. I missed today's but might see if I can get one for ds1 later.

Arithmeticulous Tue 20-Nov-12 10:14:58

There was another Lego clock yesterday - I think I'd prefer Buzz or a Ninjago one than Woody, so I'm waiting to see what's on later.

ShoopShoop Tue 20-Nov-12 10:18:21

Oooh thanks for the tip Arith. I'll keep an eye out. I couldn't get online much yesterday so couldn't keep up with all the deals.

Today WILL be different grin

AfternoonsandCoffeespoons Tue 20-Nov-12 10:26:09

Ooh lucky I had one more check what was coming up before I left. Just seen the Leapfrog Explorer coming up at 3.30. Have been umming and ahhing over one for DS for christmas, so thats made that desicion for me!

prattling I was just coming on to say that! £20 for an Ice Watch is a bargain. I really need to stop buying stuff for myself and get some christmas presents bought blush

Tortoise Tue 20-Nov-12 10:27:40

Damn, didn't see that about watch until now sad

I think it'll be on any fashion items with a rrp above £40 so plenty of time to spend it!

AuntieShirley Tue 20-Nov-12 10:30:33

Hmm. DD is getting a bass guitar for Christmas. I have just seen the acoustic ones, but I think she wants electric. Not sure what to do now! And the Sylvanians are on at 3.30 - school pick up! Grrr.

Arithmeticulous Tue 20-Nov-12 10:34:25

It didn't work on the Cyber Jammies - I was so hoping I could get them for £8 grin

Me too Arith, hmph.

ShoopShoop Tue 20-Nov-12 10:36:02

I wanted the Jammies for £8 too but it didn't work. sad Never mind! Still a bargain grin

ShoopShoop Tue 20-Nov-12 10:38:18

Puddle Jumper Armbands are next for me. Better do some work I suppose.....hmm

Whyriskit Tue 20-Nov-12 10:40:22

Got the gloves in purple for SIL. One advantage to being off work with a sick DS2. Nothing I want now though until the Joseph Joseph chopping boards....

Wowserz129 Tue 20-Nov-12 10:40:44

Can someone tell me how much the GHDS ended up being yesterday?

ClaimedByMe Tue 20-Nov-12 10:40:47

I am hoping for a star wars Lego clock! Lego advent calendars are coming on at some point this week too, I hope they do the girls one too

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 10:48:08

I am now free until 12:44 - FLy Boots grin

SlightlySuperiorPeasant Tue 20-Nov-12 10:50:21

GHDs were £73

schilke Tue 20-Nov-12 10:50:53

I am a member of Lovefilm and have been for several years. Last year I bought a 6 month subscription for £17 during these deals. This year is says new members only - seems a bit unfair. I don't know whether to risk getting one?

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 10:52:28

11.29 book for DH
12.44 boots for me.

Ooh Lovefilm is a bit cheaper this year.

schilke Tue 20-Nov-12 11:03:36

Well I have a lovefilm deal in my basket, but it's not going to work is it as I'm already a member?

Probably not sad

I hope there will be some cheap cds and dvds soon like there was last year.

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 11:06:05

Is it right that if you've subscribed to LoveFilm before you can't use the 6 month offer?

Wowserz129 Tue 20-Nov-12 11:06:53

Just got the dexter box set grin now got to try and get wii just dance if I remember later. Was tempted on the OXO feeding bowl for my son but can't really justify a tenner on a plate .

schilke Tue 20-Nov-12 11:09:26

That"s what it says Imp. I got one last year when I was already a member, but I can't remember if it said new members only then. I could be tempted to get it and then give it to my parents if it doesn't work, but my dad hates having to give his details, so he won't want to put his credit card details in!

schilke Tue 20-Nov-12 11:10:01

Dexter is fab. Got the box set on eBay and we'e have just finished series 3.

Anyone else find it fascinating when there is the same thing in more than one colour to see which goes the fastest? blush
I am so tempted to look at the dolls pram this evening for dd for next year, but we really don't need it yet!
Does anyone know if there'll be any Lego anytime soon?
I kind of remember there being more 'mystery' items last year...

Twitterqueen Tue 20-Nov-12 11:13:03

Sorry if this has been raised earlier, but I'm trying to buy the leather gloves and at checkout I'm being asked to pay the full price - there is no discount applied.

What am I doing wrong?

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 11:13:37

Thanks schlike, I didn't refresh so missed you all saying that blush Rubbish, it's such a good deal sad

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 11:17:09

Reviews on the LoveFilm offer say it was definitely available to existing subscribers last year.

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 11:20:40

I can recommend Camilla Lackberg books coming up. Really enjoyed them. Swedish crime type.

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 11:21:36

Twitterqueen, there shold be a line sayng "promotional discount" which takes it to the offer price.

Twitterqueen Tue 20-Nov-12 11:25:52

Thanks soup, but I'm not seeing it. I'm signed in correctly, but don't see the discount line#

Heartbeep Tue 20-Nov-12 11:25:59

How are you notified if you're on the waiting list? I missed the dexter box set but on wait list - although poor.

Do you need to sit & wait?

ISeeThreadPeople Tue 20-Nov-12 11:30:14

I'm not getting it at all this year. Is there some way of seeing more than 2 upcoming offers at once? Last year I could see a whole page of them. There are several things at the same time I'm interested in. How the heck do I get all of them up on screen? I can currently see two things at a time.

Heartbeep Tue 20-Nov-12 11:31:00

Just answered my own question as I opened the amazon window it had popped up in my basket & of course I was too late to purchase!

Back to the bottom of the wait list now sad

Have to go get DD from nursery in 10 mins so I doubt I'll get it...

chocolateicecream Tue 20-Nov-12 11:33:06

Missed the meerkats, apparently my time to claim had expired, the joys of children keeping you busy!

TheSandstoneCat Tue 20-Nov-12 11:33:31

I am on the wait list for something - how will I know if I have a chance to buy it or do I have to sit in front of my computer all morning waiting?! Did get the ice watch for £20 though - absolute bargain!

ShoopShoop Tue 20-Nov-12 11:33:41

Just got the set of three Scandinavian crime books for my Nan. smile Bit of an impluse purchase as I was supposed to be holding off for the puddle jumper things hmm

What happened to all of the clues like there was last year?

ISee are you on an ipad? On my ipad I can only see 2 at a time but on the laptop, I can see 7.

I got the crime books too, for my mil.

schilke Tue 20-Nov-12 11:37:38

Warning - lack of packaging. You know how amazon things are normally well packaged, well dh just opened door to courier and accepted a parcel......his christmas present. I was upstairs and dh shouted up "Have you bought an rac air compressor?". (I know it's not very exciting!). There was no usual amazon box, just air compressor box with name label stuck on.

So be careful if any presents arrive in the presence of recipients!

The compressor did say that would be the case with packaging in the description. If it is a gift for someone then they say to order it as a gift.

chocolateicecream Tue 20-Nov-12 11:49:46

Got Dd a nice little watch for £6. Not bad so feeling much better about missing the Meerkats smile.

SlightlySuperiorPeasant Tue 20-Nov-12 12:00:49

I got the LoveFilm subscription for me DH.

Just texted DH about the little dictionary/crossword solver, DS stood on FIL's crossword solver, so have been meaning to look for a new one for him. Hope it goes for a good price, it's very expensive at the moment!!

ShoopShoop Tue 20-Nov-12 12:05:51

Got the armbands grin

Musn't buy boots blush

schilke Tue 20-Nov-12 12:09:41

Oh is that what certified frustration free packaging means?! I thought that it meant not wrapped in irritating plastic. It is not very secure as the box was half open.

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 12:11:45

I think i need a vibrating bath pillow.

Git DH his train book.

Hmm, now I'm not sure... I really shouldn't read the bad reviews, 3 very bad reviews vs 80 brilliant reviews confused

Arithmeticulous Tue 20-Nov-12 12:18:18

Do I need an Anglepoise lamp? confused

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 12:18:30

I don't need a £15 bath pillow.

I don't need the boots but I reallyreallyreallyreally want them. Might have a nap and not watch them.

DH thinks we should get the piella pan for DD1. Poor child. What an exciting present to unwrap.

DorisIsWaiting Tue 20-Nov-12 12:19:21

Yay! I got the silver anglepoise I wanted !!!

I've also bought a wall bracket for £16 so it can be wall mounted. Now very happy that we will have a reading light in the lounge

mignonette Tue 20-Nov-12 12:20:44

Yes let's all boost the profits of tax dodgers. If we all bought something using supersaver free delivery from Amazon itself then returned it unopened with

"Sending back in protest at your immoral tax practices" they'd have to re-think their arrangements. Because it'd start costing them.

SlightlySuperiorPeasant Tue 20-Nov-12 12:22:21

We had the tax-dodging discussion yesterday.

mignonette Tue 20-Nov-12 12:24:43

Well I am having it today because I am not on MN everyday and cannot monitor every thread. If we applied that logic, the whole site would be dead in the water because let's face it, most threads are re-worded re hashes of the same or similar themes.

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 12:27:50

I said it yesterday and I will repeat today.

Bollocks. I'm too (relatively) poor to have morals.

And it's Such Fun.

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 12:28:29

Perhaps the government would like to close some of the loopholes that people use to avoid tax. That would be more helpful.

SlightlySuperiorPeasant Tue 20-Nov-12 12:28:50

Just saying. Because this is a fun thread for people with loose morals grin

Yup, we get the message. Now can we get back to shopping?
I have no morals when it comes to obtaining cheap Christmas presents either blush

mummytime Tue 20-Nov-12 12:31:36

Mignonette lots of companies are tax dodgers, we need our government or the EU to tighten tax rules (ideally the EU, because whey should Luxembourg be a tax haven). However just as I don't boycott Nestlé over baby milk (other companies do it) or never boycotted Proctor and Gamble (they were all satanists you know) or so on. I'm quite happy to get my fitness gadget I never new I needed for at least 1/2 price.

I did used to boycott South African and Chilian goods back in the day, and try to avoid West Bank settler stuff.

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 12:31:44

Better loose morals than bowels.

littlemisstax Tue 20-Nov-12 12:32:12

very dull, but I've order the nappy bin cartridges. Needed them anyway so that's an extra £6 to spend on me ignoring the fact that our amazon account is linked to DH's credit card I want the Joseph Jospeh chopping boards too so will have to keep watching smile

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 12:33:27

11 minutes til the boots.

Taggie grin

mignonette Tue 20-Nov-12 12:34:13

You can do both (protests) you know. Anyway, lovely attitudes on display here grin

I didn't want the boots at first. Now I neeeeeeeddd them.

grin Taggie

I nearly missed the opening of the crossword thingy due to this thread, but it didn't have enough knocked off. 70odd% and I would have gone for it, although would probably have missed it at that price!

mignonette Tue 20-Nov-12 12:35:01

And taggie as for your comment- better to be full of shit than to behave like a piece of it.....smile

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 12:37:37

That is not very nice mignonette. Even with the somewhat passive agressive smile.

Bog off and let me enjoy my boot shopping.

Mignonette, I know that you didn't know that we had this yesterday as well, people are just a little irritated at this being brought up again on a thread where we just want to discuss shopping.
There are many crusades to join, we can't follow them all, so those on this thread have obviously decided to follow different ones to you.
Maybe you could start a seperate thread to generate discussion about it if you wish to spread the word?

mignonette Tue 20-Nov-12 12:41:42

You started it Taggie with your really nice comment. God what a disingenuous comment. Now i will bog off because quite frankly you can dish the shit but you won't take it.

Moral lightweights.

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 12:46:40

I have immoral boots in my basket.

Should I?

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 12:48:02

Bargain boots grin

Oops I just bought some brown boots grin

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 12:51:26

I put mine back. I don't need them <<sob>>

SlightlySuperiorPeasant Tue 20-Nov-12 12:51:54

Arf @ immoral boots

I just need to confirm should I??? (Boots)

blibblibs Tue 20-Nov-12 12:52:28

Just got myself some lovely brown boots grin
Didn't get the extra £10 off but don't care - bargin without it grin

I can always send them back can't I??

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 12:54:38

I have brown boots too grin

Oops I did it. DP is not going to be impressed...

Saved over £100 grin

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 12:55:34

buy them!

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 12:56:06

I was prepared to get them if they were 50% off.

pennylovesleonard Tue 20-Nov-12 12:57:05

I got some lovely fly boots! Yay!
And I got a fit bit earlier, now I need to stop buying things for me & start looking for Xmas presents!! grin

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 13:00:54

The next thing I am considering is the mattress at 1:29.

ratbagcatbag Tue 20-Nov-12 13:02:12

Wii Just Dance 4 - always a laugh and the tracks aren't bad! What do we reckon will be off?

Nothing else I am really fancying today.

I think this thread is a bad influence on me hmm

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 13:12:02

How large are the 'extra large' sweet thingys?

30cm or 4 foot 2?

If i'm awake i may need them for stockings.

AnnaBegins Tue 20-Nov-12 13:18:40

OMG I bought the boots! Was that a good idea? Should I have done it? I think they are lovely, are they really?

blibblibs Tue 20-Nov-12 13:20:31

It was a very good idea - they are lovely.
Only problem I can see is that lots of people will now be walking around in lovely boots grin

Arithmeticulous Tue 20-Nov-12 13:21:00

Which do you think would be better - the Disney Just Dance, or just Just Dance?

If you used easyfundraising then Amazon would have to give 2.5% of every purchase you make to a charity of your choice. Would that help to offset some of the tax guilt?

CointreauVersial Tue 20-Nov-12 13:28:47

Just picked up some very dull Norton Internet Security software for a bargain price - ours is about to expire (not surprising, as I bought it in last year's Black Friday), so very timely.

Nothing else that excites me for the rest of the day. The DDs are after Wii Just Dance 4 for Christmas, but my brother has already bought them a copy. And I'm sure DS would love the headphones, but it would need to be a pretty meaty discount for them to be affordable.

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 13:33:16

Arith... I was thinking Just Dance. I"m not sure I could stand hearing stuff from Shake It Up Chicago etc grin

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 13:33:53

I have just bought a mattress. Long overdue!

I've had to cancel some orders (not the lovely boots though smile) a couple of books & the xbox game. I've just had an email reminding me we have to pay for our holiday soon <gulp> Reality hit me with a sharp stick. No more spending <slaps hand> unless some realllllly cheap stuff pops up

spookysal Tue 20-Nov-12 13:36:32

Any idea what the coral vide software is like? I only want it to edit the masses of homevideo I have sat on the computer.

Now I'm worried the boots won't fit my fat calves... Ah well I will have to diet if they don't!

MustafaCake Tue 20-Nov-12 13:40:19

Aagh missed the lovely Fly biker boots!

How did I not know about these great deals!

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 14:01:00

£15.99 for Just Dance... dithering.

Wow, those went quick!

Arithmeticulous Tue 20-Nov-12 14:02:25

Soup - It's got They Might Be Giants on it - that I have to see grin

ShoopShoop Tue 20-Nov-12 14:04:30

What do we think of the Bjorn Borg boxers coming up at 2.15pm? Nasty or nice confused

I'm concerned I'm losing my judgement in my quest for bargains!

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 14:06:02

It's not the Birdhouse in Your Soul song though sad

9 minutes to decide...

neddle Tue 20-Nov-12 14:07:57

I managed to get the Disney dance and just dance 4 in my basket. Dithered on 4 then put it back. I think my kids will love the disney one - they're 11,7 & 5.5

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 14:16:27

I went with the non-DIsney one

scrappydappydoo Tue 20-Nov-12 14:20:06

I got the Disney version - Would have liked for it to have been a bit cheaper but I know dd1 will love it soo...

ShoopShoop Tue 20-Nov-12 14:31:46

Didn't get the boxers - not that much of a bargain really....

Might be tempted by the Little People at 3.30pm grin

neddle Tue 20-Nov-12 14:41:18

Cheaper would have been nicer, but it's only been out 3 weeks. According to Camel, £22-97 was the cheapest price anyway.

Ooo, a few things have been added for later on...

Oh damn. Off for a look...

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 14:55:31

Does anyone know the cheapest place to get wii remotes please? One of our is knackered.

OhCobblers Tue 20-Nov-12 14:56:01

Could someone pls explain to a thick person exactly how black Friday operates?
I'm confusing myself by reading various explanations.
And do I really need the Joseph Joseph chopping boards? Do we know how much they'll go down to?

Arithmeticulous Tue 20-Nov-12 15:01:00

They've added the Lego Bundles back in for 4.15 - the Ninjago one looks ok, it was £22? yesterday.

Cobblers you have to guess how much - could be 15%, could be 75% - about 30-50% off is average. Just chuck it in your basket then you have 15 minutes to chicken check it out at that price. Best to say yes then no later, while you can.

Piemistress Tue 20-Nov-12 15:03:47

oOOO found some more Black Friday addicts smile

Another person who couldn't resist the Fly biker boots. Hope they fit and I got the right size! Anyone know how their sizing comes up?

Keeping a finger on the pulse for the chopping boards and cookery books smile

Sorry, I should have said what the extra things were, but I couldn't (still can't!) work out what the Lego things were! blush
Think there are some cook books later on which weren't there before?

ISeeThreadPeople Tue 20-Nov-12 15:11:46

Sorry, am laptop, still only seeing 2 things. I can't work out any way of seeing any more on one page.

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 15:13:35

Baby wipes coming up....
<tragic>

I am having a look at those too, imp grin

Bloody hell, all of 30 seconds and I am 38th on the wait list hmm

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 15:16:44

Got 'em grin

Well done, you must have fast fingers grin

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 15:20:29

12 packs of baby wipes for a fiver, thank you very much smile

Argh! How does the wait list work if on an iPad?

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 15:22:17

Sorry, got a bit excited there, have been reading the thread but hadn't yet posted. Lovely to 'meet' you fellow bargain hunters!

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 15:23:56

For me it still comes up on the corner, but you have to stay on the amazon page to see it. I have my laptop set up purely on Amazon, my iPad for browsing, and a baby abandoned in the corner blush

Welcome to the thread grin

Cross posted. I have two ill dc flopped on the sofa, watching cbeebies, ideal for spending too much money on amazon grin

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 15:26:51

Piemistress, my old Fly boots are true to size for me.

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 15:27:06

WoW - Thanks. Just got to see if I can recreate it for a Leapster!

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 15:27:49

With a 4 month old, I think its only right I managed to get wipes! Never mind the ones I have already stocked piled from the Costco offer.

I don't want a leapster but still strangely excited about what they go for and how quickly grinblush

KatoPotato Tue 20-Nov-12 15:29:28

Oh come on somebody... let me have the Columbo Boxset!!

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 15:31:13

I've got one in the basket, but I have no idea if it's a good price or not confused off to google...

KatoPotato Tue 20-Nov-12 15:32:20

DH and I have been promising this for ourselves for three years...

The little people thing was good, but DH would kill me if I filled our small house with any more random toys smile

How do I know when I haven't got the wipes?

Piemistress Tue 20-Nov-12 15:33:53

gutted i missed the wipes as was getting DD up from nap, booo snooze you lose!!

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 15:35:03

I may have bought the little people thing, with the intention of putting it away for the baby's birthday (July) (and he will only be turning 1) (I need to step away from Amazon) blush

ShoopShoop Tue 20-Nov-12 15:35:21

Argh - don't know whether to check out my little people or not.

DH will kill me....

I'm guessing I won't get them as most people will check them out sad

Dooo iiiittt!

<living vicariously>

Anyone manage to get a leapster?

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 15:37:24

I imagine most will check them out whispers they would be daft not to at that price.

He'll be the perfect age, loupee smile

Yeah, that's what I thought sad

TurquoiseCat Tue 20-Nov-12 15:38:07

No wipes for me stupid slow refresh, grrr

But with the offer and my birthday voucher, I did get Colombo for £3.50 and the really is the important thing!

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 15:38:11

But it is such a bargain shoop he can't be that mad!

ShoopShoop Tue 20-Nov-12 15:38:12

Ooops - I just did it. We live in a weeny house and are already drowning in Happy Land and Toot Toot blush. But DD will love it!

KatoPotato Tue 20-Nov-12 15:39:33

I got it! Hurrah!

secrectsoutherncomfortdrinker Tue 20-Nov-12 15:39:59

missed the little peoples wheelies arrgggggh why do kids need to eat?

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 15:40:14

Ah well, these things happen, not much you can do about it now!

I thought it was 5 days, not 7... Is it sad that I am now a little worried about what i'll miss on Sunday while we're out?blush

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 15:40:55

Pratting - I'm not going to check out my leapster. Do you want me to get if for you?

Piemistress Tue 20-Nov-12 15:41:04

at least the night feeds come in handy planning the next days deals smile

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 15:41:21

Yey well done kato it is rather satisfying!

SuperScribbler Tue 20-Nov-12 15:42:37

So far I have bought the Canon 650 camera for DH, an anglepoise lamp, Asics trainers, a shredder and a spiderman dressing gown. I had a Leapster in my basket, but put it back because I think DS is getting a bit old for it (he's nearly 6) and would probably prefer a DSi or iTouch.

Am waiting for the camera tripod now. Really want a Kitchenaid mixer too, so fingers crossed for later in the week.

secrectsoutherncomfortdrinker Tue 20-Nov-12 15:42:49

*shoop shoop*let me have it pleassssssssseeeeeee

Baby wipes are all sold sad

Thanks for the offer, but I don't have any children yet blush I was just wondering if everyone that wanted one got one. smile

ISeeThreadPeople Tue 20-Nov-12 15:45:47

Aah bollocks, I give up. While I can only see 2 things on a page, I have no chance. Have missed everything.

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 15:45:54

Not a problem. Actually when I got to 1 minute on the clock I caved and bought it anyway grin (though I would have sent it to you if you'd wanted it).

KatoPotato Tue 20-Nov-12 15:47:11

Cue frantic texting to DH:

Me: Columbo boxset, £33 black friday...

DH: Nice one.

Me: It's on my waitlist.

<<<later>>>

Me: Okay! It's available! Should be £77... Will I get it??

DH: You have to wait 'til Friday surely?

Me: No!!! I've three minutes to check out.... yes? No?

DH: Go for it...

Whispers no, not sad, unless I am which I fear I am. I'm worrying about what I'll miss when I'm out thursday eve (Christmas light switch on- damn tradition making me go grin) and friday night we're going to the theatre to see my sisters friend in Les Mis, so can't even use phone sad. I can almost guarantee that an xbox will be on then, cos I really need to get one.

ShoopShoop Tue 20-Nov-12 15:48:04

Sorry secret - I caved and bought it sad I think DD will love it though... Hopefully more little people stuff will come up this week? Sorry....

secrectsoutherncomfortdrinker Tue 20-Nov-12 15:48:20

how do i veiw the waitlist?

I had that trouble with the wipes, ISeeThreadPeople sad
When I refresh it goes back to the beginning of the list, so I have to go and find the item again before I can get it sad

Yay Kato smile

Thanks Imp that's very kind of you smile

secrectsoutherncomfortdrinker Tue 20-Nov-12 15:50:09

sad

TurquoiseCat Tue 20-Nov-12 15:52:06

Argh! Just gone through the upcoming items and amazon seem to be selling a possessed stuffed cat?!

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 15:52:23

Now I want Dark Shadows.

Unless you've all seen it and it's shite?

Arithmeticulous Tue 20-Nov-12 15:52:24

I'm having that trouble with refreshing too - very annoying esp on my phone.

Kato grin

My text conversation with DH earlier went like this:
Me: There's a dictionary/crossword solver on amazon which is going to be reduced in half an hour, going to get it for your dad if a good price
DH: ok
<later>
Me: wasn't a good enough price so I didn't get it
DH: ok

He's a man of few words grin

I asked it earlier, but when it gets to 0 seconds, does it take ages for the 'add to basket' button take ages to come on for anyone else?

Pratting, I have to refresh and then go back and find the item again, takes ages sad Haven't tried on laptop, will have to see if that's any better...

That's why I don't bother texting DH Whispers grin even though it's his money really

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 15:56:08

I'm on laptop, when I refresh it goes back to the beginning too.

And yes, some items the "add" button takes ages. I think it's to tease us... angry

Piemistress Tue 20-Nov-12 15:56:31

takes ages for me too pratting

It does it on both my laptop and ipad angry

Yeah, I've moved onto DH's credit card, need to casually drop into conversation later that I bought 3 lots of kids books this morning blush

That car is scary confused

Cat even!

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 16:01:40

Yeah, it seems to take a while for the button to come it, but I have more successful just waiting for it rather than refreshing.

blibblibs Tue 20-Nov-12 16:02:12

28 seconds for the tv to sell out shock
Luckily i didn't want one grin

Is that on the iPad, loupee?
That tripod went really fast confused

Ooh just saw 'Cherry the cat' shock That'd scare the poor things!

Tortoise Tue 20-Nov-12 16:06:18

I got disney dance game. Was out and using terrible vodaphone signal! Nearly lost out.
Not sure there is anything else i want today.
What was the mystery item earlier? Something about example in the clue!

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 16:08:29

That's on both the iPad and the laptop, just waiting for the button to come up, although it seems like forever seems faster than refreshing. Although I did get BT infinity installer yesterday, so that is probably also helping, not that I got it to get these deals!

That's not until 5.43 Tortoise

Maybe 'Examples' album?

Allonsy Tue 20-Nov-12 16:09:26

Anyone think the starwars spectular looks good?

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 16:09:35

There was maybe only 2 tripods to start with!

Ok, will give waiting a go, I'm too impatient grin

Yeah, that's true, you do have to wonder with some of the items...

blibblibs Tue 20-Nov-12 16:11:30

I got the Star wars yesterday it went down to £20.48 it better not go lower today!

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 16:13:29

They must of had a million kindle fire covers, they only sold about 2% I was going to get one til I realised they wouldn't fit the HD want to get DH the HD one, fingers crossed for Friday.

Tortoise Tue 20-Nov-12 16:13:33

Ah i see i thought it was earlier than that.
Thanks.

Allonsy Tue 20-Nov-12 16:13:49

i seen it yesterday but wasnt sure about it, would be gift for nephew who wanted starwars lego hoping he dosnt already have the books, i take it they all come seperate

secrectsoutherncomfortdrinker Tue 20-Nov-12 16:14:45

<shakes fist and growls> mn i just missed the deal because of you thats it i'm not coming back --until later--<flicks hair and turns on my heels>

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 16:14:57

Please don't shout at me if you wait for the button and still miss the deal!

Not that I wanted it, but by the time the button appeared under 'dark shadows', 33% had already been claimed! Grrr.

blibblibs Tue 20-Nov-12 16:17:35

We already have one of the books but DH said to always buy Star wars lego if under £20 so I did grin
It looks like you would be able to seperate it and gift it to more than one person though

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 16:18:32

Gah, what's the protocol if a delivery comes, but you are hovering over the laptop for the next deal? ;)

I tried it with the latest lot of stuff, it took forever for the button to appear!

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 16:19:38

That is crap pratting when my button came up it was 0%

Allonsy Tue 20-Nov-12 16:20:04

Ive got it in my basket so just need to decide on it, the lego box is only worth about £11 elsewhere by the looks of it so the books make up the rest, just not sure if DN has the books hmm

I know sad stupid thing!

On a side note, all of my wrapping is now done grin until all the stuff from Amazon comes

Tomorrow, I shall be sat at the table with the laptop, Ipad and will be making snowman soup and sewing! I'm looking forward to it smile

There are more watches coming up, so if you want one and have a promotional email like I said before, you should get £10 off.

blibblibs Tue 20-Nov-12 16:23:28

Unlikely that he'll have all three and one is a sticker book so can't hurt to have another of those smile
Not that I'm encouraging you grin

Hmph. The promotional discount hasn't worked on the Ice watch sad probably best, I don't even need a watch.

blibblibs Tue 20-Nov-12 16:34:14

Got the watch grin
My promo code hasn't worked with either the watch or the fly boots sad

Allonsy Tue 20-Nov-12 16:35:16

just found out he does indeed have them all, a big fan lol back to the drawing board for me... lol

It didn't work on my fly boots either sad Still, we saved over £100 on 'em smile

OhCobblers Tue 20-Nov-12 16:36:59

For those trying to get a Leapster 2, do try TK maxx where they're down to £27 and were recently on their website too.

OhCobblers Tue 20-Nov-12 16:43:34

How can you view all the offers on one page? Could someone pls link? Thanks

Loupee Tue 20-Nov-12 16:47:01

I don't know how to view them all on one page, but if you can zoom out your laptop screen you can see more that way, depends how good your eyesight is! You should also be able to change the resolution settings to get the same effect.

blibblibs Tue 20-Nov-12 16:47:45
SlightlySuperiorPeasant Tue 20-Nov-12 16:49:38

I've got a Canon in my basket but I don't know whether I want it or not. Probably not.

OhCobblers Tue 20-Nov-12 16:50:43

Thanks.
Do they email the following days deals or is it a case of watching the website?

Piemistress Tue 20-Nov-12 16:52:03

They were up on the site when I was feeding DD at 1am smile

blibblibs Tue 20-Nov-12 16:52:23

They go on at 8am tomorrow morning.
Thankfully I'll already be at work because I've spent enough these last two days grin

I've bought the women's crocs blush Only to wear around Disney though as last time my feet killed me and on a Disney forum I use, everyone says to wear crocs. I'm gonna look so cool.

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 17:13:21

I have things to do that require me to be out of the house - I need to plan my day grin Hopefully there won't be much I fancy tomorrow

I put those in my basket, pratting, but didn't get them in the end. They do look comfy smile

I hope they are. I need them to be, because when I just wore trainers/other shoes before, having walked for miles and hours a day for 2 weeks. I felt like I was walking on fire everyday...

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 17:34:42

I have the Lola Rose 23cm bracelet in my basket... does anyone know if it is adjustable??

silverfrog Tue 20-Nov-12 17:36:16

it says adjustable in the blurb, Soup.

am umming and ahhing over it myself.

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 17:37:14

Blu sandstone is what I have but 23cm , if that is the circumference, will slip off my hand.

Meh, it's only £11...

I can't see the bracelet confused what time is it at?

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 17:38:06

It will be a present for someone if it doesn't fit smile

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 17:38:15

4:15

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 17:38:54

I was bemoaning my lovely boots to DH. You know what he said?

'Just as well. They probably wouldn't have fit your fat old clowns feet.'

Git.

Ah yep, I see it now thanks smile

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 17:39:50

Leave the bastard! grin

I think this is me done for the day. My last item was the electric toothbrush at 5:30.

WildThong Tue 20-Nov-12 17:42:13

i think I am addicted!

What is something else gets put on when I'm not looking, it might be something I really want need

WildThong Tue 20-Nov-12 17:43:34

if

There's loads coming up soon! Gah.

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 17:51:26

Wild. You can't take the risk. You need to keep a close eye at all times.

minsmum Tue 20-Nov-12 17:53:33

Do I need prue leiths cookery bible?

Piemistress Tue 20-Nov-12 17:54:09

darn lots i'm after at 6pm, right at tea time! The fish fingers will have to wait smile

secrectsoutherncomfortdrinker Tue 20-Nov-12 17:54:21

can you see the next days deals?

WildThong Tue 20-Nov-12 17:55:16

Taggie.

I got the Fly boots, dumbells and a really nice watch for DH so far.

Just hope the boots fit, never had Fly before

MegBusset Tue 20-Nov-12 17:58:53

I'm waiting to see how much the chopping boards go for...

MegBusset Tue 20-Nov-12 18:01:56

Argh wasn't signed in, in the ten seconds or so it took me to sign in, they were all gone angry

WildThong Tue 20-Nov-12 18:02:47

who knew cookie cutters would be so popular

MegBusset Tue 20-Nov-12 18:03:41

Does anyone know how the waitlist works?

WildThong Tue 20-Nov-12 18:04:54

have the pots and the paella pan in my basket - don't really need pots tbh

ah well

minsmum Tue 20-Nov-12 18:06:29

Well I'm not sure if I wanted it but I bought it anyway

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 18:06:43

Got the paella pan for DD1 grin

I can't work out the self cleaning litter tray. It looks very complicated. And surely it would still need bleaching confused

AnnaBegins Tue 20-Nov-12 18:06:48

Got the River Cottage book smile

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 18:06:52

Meg, you need to watch your screen as a pop up box will appear if you reach the top of the wait list. You'l have a short time to add it to your basket.

WildThong Tue 20-Nov-12 18:09:05

Meg

I think if people like me put things in their basket but don't complete the purchase within the time limit, the waitlist people get notified in order that it is available again

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 18:10:09

OMG - I put myself on the Little People waitlist, and after it regularly flashing "this deal has sold out" it just offered it to me!

Yay!

Tortoise Tue 20-Nov-12 18:11:41

The next days deals show from around midnight. I looked last night for todays but a few extras were added by this morning.

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 18:12:01

Do I want a pet drinking fountain...?

I don't think I needed that many cookbooks blush

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 18:13:09

I've decided I dislike Gordon too much to buy his books. I got Hugh though not put off even though I now know he's a weirdo wanking man

So is it worth getting over Gordon's personality for his recipes?

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 18:14:03

Wish it was Leith's Baking Bible. I hear it's great.

Gordon was the only one I didn't get, I just can't bear him.

sieglinde Tue 20-Nov-12 18:20:22

Gordon's recipes are crap, tbh, as crap as he is. i have four of his books, all review copies. Trust me.

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 18:20:43

I can't believe how often I've been offered something despite being 3 millionth on the waiting list. Fingers crossed for the Good Food collection.

MegBusset Tue 20-Nov-12 18:23:28

So I'll find out when the deal ends, ie at 8pm?

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 18:25:14

Thanks sieglinde I'll leave well alone then!

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 18:28:24

Meg - no, you find out as and when it becomes available. So however long it takes for all the people ahead of you to decide not to buy it.

Got the Good Food collection too! Thats me done for today smile

OhCobblers Tue 20-Nov-12 18:34:16

If it says that 100% of the Joseph boards are claimed does that mean the deal has sold out?

SweetMingePie Tue 20-Nov-12 18:34:58

I was wanting the spongebob drum kit, but was too high for what I wanted to pay.

Looking for the pram at 19:45 for my neice and that's it for me today.

The Melissa and Douglas set I bought last night got delivered this korning shock

SweetMingePie Tue 20-Nov-12 18:35:12

Morning even...

OhCobblers Tue 20-Nov-12 18:42:06

Hurrah just got the Joseph Joseph set for £21 having been on the wait list!

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 18:44:27

Apart from waiting to see if I get the Good Food books I think I'm now done for the day shock except maybe for an umbrella

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 18:46:14

Oh, and I'm on the JJ chopping boards list, but 500+, so that seems unlikely.

Hugh is a weirdo wanking man?!confused
I'll be looking at the pram at 7.45 but really don't need it, so probably won't get it unless it's on for ridiculous money.

Tortoise Tue 20-Nov-12 19:01:40

Has anyone got the dog water fountain?
Is it noisy and how big is it? The reviews vary so much its hard to tell!

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 19:03:52

WoW - yes, there was a really surreal thread about weird things about celebs or some such, and allegedly visitors to his place have woken up and found him wanking over them shock grin Although I read about it when someone referenced it on another thread altogether.

MegBusset Tue 20-Nov-12 19:18:57

No chopping boards for me (yet!)

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 19:20:15

Nor me.

But I got the Good Food books! smile

I had the chopping boards in my basket but couldn't justify them as I already have 5...

I'm waiting to see how much the food processor goes for.

secrectsoutherncomfortdrinker Tue 20-Nov-12 19:23:01

Can't see on the tcs can you only buy one of each item?

MegBusset Tue 20-Nov-12 19:23:07

Prattling I'd have had them!!

Yep.

Sorry, I put them straight back as soon as they went in sad

derekthehamster Tue 20-Nov-12 19:24:08

Help!! not done this before, is it best to have the item all ready and then click add to basket, or do I have to go from the deals page?

Tortoise Tue 20-Nov-12 19:25:28

derek you have to go through the deals page

derekthehamster Tue 20-Nov-12 19:25:58

D'oh Just seen that when they are on offer, the add to basket button is on the deals page

SlightlySuperiorPeasant Tue 20-Nov-12 19:37:07

I had the chopping boards in my basket but the deal wasn't that amazing so I put them back. Amazon Recommendations had some look-a-like round ones for £12.99 earlier so will look at those instead.

So my purchases so far are:

- Bath bomb set: Christmas present for SIL2
- Nursery rhyme book set: Christmas present for DD
- LoveFilm subscription: Christmas present for me DH

SlightlySuperiorPeasant Tue 20-Nov-12 19:37:18

No kayak sad

Arithmeticulous Tue 20-Nov-12 19:47:45

Is this cat worth £30?

Blimey, that freaky cat is going like hot cakes confused

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 19:49:14

Bloody hell, the cat's sold out!

secrectsoutherncomfortdrinker Tue 20-Nov-12 19:49:28

octonauts scooter yay or nay for a two year old

Definitely nothing more for me today, the pram wasn't reduced enough to justify getting it when we don't need it. See you all tomorrow grin

BrianAndHisBalls Tue 20-Nov-12 19:53:39

think the cat is cheaper on argos... it was last week anyway. apparently it doesnt 'do' much, the walking ones are better play value.

milk Tue 20-Nov-12 19:55:25

Tefal Vita Mix Compact food Processor at 8:15 PM was £50.20 on Aug 15, 2012.

Aspiemum2 Tue 20-Nov-12 19:58:27

I think that was the lulu cat at argos, nearly bought by mistake until I checked my list. Cheapest I've seen Cherry so far so reluctantly bought - dd has her heart set on it although quite sure it will join all the other cuddly's in the pile by January!

whatkungfuthat Tue 20-Nov-12 20:00:26

I am so late to these threads. Bought the Prometheus/Aliens boxset today and a couple of things yesterday. I was interested in the Sex Pistols box but it was still too expensive. Hoping to get the latest Batman if they have it on later in the week.

MegBusset Tue 20-Nov-12 20:02:18

Actually Argos have some v similar chopping boards for £14.99 so I don't feel too hard done by!

derekthehamster Tue 20-Nov-12 20:04:24

I bought the sandisc mp3 player. Xmas present for my 10 year old, reduced to £22.99

whatkungfuthat Tue 20-Nov-12 20:06:54

I looked at the MP3 player, should have got it. <kicks self>

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 20:13:18

secret - I'm thinking about the scooter for my 2 yr old too.

That's it for me folks! 'See' you tomorrow, bright and early grin Fingers crossed for some unbelievably good deals! grin

neddle Tue 20-Nov-12 20:20:53

ImpYCelyn

You can get preowned Wii remotes very cheaply from GameStation. The people who work there are very helpful and knowledgable.

ImpYCelyn Tue 20-Nov-12 20:30:04

Thanks neddle! I'll try to find my nearest smile

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday Tue 20-Nov-12 20:39:29

I'm done for the day.

Same time tomorrow?

Can we have a day 3 thread for phones that hate long threafs please.

Moodykat Tue 20-Nov-12 20:41:27

I got the food processor. Am very happy as I needed one badly!

Piemistress Tue 20-Nov-12 21:15:24

Can't wait! smile My Melissa & Doug stuff arrived today!

Tortoise Wed 21-Nov-12 00:12:25

8.44am tomorrow 'Stay warm this winter and save on your heating bill!'
Bet its a little heater of some sort which is just what i need but will be on school run and no signal on phone in town sad.
Also one direction book around 9.30, i will be back in time for that one for dd! grin

spookysal Wed 21-Nov-12 00:38:34

I bet it's a slanket! (or whatever they are called)

Piemistress Wed 21-Nov-12 05:57:02

Oooo scrubs Box set!

I woke up at about 5 and was to excited to go back to sleep hmm I was thinking about if there was an iPhone that came up, how I could make the button appear faster confused it's taking over my life grin

Loupee Wed 21-Nov-12 06:16:33

Been up for a while with the baby. Had a look, don't think there is too much I'm interested in today, which is good as going by my emails I will spend most of the day answering the door to delivery people. Went a bit mad yesterday!

I've started a new thread so it's easier for those that are on phones to see, here

grin Loupee

Tortoise Wed 21-Nov-12 07:19:58

Oh yes, it probably is a slanket. I don't want one of those!

I have a slanket blush It is amazing grin

See you all over on the other thread smile
