The last one is reaching thread capacity shock so am starting off round 2 on sharing great bargains you have all found. Last thread has been fabulous so please keep the ideas coming.

Thanks btw to whoever linked to the Dr Seuss/hunger games/free angelina books - they arrived today and are fabulous thanks

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey Tue 02-Oct-12 18:29:46

PinkChampagneandStrawberries Tue 02-Oct-12 18:32:59

Oh I missed the 1st one will watch this one with interest thanks

BlameItOnTheCuervo Tue 02-Oct-12 18:35:06

does anyone have a free delivery code for the book people or redhouse, please?

BikeRunSki Tue 02-Oct-12 18:35:11

Got DS a Kidizoom camera on Amazon last week, reduced from £50 to £32, current model. If you join Amazon family, then you get Amazon Prime free for 3 months.

WineGless Tue 02-Oct-12 18:45:18

Book people have 10% off until tomorrow night with SPARKLE not sure re free delivery though sorry

Maraki Tue 02-Oct-12 18:47:07

I wanted to thank whoever posted about the Wallis jewellry sale. Stuff came today and it is beautiful. I've ordered some more today!

Amazon has some brilliant cookbooks reduced to about a tenner (laurene pascalle, gordon ramsey ultimate, nigellisima, jamie olivers 15 mins).

Thank you everyone, most of my Christmas shopping is now done and most importantly without last minute panic and WITHIN BUDGET. Thank you!

TheAngelshavetheOod Tue 02-Oct-12 18:50:03

Marking place.

3duracellbunnies Tue 02-Oct-12 19:02:02

Marking place but must stop ordering so much, just have a late teenager and some friends to buy for, plus some bits for ds. Beyond that I think it is stocking fillers, unless the dd discover some wants and bump my purchases onto their birthday pile!

BeaWheesht Tue 02-Oct-12 19:02:25

Thanks for starting this.

Teaco have big boxes of plasticine for £5

They also had some batman stuff - mostly costumes

Asda have their Halloween stuff in - got the kids some fancy glasses (think dame Edna) for a quid each - an acquired taste I know but my kids love any tat thing like that.

Just marking my place ladies smile

Marking place grin

Can't remember who asked about Lego (sorry) but if you're going to order direct from Lego themselves it is worth signing up to their VIP scheme, as you can get points to redeem against future purchases, and they really stack up.

Rollersara Tue 02-Oct-12 19:12:17

Do we have a link to the old thread <lazy> grin

Rollersara Tue 02-Oct-12 19:14:12
pigleychez Tue 02-Oct-12 19:14:18

mimsy That would be me.smile

Thanks for that tip. DD1 is just getting into proper lego so i'll look into it.

WineGless Tue 02-Oct-12 19:20:39

Check amazon out for Lego- which sort do you want? O

BlameItOnTheCuervo Tue 02-Oct-12 19:30:50

Thank you winegless!

iloveholidays Tue 02-Oct-12 19:32:58
silver28 Tue 02-Oct-12 19:42:09

Piglychez, I have bought lego cheap from amazon - I tend to decide what I'd like, add it to my wishlist then keep an eye on this list as prices fluctuate a lot. Star Wars ewok lego was reduced from £25 to £12.50 and seems to vary daily.

RonettePulaski Tue 02-Oct-12 19:44:09

Can someone who isn't as lazy as me, or who remembers tell me what the dr Seuss thingy is. We love dr Seuss but don't own any

Marking place got some fab bargains

LaTrucha Tue 02-Oct-12 19:55:09

I want to know about the free Angelina books! And Dr Suess...

pigleychez Tue 02-Oct-12 19:57:32

Its the Girly lego she wants. I was thinking of the Stables.

Ill check out Amazon. Thanks smile

MooseyMoo Tue 02-Oct-12 20:00:01

reastie that was me! I haven't received mine yet so very pleased you're happy with them.

Thanks for starting second thread

MooseyMoo Tue 02-Oct-12 20:08:23

Aspiemum2 Tue 02-Oct-12 20:10:33

Marking place, any moxie bargains?

3duracellbunnies Tue 02-Oct-12 20:11:20

Have a look on brick badger for lego deals. My DDs have found that you don't too many bricks for your money on the friends stuff, but they do like the minifigures, wish they did Friends minifigure packets.

MooseyMoo Tue 02-Oct-12 20:12:54

There are x12 dr Seuss books for £14.99 on Book People

thisthreadwilloutme Tue 02-Oct-12 20:19:44

Not totally online but argos has the Playmobil school building half price at 59.99. You can reserve it online and pick up instore.

The playmobil pyramid is also half price at 29.99.

I've just picked up the school and it looks fantastic!

rhondajean Tue 02-Oct-12 20:22:18

Just checking into this thread, sorry no bargains today but I'll update as I find them.

Gumby Tue 02-Oct-12 20:25:38

Angelina Ballerina no longer free - says code has been used maximum number of times

be careful with that Banzo website

at 4.99 postage could pick up those cheaper on free delivery on amazon

pigleychez Tue 02-Oct-12 20:26:57

Personalised fairy castle from studio

pigleychez Tue 02-Oct-12 20:28:10

ignore that one... now out of stock sad

foosty Tue 02-Oct-12 20:32:42

Maraki that was me with the Wallis jewellery - mine arrived today too! But a bracelet in it was snapped angry - and for £3 is it worth sending back? Anyway, the other things were lovely and now I can't see myself giving them away as I want them for me! <greedy>

Off to have another look at it - had an idea that some of the necklaces would make nice teacher gifts.

rhondajean Tue 02-Oct-12 20:34:06

There's just been an Argos advert on tv advertising a third off selected toys including my little pony - off for a nosy.

eandh Tue 02-Oct-12 20:39:33

Marking place yet to find any offers to share!

MooseyMoo Tue 02-Oct-12 20:42:10

gumby yes, the postage is steep. Think it was a one off find for the dr Seuss books at 3p, a free mini library and a trilogy for 99p.

WineGless Tue 02-Oct-12 20:46:12

Pigley how about Playmobil pony stables amazon reduced as are the dressage stables?

oreocrumbs Tue 02-Oct-12 20:56:18

Children in need t shirt by Frost french £3.15 delivered - Debenhams.

Use codes GM97 and SHD1

the first code gives 10% off the second free del.

There are lots of lovely t shirts by different designers, most around thge £7 mark I like the ted baker bunny, but the one I linked is the cheapest. The codes work on all of them.

oreocrumbs Tue 02-Oct-12 21:31:23

Argos are doing a double up on the vouchers next week. So you will get a £10 voucher on a £50 spend and a £20 voucher on a £100 spend!

So hang fire untill next week if you are spending some money in there.

Aspiemum2 Tue 02-Oct-12 21:52:19

Good to know about Argos, combined with 3 for 2 it's a good deal. Word of warning though is that some toys have been price hiked so are still cheaper elsewhere despite being 3 for 2

PersuedByPenguins Tue 02-Oct-12 21:59:25

foosty- good idea re teachers! How are they packaged when you receive them? Would you need to get gift boxes?

Dont know if this has already been said, but I ordered an Innotab from Boots, £20 off online, so it cost me £60 instead of £80. Also if you use your mobile phone to order, you get £5 off £50 and free delivery.

rhondajean Tue 02-Oct-12 22:28:59

Argos 3 for 2 on toys finished today. The third off looks to be a replacement on some of them. The £10 voucher is a great tip though thanks, I've been looking for a kindle for MiL and the ten pound voucher can go on dd1s mini fridge!

aristocat Tue 02-Oct-12 22:31:43

Nothing online yet but I did get a couple of annuals today from Home Bargains, they were £2.99 each. Lots to choose from, I got BuildABear and Shoot but there were others.

mercibucket Tue 02-Oct-12 22:44:11

Penguins, the Wallis stuff comes on a little card saying Wallis, like if you picked it up in store. Then a plastic wrap round that. So I think a gift box would be good. But what if the teachers read this thread and know I spent only £3 on the gift? blush

MistressIggi Wed 03-Oct-12 09:43:02

No minimum spend on Past Times when I tried it.

iloveholidays Wed 03-Oct-12 09:44:32

I think for all the money this thread has saved me, it has cost me just as much on bargains for me!

Molton brown bought, with no one to give it to.... apart from me!

Am tempted by the scarf for SIL but not sure if it is her thing. Hmm I shall ponder it.

Brilliant thread!

Thanks Moosey Have just bought my first xmas present. MB gift set for the inlaws grin

JaquelineHyde Wed 03-Oct-12 20:13:03

Ooooooh I love the Boots big set offers!

MistressIggi Wed 03-Oct-12 20:18:43

The Molton Brown offer (if they let you do this) is cheaper if you buy everything in different orders - as it is ten pounds off, rather than a percentage of your order.

Gumby Wed 03-Oct-12 20:25:12

Argos dolls out of stock for delivery sad

HappyAsEyeAm Wed 03-Oct-12 20:29:08

My local Boots store has its £10 worth fo fpoints free (on top of the usual points) for every £50 spend next Thursday.

oreocrumbs Wed 03-Oct-12 20:37:09

MummysHappyPills Wed 03-Oct-12 20:40:59

I just bought molten brown tinted lip balm, usually £11 for 5.95 delivered in gift box with free sample! Now trying to decide whether to give it to my friend for her birthday or keep it for myself!

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey Wed 03-Oct-12 20:42:12

They're scarves, I think stole sounds posher but not sure what the different is!

double you can pay with paypal at Boots, thetoyshop.com, toysrus, Argos, zavvi and now molton brown!!

MistressIggi Wed 03-Oct-12 20:47:54

Thanks Hokey, think I'll order one for a friend and one for me
Have just made two Molton Brown orders to get the tenner off each time. Seems to have worked.
Might have a look at past times for the MIL now.

MistressIggi Wed 03-Oct-12 20:49:04

Hokey, sorry to be a pain, but does it say Orla Kiely anywhere on scarf or packaging?

MummysHappyPills Wed 03-Oct-12 20:55:14

Oh don't tell me that about Molten Brown! I'll end up spending a fortune! grin

reastie Wed 03-Oct-12 20:56:54

Really disappointed - ordered 3 O Keily scarves and my payment was declined (nothing wrong with my card) and now when I try and redo it the colours/designs I chose have gone missing. V miffed [sigh] .

whoneedstosleep Wed 03-Oct-12 21:01:17

Ive just done the same mistress , I ordered a hand cream using my email then went back on and ordered a lipbalm using DH's. Means paying postage twice but still works out cheaper.

LauraPashley Wed 03-Oct-12 21:20:19

Not strictly onlIne but thought you ladies would know...anyone heard of a date for the sainsburys 1/2 price toy sale? Normally mid oct I think?

rhondajean Wed 03-Oct-12 21:22:43

Been keeping my eyes peeled like mad Laura but nothing yet.

It started on a Thursday last year, during English half term, so my money is on Thursday 25th but that's just a guess.

WineGless Wed 03-Oct-12 21:26:18

Reastie, I'm having problems with uniqlo site too

Maybe more for yourselves than presents but Amazon currently have the mums family planner and mums family calendar for £5.50 each.

Real bargain and much jollier than the organised mum ones - similar but with colours and cartoons and loads of very sweet cartoon animal stickers (can you tell I'm a convert - have had the calendar the last three years and love it! used organised mum ones previously but found them a bit drab and also difficult to see dates on, these are nice and big and clear). I have next year's already on order, should be arriving any day now...

fuzzpig Wed 03-Oct-12 21:44:31

aww bit disappointed with past times, there were hardly any tree decorations on there. sad

I have a hobbycraft voucher from my local paper, got to try and get there but it is a bit out of the way.

Now browsing bookpeople site... This could get pricey.

LaTrucha Wed 03-Oct-12 21:47:16

piggly - were you able to use a code with that tractor? My son would love it.

NorbertDentressangle Wed 03-Oct-12 21:50:45

The Orla Kiely scarves are lovely - I ordered one for me and got it last week.

MistressIggi - They have an 'Orla Kiely' label on the scarf (sewn into the hem IYSWIM) and they also come on a small hanger with a sticker on and with a small cardboard tag (both with the Orla Kiely name/logo on)

Definitely worth the money IMO!

LaTrucha Wed 03-Oct-12 21:58:25

If anyone sees the Baby Annabell carseat / jogger thing on offer can you post pretty please?

MistressIggi Wed 03-Oct-12 21:58:46

THanks Norbert, that's great - have ordered two smile

pigleychez Wed 03-Oct-12 21:59:22

LaTrucha - Sadly not because it was already reduced.

It looks great though and the lights flash and the horn beeps. Looks well built too and life like to the real John deere Tractors. I'll warn you though, its pretty big!

LaTrucha Wed 03-Oct-12 22:02:32

DS will ride it! I bought him a tonka truck and he rides that.

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey Wed 03-Oct-12 22:09:34

iggy Norbert beat me to it! Mine came on the hangers too.

Allice Wed 03-Oct-12 22:13:07

It has always started during half term in the past.

rhondajean Wed 03-Oct-12 23:20:34

Bugger I was after a few things from sainsburys - Moshi monsters, some monster high dolls and my little pony princess cadence if anyone seems them on special...

fuzzpig Wed 03-Oct-12 23:21:05

just spent over an hour on the book people, bloody hell that was exhausting! I'm not usually up this late blush

spend £41 - got 4 books for DSD (it was so hard to narrow it down, I wanted to buy about 10!), 5 colouring/activity books for DD, some crafty things for DH to do with DD (paper planes and robots!), and a set of 30 kids birthday cards to save time/effort/cash for all the damn school parties.

also got a free RHS diary, they are really lovely - I gave one to my nan a couple of years back but in the interest of not repeating a gift I think I have to keep it for myself yes?

3duracellbunnies Wed 03-Oct-12 23:26:53

I reckon sburys will have a bumper new year sale then, their toys are usually so expensive I only buy them on offer.

everydayaschoolday Wed 03-Oct-12 23:30:39

thanks Moosey. Have ordered Molton Brown too using the coupon. I choose the same handcream as you, as I think lovely MIL will love it, and will sit nicely in her christmas 'beauty' hamper. Smashing bargain with free sampler and free gift box thrown in smile

fuzzpig Wed 03-Oct-12 23:41:43

I reckon I'll give that molton brown a go tomorrow - not tried any myself but it seems like the kind of thing my mum will like smile

Whyriskit Thu 04-Oct-12 08:16:23

Thanks for the past times code, that's MIL sorted! Will have a look at molton brown when i get back from school run.

reastie Thu 04-Oct-12 08:26:28

<holds down hands to stop myself from buying more stuff from molton brown>

whoneedstosleep Thu 04-Oct-12 08:32:54

jimswifein1964 Thu 04-Oct-12 08:57:18

Goosebumps Horrorland series in Poundland at the moment.

FitByForty Thu 04-Oct-12 09:13:45

Maranello Thu 04-Oct-12 09:19:33

Lego city fire truck back down to £8.07 (from £17.99) again this morning - have ordered one now as this price seems to leap around a LOT!

LaTrucha Thu 04-Oct-12 09:24:36

On Amazon?

Maranello Thu 04-Oct-12 09:30:21

Um, Amazon, yes, that would have been helpful to add, wouldn't it? blush
Thank you!

Aspiemum2 Thu 04-Oct-12 09:33:34

The lego millenium falcon is down to £107.70 today on amazon - still a lot of money though. Anybody seen it cheaper?

mynameis Thu 04-Oct-12 09:40:38

Remarking place. Off to check out the Jessops clubcard offer and Lego fire truck on Amazon

Love this thread grin

FreddoBaggyMac Thu 04-Oct-12 09:52:53

Thanks Maranello - have just ordered a lego fire truck for DS!

fuzzpig Thu 04-Oct-12 09:54:30

FBF is there a code for that ELC offer or is it automatic?

FitByForty Thu 04-Oct-12 10:42:34

Fuzzpig - it's automatic, no fiddle codes to remember smile

Automatically defaults to free delivery too.

FitByForty Thu 04-Oct-12 10:43:09

Bloody autocorrect - fiddly not fiddle!

Nervousfirsttimer Thu 04-Oct-12 10:44:48

Anyone tried using the Milton brown code for more than one order? Does it work if you place multiple orders using same contact info?

fuzzpig Thu 04-Oct-12 10:45:43

Sweeeeeet grin

Will have a look in the next few days, thanks for telling us x

lynniep Thu 04-Oct-12 10:52:07

I havent checked the whole thread so I don't know if anyone has mentioned that Tesco have started their toy sale and I noted that Bluebell Cottage (Sylvanian families) is half price at £20. (amongst other things) I don't have girls, and I already got my niece one last year so no use to me, but they are very cute. I don't think they have them online at the mo, just in store.

MegBusset Thu 04-Oct-12 10:54:29

Thanks for the Molton Brown code, have got three lots of lovely shower/bath stuff smile

bleedingheart Thu 04-Oct-12 10:54:50

Thanks for the Lego fire truck tip off!

fuzzpig Thu 04-Oct-12 11:11:01

Sorry if repeating others but leap pad explorer thingy is £40 on ELC at the moment - currently out of stock but might be worth keeping an eye out if anyone's interested

sybilvimes Thu 04-Oct-12 11:16:08

Someone was asking about monster high dolls earlier, there are a few in the boots three for two offer, I got some for dd.

Also, I saw the millennium falcon on amazon at £107 and have checked there is no where cheaper, I think it probably is the best price you will get as the larger Lego toys don't tend to drop much in price.

skyebluesapphire Thu 04-Oct-12 11:44:47

Gumby - thanks for the Bangzo Enid Blyton tip - Just ordered mine, got the free Angelina Ballerina books too, plus The Hunger Games trilogy for 99p......

I could pay with Paypal as well, so even better as could use Ebay money :-))

ShoopShoop Thu 04-Oct-12 12:06:53

charlottehere Thu 04-Oct-12 13:54:48

Great thread. smile

So far I have got DD2 a scooter from jojo, molton brown for MIL - Thanks to posters who gave these tips. smile

gumby Thanks, just ordered the EB books, some pony books and free book set - all 3 DDs covered!

pigleychez Thu 04-Oct-12 14:03:34

Arrgghh how typical of ELC to have 20% just after my Nephews birthday present was delivered yesterday!

happierhigherstrongerwheezing Thu 04-Oct-12 14:23:03

I have three separate orders for Molton brown, it was still cheaper than ordering all together.

Goldpippin Thu 04-Oct-12 14:32:40

The Elc wooden dolls house is reduced to £80 and then another 20% off so just £64, looks quite a nice one.

Zeeky Thu 04-Oct-12 14:37:28

Just ordered a few presents from ELC wink. Thanks guys!

fuzzpig Thu 04-Oct-12 14:37:49

Oh goodness could so easily spend at least £100 on ELC... I will have to speak to DH! Might take the opportunity to get a few birthday presents as there are so many parties at school.

DH came back from town with stuff from Disney, some for the DCs but also some for me, really looking forward to my stocking now <big kid emoticon> grin

fuzzpig Thu 04-Oct-12 14:38:10

Ooh what did you get?

MooseyMoo Thu 04-Oct-12 14:39:59

For Joules fans...

Spend over £20 to get £10 off. Code is BBHE20. There's super saver delivery now for £1 too

www.joules.com/

Badvoc Thu 04-Oct-12 14:56:04

Just seen the new book people brochure...
Some great sets of books...astrosaurs and the booker prize novel set.
Beast quest.
Also some lovey Xmas decoration books.
Free del if over £25 and free gift over £40.

TheAngelshavetheOod Thu 04-Oct-12 15:11:01

Was just going to post re latest book people offers

The Playmobil farm set is half price in House of Fraser.

PersuedByPenguins Thu 04-Oct-12 16:11:53

Mothercare has an error on their website which means that the ELC pink wooden kitchen is still showing as £30 off so they are having to honour that price plus the extra 20% off at the mo, makes the kitchen £96 (usually £150 and its back to full price on ELC site- Mothercare offer free delivery to store too!)

You'll have to be quick to catch it!

PersuedByPenguins Thu 04-Oct-12 16:12:38

Oh and if going direct to ELC they offer price match wink

If anyone is buying for a baby Tesco have the Vtech Baby Dance Sit to Stand for £20. I can't see it on the website and it says special purchase in store so it might be one of the 'when its gone its gone' deals. Buy It Now price on ebay is £37.99, suitable from 9-36 months.
Very Happy, had the £45 Fisher Price one on the xmas list for ds smile

Ooh it is on the website but listed under birthday gift, boys, 3 year old confused

MooseyMoo Thu 04-Oct-12 16:31:33

thewhistler I bought this for my DS's first bday. Possible gift for your youngest godchild?

reastie Thu 04-Oct-12 16:37:38

Yes yes to squeaky eggs - DD loves them!

Thanks for Joules code - am trying to resist!

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey Thu 04-Oct-12 16:42:53

I am trying to use it, along with the rest of the world i think, their website has ground to halt.

It's dd1's favourite shop so thought i'd her a little something..

reastie Thu 04-Oct-12 16:46:14

Yeah - I asked them (joules) via their fb page when their site would be sorted and they just told me to ring up to make an order - so how am I suppose to peruse and see what I want then?! Had a nose earlier but struggling for things that are spot on £20 (or just a teeny bit over) they must do that on purpose and don't want to end out spending alot more than I need IYKWIM.

MooseyMoo Thu 04-Oct-12 16:53:12

reastie how old is your daughter? I was looking at some stuff in the Joules outlet section and there was a dress for £19 but from Age6 onwards the price changes to £21.

StopBreakingMyStuff Thu 04-Oct-12 16:56:00

Bump

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey Thu 04-Oct-12 17:11:38

The site is better now but everything is 19.95 or the next lever is the 25.00 mark and i don't want to spend much as these are just extras.

Might just not bother, they do some lovely toiletries in Boots, have already brought some for dd i wish they would put them on their website as i would buy more, i might ask them on fb.

NeatFreak Thu 04-Oct-12 17:29:12

Loving this thread, thanks!
Both my dc would like furbys- they cost £59 each, has anyone seen them on offer or with new customer discounts etc anywhere? Argos has them but don't seem to be doing their offer where you get vouchers for every £50 you spend...

Marking grin

Fairyjen Thu 04-Oct-12 17:37:22

Excellent thread ladies!

Nothing specific but if you go on eBay home page and click on deals there is loads of stuff on their! Not just for kids either, house did get my dd peppa pig world playset (6 houses! And figures!) for £19.99 should have been £60!!!

It's well worth a look and does daily deals which change good ideas for dh on this bit!

PuffPants Thu 04-Oct-12 17:42:54

Marking place - will be sure to post anything I find!

steben Thu 04-Oct-12 17:46:35

The sylvanian bluebell cottage was out if stock but have just got e mail to say it is back in grin

PuffPants Thu 04-Oct-12 17:56:04

Be careful with ELC, unless you're buying their own-brand, they are expensive.

fuzzpig Thu 04-Oct-12 17:57:53

Yes definitely if you are getting a non-ELC brand it's worth checking other stores for prices. For example I'm thinking of getting a few Melissa and Doug things for birthday party presents - some are cheaper on amazon but some are not!

thisthreadwilloutme Thu 04-Oct-12 18:13:42

I got a Furby free on the argos 3 for 2 so I imagine they will be included in the voucher offer.

TheAngelshavetheOod Thu 04-Oct-12 18:49:32

Fairy Jen , got a link for the peppa pig thing?

skyebluesapphire Thu 04-Oct-12 18:53:35

ARMANI sorry only just got back to the thread. The free books was a choice of Disney Princess or Angelina and the code was FREE5 I think...

MooseyMoo Thu 04-Oct-12 19:02:28

My bro has asked for some DVD boxsets and wanted to get something to go with it...

Found this popcorn holder - warning, this site has lots of gorgeous stuff!!

reastie Thu 04-Oct-12 20:11:01

moosey she's only 19 months don't think I can get away with her wearing 6 years wink

Btw further to my uniqlo email yesterday saying my payment had been declined for the Orla Kiely scarves (despite card being OK) they apparently now have been shipped hmm so maybe I do get them after all grin

SayHelloToMyLittleFriend Thu 04-Oct-12 20:19:14

I've just saw on hotukdeals that amazon have the Harry Potter complete 8 film collection on Blu-ray for £28.00. Sounds like a good deal smile

Maranello Thu 04-Oct-12 20:49:03

Don't suppose anyone has a free delivery code for dotcomgiftshop? Seen a couple of nice things I'd like, but put off by the £3.95 delivery charge.

You wonderful MNer's - what a great thread.

Have written some Christmas cards earlier so thought would have a look for a thread with gift ideas and here you all are.

Have just bought SIL the Molten Brown handcream and debating whether to go back online and get one for my mum, other SIL and MIL as well....mmm, decisions, decisions.... Ta Moosey for the tip off! grin

I'll post any more money off/bargains I see

everydayaschoolday Thu 04-Oct-12 21:34:55

Naughty, Naughty MooseyMoo for introducing me to dotcomgiftshop grin. I got the super popcorn holders for christmas eve hamper for popcorn and DVD christmas eve, and they had really cute pens (colourful japanese cartoon style) down to 50p - got these as stocking fillers, as well as (among other things) handwarmer reduced to £1 each, cute cupcake trinket ceramic reduced to £1, rainbow lightbulb (?! for teenager's room grin) reduced to 99p.

rhondajean Thu 04-Oct-12 21:38:53

Bought my frien daughter the hunger games trilogy, dd1 five magpie stiefvater books, two hardback Enid blytons for dd2 and the free princess/angelina set for her stocking, don't know which they will send it didn't give me a choice! But Thr whole lot was £11.98 including postage.

Am saving Thr molton brown till after pay day for money off the traveller set for DH and possible a small something for me

rhondajean Thu 04-Oct-12 21:53:50

And a pair of fab flip top fingerless gloves/mittens for dd1 from the joules site, along with a lovely little hare pin, for £11 plus £1 p and p and the pin will go in with dmils present.

Pastabee Thu 04-Oct-12 22:03:37

oreocrumbs posted Debenhams codes up thread. GM97 for 10% off everything including sale and SHD1 for free delivery even if you don't spend £30.

Posted Tuesday and still working last night. Happy shopping and thanks for oreocrumbs.

Gormella Fri 05-Oct-12 06:28:51

Marking!

I noticed yesterday that ELC have 20% off a lot of their range and 2 for £15 on some Happyland stuff too. Disneystore online and shops has 50% a lot of stuff. wouldn't usually shop in there as prices are ridiculous but there were some good half price bargains.

smile

TheAngelshavetheOod Fri 05-Oct-12 07:17:36

If you have Amazon family ( got it free for 3 months from the last thread!) there's £5 off £10 children's books and 25% clothing and loads of offers in the latest email so don't delete it !

IveNoIntentionOfMakingCupcakes Fri 05-Oct-12 07:30:25

Marking. Spent most of last night awake feeding DC2 and this thread got me through! Gonna be hitting the interweb today for muchos bargains. Thanks all.

fuzzpig Fri 05-Oct-12 07:37:05

Oblomov Fri 05-Oct-12 07:47:35

Marking. Have missed all the offers I wanted sad

3duracellbunnies Fri 05-Oct-12 07:53:01

GM97 didn't work for me on a Debenhams sale item sad

oreocrumbs Fri 05-Oct-12 09:11:12

Have just double checked for you an GM97 is still active on sale items. It might be worth another try?

If not there will be another code along in a few days if you can wait? Not sure how long the sale stock will last though so bear that in mind.

Un related to the christmas shopping, I have just bought 2 pairs of lined curtains for £17 from tesco clearance. They had lots slashed prices on home stuff, curtains from £2 odd.

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey Fri 05-Oct-12 09:12:19

fuzz that is the one i posted on last thread it's here

They have got some great bargains, delivery is only £2.99 or you can have store collection. Also if you have an ebay account you can pay with paypal.

If you're near one it's well worth a visit loads of reductions and i got dds some collectable 2012 figures this week, they ones in cases £20.00 reduced to £1.00, great stocking fillers.

oreocrumbs Fri 05-Oct-12 09:27:35

I think this has been mentioned upthread, but the offer starts today - and this one really is a good value offer, the perfume alone sells for £35/£40.

Boots star offer

As far as I know these star offers are not included in the 3 for 2. Thre will be a nw one every friday untill christmas.

Fairyjen Fri 05-Oct-12 09:29:35

theangel I can't work out how to do link as I'm on my phone. Is from zavvi outlet store - they have a shop on eBay. They also do blue ray DVDs for £4.99 and all postage is free!!!

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey Fri 05-Oct-12 09:37:26

Fairy be careful with Zavvi, they often sell items and then don't deliver!

I ordered a wii game on 23rd Sept, it was in stock, immediate dispatch. Still not arrived so just called and was told that it wasn't in stock and they won't have it for a few weeks - no communication at all, i have cancelled the order.

They did the same thing last year with a Monster High set, i won't use them again.

Fairyjen Fri 05-Oct-12 09:38:41

Disney store have got50% off selected products including the big soft toys.

fuzzpig Fri 05-Oct-12 09:39:49

We have an entertainer in town as well so I'll have a look. Going to hobbycraft as well today as I got a voucher in the paper. And the Disney store for the sale. Maybe boots for 3 for 2.

Going to be busy - but it'd be good if I could make lots of decisions today!

MistressIggi Fri 05-Oct-12 09:42:11

Hokeycokey thanks for the tip about Zazzi. Am looking for Fifa 13 (xbox) for DH's birthay next week - can't get cheaper than 38.97 so far.

Fairyjen Fri 05-Oct-12 09:53:28

Will be careful I've not had any probs so far, all my stuff been delivered. Maybe it's because was done through eBay....

Thanks for the Disney Store tipoff - Just ordered DD a giant Minnie Mouse £10 instead of £20! and a cuddly Cinderella doll for her friend £10 instead of £18 :-)

Thats the kind of shopping I like :-)

fuzzpig Fri 05-Oct-12 10:47:25

We got a cuddly stitch sky, it is SO CUTE! Not sure who to give it to hmm

Iggi - I am not sure of the rules but Tesco direct had some offer where you get FIFA 13 for £30ish when you also buy something (I think it's Xbox points or something? I don't know as I don't have an Xbox) so if the other thing is something you'd also buy it might be worth a look

fuzzpig Fri 05-Oct-12 10:53:25

Mmm can't find it on Tesco site now maybe it was a short term offer sorry sad (still worth looking though in case I missed it)

Tesco have this Hot Wheels set for £15 in store, I couldn't find it on their website though.

Does anyone know how long that £10 off lasts?

Fairyjen Fri 05-Oct-12 11:42:58

Jus gone back on Disney store, no basket item to buy anything!! Tips anyone?

ChristmasKate Fri 05-Oct-12 11:53:20

Fuzzpig I discovered this brand through Zuilly. I've just brought the next size up for my DD (2.5) and comparing them, they still look brand new. Very pleased with how well they have washed, good sized buttons and elasticated waist, and lovely bright patterns.

Mini ZZZ Normally priced at £17, these are half price.

reastie oh no, hope you you get a replacement

fuzzpig Fri 05-Oct-12 14:35:16

Ooh those are pretty cute!

I was looking in Disney store - they don't usually get character jammies, but they are £12 each. Seen lots of nice ones in Debenhams, M&S etc but all a bit pricey - we usually get cheap sets from supermarket or primark, and PIL tend to send nice ones throughout the year including at Xmas, but they need jammies from the elves on Xmas eve too, it's the law grin

Badvoc Fri 05-Oct-12 15:52:37

Any of you got any ideas for female teachers?
£5 ideally as I have 3 to buy for!

FitByForty Fri 05-Oct-12 16:05:10

Badvoc - what about the Molten Brown lip glosses - they only work out at £5.95 if you use the £10 off code (MARIE10). They do one that's a fairly neutral colour so would suit anyone (sorry, can't link on phone).
You'd have to place them as 3 separate orders though.

reastie Fri 05-Oct-12 16:06:06

badvoc how about www.joules.com/Home-Garden/Stationery/Stationery-Collection/Girls-Memo-Pad/Piggy-Cat?id=M_GIRLSMEMOPAD|PIGGY these joules memo pads? They aren't that exciting but you can get 3 and use the £10 code mentioned earlier, £1 postage then all 3 gifts come to £12. As a female teacher I'd be pretty pleased with them as they are nice and actually can be used.

ecuse Fri 05-Oct-12 16:28:43

Thanks all. Wallis jewellery - check. Personalised Peppa pig book - check. Orla Kiely scarves - check!

Anyone got any good ideas for generic 'presents for men' (but not anything involving golf jokes or I shall weep) for around the £10 mark?

DillyTante Fri 05-Oct-12 16:36:38

Thanks so much for the Molten Brown code. Love Naran Ji! Can't justify it for me so bought some for my mum.

Just been into the lushwebsite...(my b day next week and am treating myself)
They have a new product called FUN for kids whippch looks great..£5 per bar but lots of uses per bar...better than a bath bomb for stockings I think...

MooseyMoo Fri 05-Oct-12 18:19:51

Just had quick look at Crabtree and Evenlyn for MiL. They have 20% off full price items, until Mon 8th Nov - OCT20. Only to be used once. On checkout an Evelyn rose lotion 5ml sample was added free. Free giftwrap as well.

Right off to cook dinner - hmm chinese smile

rhondajean Fri 05-Oct-12 18:19:57

I bought a bar of fun in the shop last week for dd2s stocking it looks fab! You can play with it like plasticine and they showed me it made up as a bubble bath too, they smell gorgeous, I bought the blue because it's got something soothing for her eczema (forget what ) but they all smell lovely.

You can even wash your clothes with it! And it's quite a biggish bar.

ChristmasKate Fri 05-Oct-12 18:20:35

Oh Waitrose, Heston Christmas pud would be lovely in the hamper I'm making.

What else can I add to my basket for a Christmas delivery, I've never shopped at Waitrose before and I'm not hosting dinner this year so I'm looking for treats, nibbles and alcohol....

rhondajean Fri 05-Oct-12 18:20:39

That was about lush sorry in reply to badvoc!

reastie Fri 05-Oct-12 18:23:36

moosey you have just tempted me to look on C&E!

PersuedByPenguins Fri 05-Oct-12 18:27:46

If anyone is buying in the Iwantoneofthosecom sale check out clubcard awards first as you get double value I think!

fuzzpig Fri 05-Oct-12 18:40:44

HMV sale was pretty good too BTW. Lots reduced and lots on 2 for £10. Including Home Alone 1&2 double feature so I am very happy grin

Intrigued by the Bar of Fun - my DCs don't get much fun stuff in the bath due to DS' eczema. Would actually really like ideas for bath toys suitable for 3 and 5yo - most toys in ELC etc are babyish.

I am also planning on getting the edible massage bar in lush for DH's stocking wink

fuzzpig Fri 05-Oct-12 18:41:55

The argos thing is meant to start 'next week' from the site I saw it on. From that I take it to mean from monday 8th onwards, or starting at some point that week. I don't have any further info on that. It was posted by an argos employee who was looking at 'next weeks' offers and giving a heads up.

You could buy it now, and if they start the vouchers next week take it back, get a refund and re buy it to qualify for the vouchers.

I have two if anyone wants to try them on boden, on top of the ten percent off and free delivery codes I just posted.

X52cz35bem31

Svrefrvtaa4n

All valid til midnight Monday.

rhondajean Sat 06-Oct-12 20:28:24

I've got even better news - you can combine the two voucher codes.

I've just ordered dd a fleece teddy zip through for £1.60 Instead of £24.

I know boden may not be as good quality as it used to be but at these prices it's going to be fine!

rhondajean Sat 06-Oct-12 20:34:30

Right get over here now!

I've just tried putting codes in for something at £18 and it seems to have taken both codes and given me it for nothing...where are you all hiding?

WineGless Sat 06-Oct-12 20:36:57

Hungry hoops were definitely in b and m which is same company as home bargains for about £8 last week

Mags77 Sat 06-Oct-12 20:39:04

I've just used the Boden codes too, but in the confirmation email it says:

"The provisional total for your order is £10.80. Providing the gift vouchers are valid, your credit card will be charged £0.80 when the items are despatched. Could you please retain your redeemed gift vouchers until receiving your goods."

So we may get charged full price. However, I think hope that the 10% off and free delivery code also gives free returns.

happierhigherstrongerwheezing Sat 06-Oct-12 20:40:28

Rhonda, out of interest I put a code in and it does seem to work.

I think it's more of a gift voucher though and I expect them to cancel my order.

But you never know, just got a jumper for .40p.

I can't think that it will be honored though!

happierhigherstrongerwheezing Sat 06-Oct-12 20:42:10

Tkns gives you 15% off. I did put in the field under extra instructions that to cancel the order if the gift voucher doesn't work

You never know though!

rhondajean Sat 06-Oct-12 20:42:31

Ah well it's worth a go!

The ten percent and free delivery and returns should definitely work for you.

I'll keep my fingers crossed about the rest....

MegBusset Sat 06-Oct-12 20:45:44

Rhonda I have just tried those codes and they seem to be working smile Thanks thanks

MegBusset Sat 06-Oct-12 20:48:21

Ah yes... just seen the message in the confirmation email! Well it's worth a try...

LegArmpits Sat 06-Oct-12 20:52:22

Oh joy! I could kiss whoever said about the Kiddizoom on offer at Ocado, just got two as presents, they're £20 cheaper than on Amazon for a start, and then I found a voucher code to get £10 off first order!

Try this: Enter Code at Checkout
VOU3452351

Brilliant. I will add bargains as I find them. Thanks.

LegArmpits Sat 06-Oct-12 20:56:07

Ah, just seen that code is valid until 31/10, so a while yet.

HolyAutumnGoldBatman Sat 06-Oct-12 21:18:05

Cars cars (big ones); £2.38 (or similar)
Matchstick cars; 39p-99p

That site's brilliant thanks oli

Levantine Sat 06-Oct-12 22:18:25

oh great, thanks so much

Rhoda, I've just ordered using the combined boden codes you posted, with a total cost of less than £20, and it didn't even ask for my card details. So I imagine they'll either cancel it (most likely) or honour it (in which case, freebie!).

Thank you!

rhondajean Sat 06-Oct-12 22:28:29

I think a few of us have tried it and when - we are all crossing fingers that it goes through.

I reckon it's worth a go at those kind of prices.

HolyAutumnGoldBatman Sat 06-Oct-12 22:40:35

I had a go with two codes and less than £20, it would be amazing if it goes through!

milkymocha Sat 06-Oct-12 22:47:28

Thank you christmas elves!

I managed to get 2 kiddizoom cameras (one for DS1, one for DN) a firemans outfit, a big shape sorting bus and a packet of nappies for DS2 for £62 from Ocado!
Very happy milky!

milkymocha Sat 06-Oct-12 22:56:44

PuffPants Sat 06-Oct-12 23:22:04

milkymocha Sat 06-Oct-12 23:26:01

Thats rubbish Rhoda! Could you get them delivered to a relatives house/work?
Free delivery and supposedly coming on Monday between 2-3pm smile

wildpoppy Sat 06-Oct-12 23:43:36

That's great holyautumn. Where is your local tesco? I've never seen bargain bins at my quite small local one.

FredWorms Sat 06-Oct-12 23:52:12

So this Boden code, is it a gift voucher then?

I'm more than happy to bandy codes about but that's a bit too close to fraud, isn't it? It just feels like cheating!

Aspiemum2 Sun 07-Oct-12 00:17:33

Have bitten the bullet and ordered MB goodies. Had to close the browser each time to get it to work - anyone else had this?

Stopped at 3 just now, will wait and see if it goes through ok then maybe order more!!

reastie Sun 07-Oct-12 07:24:27

I've just given the boden codes a punt too - bought a new baby gift for a friend who's expecting for £1.25! Seems too good to be true so we shall see...

Thanks for ocado code, will use that next week and spend the money off on a heston christmas pud (which will hopefully end out being free grin )

Must stop reading this thread, I'm nearly done on presents now!

LegArmpits Sun 07-Oct-12 07:39:40

Oh bum, they're coming up as invalid for me.

McPhee Sun 07-Oct-12 07:50:26

ELC 20% off of all toys in store

blub Sun 07-Oct-12 07:55:34

Thanks for the Red House link to the Harry Potter book - the new Lego Magical World book is double the price on Amazon so, with free delivery too, it's a real bargain!

shelley72 Sun 07-Oct-12 09:30:44

aspiemum i had the same trouble with MB - but (i think) i have managed to order some hand creams for DS reception teacher/TA.
am tempted to try the boden code thing too as have seen a very cute top for DD but i buy from them a lot and they might think i am up to no good...

rhondajean Sun 07-Oct-12 09:36:16

The Biden code isn't a gift voucher- I have never ordered from Biden before now and they sent me through the codes in letters for some reason to entice me in, so they're genuine money off codes. Just not sure if they will honour them more than once - we will see!

rhondajean Sun 07-Oct-12 09:37:23

Biden? confused

Hi,

I'm trying to find the Duplo stone quarry at a cheaper price. If anyone has any ideas, can you please post. TIA.

oreocrumbs Sun 07-Oct-12 11:23:33

LaTrucha I've had a scout around and the price you have in tesco is the cheapest I can see. Usually they sell between £50 and £60.

I think you will have to keep an eye out for a specific lego/duplo offer, or if you have any tesco reward vouchers wait for the next exchange due end Nov/start Dec and double up on the value.

They sell on the lego site for £50, so it's worth keeping eyes peeled to see if they put any discount vouchers out in the run up to christmas.

Put it on your Amazon watch list. Look every day, the prices change on Amazon constantly - usually by a few pence but every now and then they drop them - probably as a price match to another major retailer. That will take out some of the leg work for you!

LaTrucha Sun 07-Oct-12 12:08:44

Thanks for that oreocrumbs!

Aspiemum2 Sun 07-Oct-12 12:46:16

Wish I'd remembered to use quidco for all these bargains - the cash back would have been adding up quick. Hope the rest of you have remembered!

Quidco. Is a cashback site. It is free to join and very straight forward.

When you are going to shop online go onto your quidco page and either search for the shop or the product you want. They will bring up offers, and cash back. You then just click the link and it takes you to the page. That is it. They record your sale and you get cashback. The cash back comes in runs, so you never know when it is coming, but it tracks on your homepage so you can keep tabs on it.

The quidco home page has the main offers on. Sometimes you can earn money for nothing if you have a bit of free time. For example a couple of months ago I got £10 for joining experian credit reference. It was a free trial, so I joined, printed off a copy (you didn't have to, I just thought I would while I was on), and then cancelled it 24 hrs later. Got £10 for that.

Thay have big amounts of cash back on holidays, sky tv, car insurance and such like.

But mainly just get in the habit of clicking onto quidco and then through it to the website you want and cash back mounts up really quickly.

BlameItOnTheCuervForHumanBlood Sun 07-Oct-12 19:42:40

Oooh, I have a topcashback link, and if yopu join through my link I earn money. I prefer tcb to quidco, faster payouts

BlameItOnTheCuervForHumanBlood Sun 07-Oct-12 19:47:28

here I use them as much as possible
