Hi

I am in seriously need of help here. My Mum is great, has 11 grandchildren and always has time for them all, gets perfect gifts for everyone and looks after my daughter once a week which is DDs fave day.

So, what on earth do I get her? She is not a massive jewellry or make up person. I did theatre last xmas and birthday, her house is lovely and likes to choose her own clothes.

Any nice unusual ideas gratefully received?

what about a hamper of nice biscuits and cakes and fine teas and coffees, you could either buy one already made or make your own.

books? persephone does a lovely line of forgotten books hardly published before, they are beautifully presented, come individually wrapped etc etc... my mum LOVES these (but she loves reading)

How about some pampering time for her?

Thanks guys, am liking all of these, especially the books. Gonna to investigate right now.

The thing is they (DM & DSF) want for nothing, they are not wanters if that makes sense they are givers. I think if I took a day off and booked us both into a spa for some chill time she would like that lots.

Like the home made hamper idea to, she would like that so much more than a bought one.

I have bought my MIL one of these - its really beautiful and cosy in the flesh. Perfect for cuddling up on the sofa. Lots of nice things on this site.
