It's occured to me, while drafting my third email to Lilimay.com chasing the remainder of my order (the previous 2 having been ignored!), that we should have a thread to praise those companies we've received great service from in the run up to Christmas.

I've got some lovely wellies for ds1 from EmilyHannahLtd. They arrived next day and delivery is free leading up to Christmas.

Also received lots of craft stuff for making cards with the kids from Crafty Capers. Good range and reasonable delivery charges. Arrived within a couple of days of ordering.

Body Shop have been really efficient too. Free delivery over £15, freebies if you spend over £25 and lots of other offers online.

And Amazon, as ever. Anyone else?

Bought some suit trousers from M&S but they didn't have the jacket in my size.

Ordered it online, arrived last Mon, labels showed two completely different sizes.

They have sent a courier for the jacket I have.
I get the new one free.
And free postage.

Good old M&S

Another one here who has bought loads from play.com - fantastic bargains and free delivery!

Not sure on all their other stuff but had a fantastic experience with very.co.uk - they had a dinner set for £22 and you could get a second one for half price, which would come to £33 plus delivery. I had a voucher code (googled it) and put that in at the checkout - they must have added another discout as the whole bill was just under £16 with delivery - best bargain I've had all year!!!! Arrived next day and have also got DD2's Christmas presents on there - very happy!

I ordered an iPod nano for DD from the Apple online store - free delivery and free engraving- at 10.30pm on Wednesday - it was delivered at 8.30 on Friday morning. I was at work and DS who was at home didn't hear the doorbell. I checked the online tracking while I was at work & came home expecting to have to rearrange the delivery for Monday, and found that they had redelivered it at 5 pm.

I third Play.com. Free delivery on everything and most items are cheaper than elsewhere. Have also started to use their playtrade with success so far.

With free delivery, I find that I can order things here and there and spread the cost. As opposed to having to order a bumper delivery to make the costs worthwhile.

Argos delivery was also good as I could choose a delivery date but did have to wait in all day.

I ordered a couple of things from www.thatcuteage.com, a scrunch ball and a leapfrog interactive game (reduced price)- (they have got a good clearance section), and was very impressed by service. Free delivery for orders over £15 and arrived within 2 days.

Also, www.tickety-boo.co.uk has been fab. They don't stock the Djeco stamp set I wanted but ordered it in specially for me, have done this in the past for other items too - great customer service and great range of toys.

Thorntons have excellent customer service and have also been better with their offers this year.

Amazon have been good, postage to Switzerland fast and reliable.

Boden were fantastic, as were M&S.

Am still waiting on confirmation email from McLaggan Smith Mugs, ordered on 18th November. Emailed last week to ask if order has been processed. Anyone else ordered from them?

Aladdin Cookware kept me well informed about a short delay in stock for my Silverwood brownie tins. A SIlverwood Helpdesk person was posting on another subject on MN, I moaned about the delivery, and it was sorted vvq . Aladdin then sent me the tins when they got their delivery, and I swear they arrived around 18 hours later!

We also use Amazon a lot and they have always been excellent. Also Play.com, HMV and Shopto.net have also been great for Dvds, video games etc.

John Lewis, TK Maxx and House of Fraser online are good too.

We do almost all of our shopping online so there are loads of places I could mention as we have found that in the main it has always been easy and convenient. And tons cheaper, especially if you use Quidco and search for online vouchers.

Majestic Wine have a high street presence as well as online.

They exceed our expectations every time.

When we order a van load online they have a real life person from the local shop ring us up and ask us when we would like it delivered. They come when we want and they never quibble if any of the bottles are 'off' and we need to return them. The prices are good and the staff are really knowledgable, friendly, and profesisonal. They have a policy of employing graduates and giving their staff shares so they have a stake in the business.

They have just responded to customer feedback by reducing the minimum order to 6 bottles and I strongly recommend them if you want to order for drinks for a party.

When Thresher have just gone out of business it shows how the right business can prosper even in hard times. Try them.

Amazon, Toyshop, John Lewis, M and S all brilliant as per.

Cannot negotiate play.com and have given up as it picks up I am not in the UK and won't let me deliver to (my) UK address.

V pleased with Thornton's service, but had 2 codes (1 discount 1 free delivery) and it would only let me use one, which was mean.

Very and all of those other cataloguey ones were great, but the latest Woolworth's one won't accept my card without verisign which I have never signed up for, and when I try to do it it says "problem, self-destruct" etc (even though, there is money in the bank)

A couple of ebay sellers have also been lovely. In fact am just about to paypal the postage difference to one as I noticed she paid loads more than she asked for and I'd like to think someone might do the same for me. I also bought a brand new water filter from ebay for 99p and the woman refunded me £1 delivery as she'd charged too much.
