What recipe for christmas cupcakes?

I will be icing them and giving them out in boxes. I don't want just plain sponge cake, but I don't want a dried fruit cake either. Something that has a hint of christmas to it - maybe some cinnamon? or citrus in it? Not sure, but something a bit special.

Any ideas?

You could try Nigella's Clementine Cake, here

Ooh, got to be Christmas Cupcakes fromNigella's 'How to Be a Domestic Goddess' As she says a cross betwwen chocolate and gingerbread, and have mixed spice and choc in them. Then ice with white icing, and cut leaves out of green icing, with a couple of cranberries on top -if you can be bothered. If not, just make the cakes, and ice with white. I have done these a lot to take to people and they always go down a treat with grown ups and kids. Let me know if you need the recipe.

Galletti - I would LOVE that recipe please! I don't need the icing/decoration part - just the cake itself.

Thanks!
