Aqua beads-which one is best for 7yr old?

Hi there,

I am looking for advice.
Wanting to get one of those Aqua beads sets for a 7.5year old girl.

Tried looking on the internet but was bombarded with choice!

Can anyone offer advice as to which one is best. Would prefer one that makes several models rather than 1 big model. would also prefer one that doesn't take ages and ages to make just one thing.

Btw child is quite keen at crafty type things if this helps.

Thank you

We had aquabeads and they were rubbish, wouldn't stick together at all, really disappointing We had to take them back and get a refund.

Oh no butterfly.

Will await any other responses before proceeding then.

Don't know about Aqua beads but Bindeez are rubbish. They just fall apart! Very annoying for DD1.

Have heard the same about Bindeez and Aquabeads.

My DD had Hama beads for her birthday. Admittedly they need ironing by an adult for them to stick, but that aside they are very good.

If you're not dead set on this particular kind of thing try the Yellow Moon/Baker Ross website which does loads of crafty stuff and is very reasonable price wise.

Agree on Hama beads, my DD is 3.5 and can make things with alittle help and they last really well.

The aquabeads flower tower thing is quite good. As long as you get them quite wet and then leave them long enough to dry I find they do stick ok. TBH I tend to throw them away a few days after they're made anyway.

Might try hama beads instead then.

Thanks for the replies.

Oh we're getting on great with aquabeads in our house. DD has the deluxe box, and a couple of little sets since.

Paisleyleaf- do you think the deluxe set is better quality then or is there a knack to doing them?

I have no idea. I can't imagine it is any better quality.
I think we spray too much water on - takes hours to dry, but maybe they need that then.
