lamb on Christmas Day

We rarely have turkey at Christmas as not many of my family like it so we tend to do a different meat every year, last year it was beef, duck the year before etc. I fancy doing lamb this year but none of the magazines with all the wonderful festive recipes ever have lamb in them! Is it becuase its an Easter thing maybe?

So....anyone got any ideas of how to make lamb a bit Christmassy? Bearing in mind we might have one other meat, either pork or maybe a chicken....???

Muchas gracias!

Sounds lovely. Garlic and lots of rosemary I presume?

I did a bit of googling and found this poem not that you can eat it obviously

Well I do roast lamb with recurrent gravy and cranberry stuffing balls.

But I did do one year are really nice lamb tagine for christmas dinner (tis traditional to have rich food and you can't get much more rich than a decent tagine with lots of fruit and gorgeous spices in.

I just had a search around and found some that look nice... This:

Also it seems that lamb is quite traditional at Christmas in Spain, or at least the Catalonia reason and have found these:

www.spanish-fiestas.com/recipes/roast-lamb.htm (apparently this one is eaten a lot of the Christmas period)

Hopefully one os those will sound good to you. I like the idea of having a different meat each year. We had goose a couple of years ago which was lovely. Last year we went out for dinner and I picked the beef which was also very nice. Back to turkey this year I think.

also throw in some prunes to the dish too.
