Right I am about to book for the week before xmas next year. It is between Longleat and Elvedon. We will have a 3 year old with us so not sure if Longleat would be suitable if its hilly.
Feels weird booking holiday 12 months in advance!

Thankyou! I think the spa would have won anyway, but it's good to know we won't have an upset DD on the night!

Sorry haven't read whole thread.
We're doing Whinfell 14th-21st Dec this year!
Hearing some of you talk about the fireworks, anyone know if there are fireworks at whinfell? Currently have kids club & spa booked for Sunday but might change if there are to be fireworks that night as DD was at kids club at Elvedon last year and missed them! blush
Mid-week is often lower cost... I tend to go Weekends (Fri late evening as I go after work till Monday).

Is Longleat suitable for toddlers? I saw lots of toddlers there in the past year (think I've been 6 times in the past year)... plus am going in December with a 2 year old, nearly 4 year old, 11 month old.

I'm wondering what question you asked CP. Was it about the accommodation perhaps? Some accommodation they don't recommend for babies/toddlers - not sure why, maybe due to some safety issue of some kind. But CP Longleat as a whole I'd say is ideal for toddlers... good toddler area at the pool, beach by the lake.

I wonder how long the "original" exec style will stay "orginal" as you would think they might have finished upgrading the villas by December 2010.....

She said no ?

Very odd.

We always enjoy ourselves and have been with our son and the place is always crawling with pre-schoolers out of season.

I think we'll probably end up going weekend as DH hasn't got much holiday left next yr but would much prefer midweek as always more relaxed.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
