Anyone else trying to get Go Go Hamsters? Are they any good?

Hi, i said i wouldn't buy them (to dh last week), i have now bought a few bits online yesterday but most bits (ball, spiral, beds) i can't seem to find in stock anywhere.

Anyone else struggling to get hold of them?

Are they really worth the hastle or are they just a fad?

I just got them, no idea how good they are as saving them for Xmas.

Toys r us have the actual hamster in the shop near me. I ordered the deluxe playset at Toys R Us online and it came yesterday. Not sure if still in stock though.

However my brother is a manager for Argos and told me a secret......the argos website says they're out of stock for home delivery. However he reckons if you ring the main customer service argos number up they will be able to sort delivery out. Shhhhh.

I think thats just for the deluxe playset though, which I'd been struggling to get. I've managed to get a car and skateboard from Play.com as well but they're not on the website anymore. No idea where to get a bed from and I'd like one too.

Argos are doing a half price hamster if you buy the house.

I managed to get the house, car and skateboard yesterday from character toys.

E-bay and Amazon prices seem to be double the RRP .

What are they? This fad hasn't reached us oop north yet. At least not in this part any how.

We are still on stuck on the Hannah M/HSM obsession.

In the top toys this year
Antoher mnetter said they were grabbing these off the shelves in toys r us at the weekend !!!
Glad (fingers crossed) my dd hasn't asked for these this year!

Should imagine they will be on ebay at extrotionate prices soon then!

I got the playset thing from Toys R Us last week. Should have got a few, they're out of stock again.

Thank goodness we are not into these yet. Mine have real hamsters to ignore!

We got Mr Squiggles for DS birthday in October. It is FAB!

However we also have the car and garage. Whilst ,this is brilliant and funny the garage is very shoddy and falls to bits very easily - but you need the garage to make tha car work.

My sis got them on Amazon the other day. She said they had plenty of stock

My dd had one for her birthday in September. After playing with it for 5 minutes it stopped moving. Still makes the noises though and the cat likes it. It was fun while it lasted.

at the mad eBay buying already! Saying that, Argos are not expecting the funhouses in until December.

Toys R Us in Basingstoke has plenty of hamsters and quite a few houses so don't know what they are like nationally (their website says out of stock for mail order)

I had ordered bits from play.com (for nieces) but they claimed there was something wrong with my card (there isn't) and sat on the order for weeks. Eventually I cancelled, and now they have some stock in that they're punting out at more than double the previous price!

[scunnered emoticon]

However, I had already told the nieces that I'd ordered the stuff, so am frantically scouring the web on a daily basis looking for the stuff I need.

oldlady ask on here mnetters are usually good at getting good deal on the net.

Thanks, Lily. I discovered another website which seemed to match play.com prices but are as out of stock as everyone else; at least they have a facility to "notify me when you have stock". However, unlike play, they do charge postage, just in case anyone was thinking I'm some sort of adbot! Postage adds a fair chunk to the price.

I'll hang on a bit, hoping to get the stock, but I'm pissed off that I thought I had it weeks ago, before I knew these were this year's Buzz Lightyear.

[reveals last time it mattered and therefore age emoticon]

OK, I see character online has already been mentioned, several times.

[should read thread more thoughly emoticon]

These are pretty much sold out everywhere - well the hamsters are more readily available, but the accessories are very hard to come by now. Apparently there's not going to be much more stock available before xmas - don't know how true that is though.

They had the hamsters and surfboard thing in my local tesco today might be worth a try for anyone looking.
