GLTC had some in their last year catalogue. Blooming Marvellous too I think

they do them in The Range, and the prices are pretty good too

This one is from the Great Little Trading Company - £22 but Mumsnetters get 10% off I think so it'd be under £20...

I am desperate for This one but can't justify spending £45 on it

We got this one a few year ago from our local garden centre. It's £19.95 on that site though

BlairSnitch, I've seen one very similar to your advent house one in my local john lewis.

£30

Its out of stock on line but I've definately seen them in store

We got a nice wooden one from John Lewis a couple of years ago - less than £20

Thanks blownin. I think it's nicer than the GLTC one too!!

Ooh, might go and have a look in my local JL

well, I just phoned my local JL to see if there was any in stock, they have 3, was going to reserve one, but they offered to deliver it free of charge. I wasn't aware you could do that direct with the store.

I love JL

Really? Might give mine a ring too....

Blownin - that is a beautiful advent calendar. I'd already seen a picture of it somewhere and loved it. I bought a JL wooden one for the DC's a couple of years ago (which of coursse is still in pristine condition but not quite as nice) and am v sad that I can't justify another purchase!

As a complete aside, I am also a big JL fan. Bought a pair of jeans from them last year and when I got home discovered they had left the security tag on. They didn't have another pair to send me and I didn't want to travel the 30 miles back to the store so they sent a man out to remove the tag on my doorstep!

My JL didn't have any in but are expecting new stock at the beginning of November and I have one reserved

Oh, I am soo tempted to get one even though we already have one but DH would kill me! Clearly this Xmas I'm going to have advent calendar envy!

I can't wait to get mine. Going to have to make one door a special birthday door though as DD is due at the end of December

Could I ask what you all put in them? I coveted the JL one last year... but the holes are so small, I didn't get it, as I couldn't think of enough things that would go in them (other than sweets, obviously).

Hair bobbles/clips etc, cheap plastic bracelets, rubber bouncy balls, small Xmas decorations. Cheap tat basically, but DD has always loved them. And I've always managed to retrieve most of them and put them back in the following year . She'll be 5.5yrs this Xmas though so may suss me out.

No idea what to put in this year for DS 2.9yrs though. He'd be perfectly happy with sweets every day, but I won't

Picked my JL advent house up yesterday. Woman in there told me they are very popular this year and are selling out as fast as they can get them into the shops. "Rare as hens teeth" was the ohrase she used!

It is gorgeous though

You can put a note in each drawer with a christmas activity to do that day.

e.g.
Make mince pies
Muy lovely things to make christmas cards out of
Make christmas cards
Buy Christmas Tree & decorate it
Make wrapping paper

etc etc
