Too expensive for us this year , we went the first year and despite some let downs enjoyed it.
Didn't go last year but enjoyed the thread on it and the responses from their pr team grin
Did anyone go last year ?

Was this the one where Santa got punched in the head?

I remember weeping with laughter last year at the thread with links to the pictures of the elves.

No, that was Lapland New Forest or some such. Lapland UK is the one where several random new posters who are of course totally unconnected with the attraction but coincidentally feel the need to contribute to Lapland UK posts and no others will shortly be popping up to tell us how utterly marvellous it is in every way.

Lilyloo Tue 22-Sep-09 10:51:38

Oh yes Mrs Fox-Smythe or something.

I look forward to hearing from her again.

Oh I love this thread every yeargrin It sounds like a pile of shite, wouldn't dream of going there, but the gap between the PR team's efforts and the comments from people who have visited is hilarious.

The plastic reindeer alone are well worth the long queue in the rain. And if you dose up on Haliborange Probiotic you might not even catch cold.

Portandlemon-I brought popcorn. Budge upgrin

hunlet Tue 22-Sep-09 11:13:34

SOUNDS shit.

Someone go please and report back.

TheProvincialLady Tue 22-Sep-09 11:16:12

I do wonder whether the place would improve if they told the PR team to get off MN and start painting reindeer.

Lilyloo Tue 22-Sep-09 11:24:05

I am still shock at the price increase for including a two course meal of bangers and mash and crumble and custard!!!
Is nearly £70 per ticket for cheapest weekend ones!

I thought this was a joke when I saw it. Oh my God, is it really back in operation?? What a con.

Lilyloo Tue 22-Sep-09 19:34:11

A friend's cousin has a job as an elf at the Bewl Water location for Lapland UK. I'm priming her for insider info. And, yes, it's nearly fully booked. hmm

Who are the "Message deleted" posters? Is the PR team back already? The clues are there - dull, unimaginative names and posting in office hours.

I remember last year's thread too, it was funny.

kormaAAAARRRRGGHHchameleon Thu 01-Oct-09 23:12:50

why did they get deleted ?

SmallScrewCap Thu 01-Oct-09 23:17:30

I've just looked at the gallery on the website. It looks like lots of stock images of Christmassy things like baking gingerbread & petting reindeer. There are no clues about what the venue might actually look like...

Wasn't one of the PR people last year called Dorothy or some such?
