Christmas

Is this really stingy?

All my Nanna ever asks for at Christmas is 'a nice picture of the kids'
I've been having a clear out recently and found an old digital photo frame that someone bought me years ago and I never used, so I thought I might put loads of pictures of the kids and other nice family pictures on and give it to my Nanna for Christmas

But I'm questioning it, it feels a bit wrong
She'd never know of course
What do you think?

Lovely idea, it's the thought and time (taken to choose and load photos) that counts.

What a lovely idea. And I agree it's the time and effort put into choosing photos etc that counts rather than where you got the frame from.

I bet she will be delighted.

As long as she didn't buy it for you then it's great!

We got my granny a digital photo frame one year (we all live long distance from her) and she loved it! I would say definitely give it to her but also get her something nice to go with it.

I'd give anything just to give my granny a squeeze and tell her I love her. It's coming up to 4 years of her passing and I still miss her every day.

Spoil her and give her a big squeeze when you see her next xx

I think it's a lovely gift. The present would be the photos on it.

My OH's granma already has an electronic photo frame. As she doesn't want any gifts for Christmas, we're going to load it up with pics of her beloved great grandson. She'll love it, as will yours.

Nice idea but... Will she use it? I got my gran one and after the first couple of weeks she didn't use it. Not in a nasty way but she is traditional and likes her pictures to be pictures in a frame.

PaulAnka, my Nan was the same. We dug out all her old photos from when she was younger, scanned them in put on pictures of distant relatives too. She loved it for about 2 weeks but it rarely gets switched on now. It's the thought that counts though

This year, I have taken a photo of my kids on a tractor and had it made into a jigsaw from Photobox

My friends nana loved hers but they had a few memory chips that they would frequently update. Apparently she had complained that since everyone had gone digital she never got to see photos.
