Klutz Paper Fashion books are great if they're into creative things. Lots of different ons out there -they vary in price a lot so shop around

A disco light if they like dancing. My 9 yr old DDs love theirs.

Fluffy onesie. Beados. Anything with pugs or unicorns on. Stuff from smiggle (it is hideously expensive but much beloved by girls that age).

Presents under £20 that Santa is bringing my 9 year old DD this year:

Telescope - £10 from The Works

Jacqueline Wilson/Enid Blyton/Dork Diaries/Shakespeare book box sets - various prices from The Works.

Nerf Rebelle bow - I picked DD's up for only a few quid in a sale. You can get them really cheap!

DC Superhero Girls Dolls - they're often falling to around £15 on Amazon.

Mermaid Tail blanket - I ordered DD's months ago from America for around £11. You can pick them up on eBay and Amazon for less than £20 for certain.

Worry Monster - around £10-ish from The Works. There are always discounts flying around so you can pick them up even cheaper. Think DD's worked out at about £7 in the end.

Smiggle stationary - quite expensive for what you get, but their website is constantly offering BOGOF deals.

Lottie dolls - keep an eye out for offers. I got a doll free when I ordered one.

Sequin art set went do very well with my DD last year and I've got her another one this year

Sets of books are good too, My Sister the Vampire (much more age appropriate than it sounds) is always available in box sets, DD has enjoyed Mallory Towers this year too, and I think they come as box sets.

Mermaid tail blankets are very in, I've got one for DD and one for her BFF.

I have a nearly 8 year old dd and she is wants scented felt tips apparently they are much sought after in her class. Fairy door is another one on the list I'm not sure exactly what it is but again it's a must for her friends. Dolls clothes for our generation dolls if she has one, onesies, glittery shoes, trolls, knock knack things from Claire's Accessories, books, my dd loves H&M I picked her up some lovely clothes in there.

Any of the top model sticker/colouring fashion design books or Miss melody horse sticker/colouring books, you can get nice pencils/pens to go with them, mine love them. You can often get them in nice garden centres and similar gift shops. Really good quality, lots to choose from.

My 9yo would love any pretty stationary (Smiggle being the top of that list)

Books - Any David Walliams, Enid Blyton (Famous Five, secret seven, mallory towers) Diary of a wimpy kid, Harry Potter

Simon Air was a big hit for birthday

TY beanie boo toys

She would love a pair of Heeleys but I went for a pair of £20 rollerskates from Amazon as I figured they would last longer.

Tat from Claires Accessories
