Is this a thing ? Song recording

DD (9) loves singing, and so for Xmas I thought she would like a device that allowed her to record herself singing to backing tracks, Does such a thing exist ?
She has a lap top.. is there some attachment /app combination that would deliver this ?
She doesnt have a phone ( and I dont really want her to have one)

Google SelfieMic, that may do the trick.

There is a Wii Sing, but DD didn't like it as she didn't know lots of songs. If you want to spend money get a karaoke machine.

No idea about tech but you can buy gift experiences where you can take her to a proper recording studio and record a couple of songs. They get a cd of themselves to take home.

Thanks for the responses. Yes I have done the recording thing for her , and she loved it. I just wanted to have something that she could do at home.

I am looking for exactly the same thing. Does anyone know if you can get a karaoke machine that records too? Or can you only sing along to them?
