My ds2 is obsessed with trains, he's got some new hornby trains plus books, DVDs but I'm stuck for anything else. Thanks Smile

My Dad is a train enthusiast and we've bought him a fair few train-inspired presents over the years. We usually buy something to add to his train set and he's had things like a train driver hat and whistle, plaques to put in the wall of his train room (yes he has an entire big room of the house for his trains!), posters, books, dvds. We also bought him a steam train driver experience and I think there were some more basic experiences too. This year I've bought him a board game called Ticket to Ride which says it's from age 8 and up. Never played it, but it has excellent reviews and it has a big steam train on the front so I'm guessing it has something to do with trains!

Thanks everyone Smile just found the game, looks good. Will get a whistle and hat for his stocking, also just found a 'station master' badge.

Glad that was helpful Smile Both my DC also have a wooden train sound whistle a bit like this although not personalised so you can probably get them cheaper elsewhere.
