Hello all,

This is something that has been on my mind and will love my children to volunteer.
I have searched and don t know If I am not searching right ...because i cannot find any organisation that allows children volunteer - to help other children that are less privileged than them.

I have seen lots of organisations that allows adults to volunteer but I want my children to volunteer - eg..feed homeless or package Christmas presents or help other children in the hospital.

Does anyone know of any - that children can volunteer to help?

Thank You

How old are your children, is there anything they want to do specifically?

Are you looking specifically for Christmas volunteering? A lot of churches for example put on a lunch for people on Christmas day and there the children/young people help out too (depends a bit on the age of the children obviously). As Badger says what do your children want to do?
Mine had a great time the other day making up a 'reverse advent calendar' of tins, Christmas food and toiletries that they will use through November to then take all the contents to the foodbank at the beginning of December. Not quite volunteering but a step in that direction.

Our church does a nativity service where the congregation, including the children, give new toys to be given at Christmas to children who might not otherwise have any.

How old are your children? My oldest volunteers at a group for special needs children. They let. Them volunteer from age 14 - lots of them use it towards their Duke Of Edinburgh award. If you have any groups like that locally it's worth getting in touch.
