I have 3 children 2 boys and 1 girl, so im looking for very cheap stocking filler gifts. I know that sometimes amazon etc have very cheap bits and pieces, does anyone know the best way to search for the little gifty bits?

I will be watching with interest for stocking fillers but also have 50 tiny wooden advent drawers to fill.

I've been saying this on every thread for stocking fillers but do you live near a TIGER store? Brilliant for cheap yet not tacky and well designed little bits and pieces, toys, puzzles, pencils, sharpeners, bathroom things, pretty plasters, unusual craft things, balls, sweets even...

I've got an advent calendar to do and I'm going there.

Poundland is a good starting point.
Ebay to.

Depends on what they're used to/ their age, but I'm a bit of a skinflint when it comes to advent calender drawers, working on the premise that DD is about to get presents at Christmas anyway. So some days I put things in, but other days I turn last years Christmas cards into notes with

  • Christmas jokes/riddles
  • instructions for a Christmas related event we're going to do eg 'collect and decorate the Christmas tree', 'bake Christmas biscuits'
  • instructions to find various Christmas things eg the Christmas CD that comes out every year.

I then put in:
  • Christmas finger puppets - bought from amazon a few years ago, and get recycled every year
  • some pencils with Christmas rubbers on the end
  • a few chocolate coins
  • cheap Xmas stickers from pound land.

This year I bought a second hand playmobile Christmas set for a couple of quid, so am going to split it over some of the days.

You can get bundles of fillers in 24 or 12 on Ebay! I always start picking bits up in town but never quite manage to fill all the pockets before December 1st so this saves a lot of lunch breaks looking for tat that isn't in huge multipacks. m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Christmas-Advent-Calendar-24-unisex-toys-stationary-no-hair-accessories-/142160495123?nav=SELLING_ACTIVE
