Thank you Flowers

Would he like the cards or do you mean toys/games/soft toys, etc. There is a Nintendo 3ds game coming out in November : Pokemon sun and moon, if he likes that. Chacon cards has booster tins with cards and other boxes with cards in. Plush toys can be bought from various places online

They also do various t-shirts and hoodies. Also a Pokémon monopoly game. If playing Pokemon go there are also books to help that or separately books like encyclopaedia of different Pokemon (DSS has been a fan for years - the two new ds3 games have been on his Xmas list since they were announced!)

DD wants pokeballs that pop open and have a little pokemon creature inside. Think they're called thrown n pop.

There is more Pokémon merchandise than you can possibly imagine. Cuddly toys, clothing, key chains, tiny figures, build your own models, Pokémon monopoly, books etc etc etc.

DS2 has a tub of tiny Pokémon figures that he just adores. And also a Pokémon guide book (which lists hundreds of the things) that he peruses all the time. He loves little pokemon danglers that he attaches to his book bag at school.

The card game is pretty easy to learn (you can buy a starter set that teaches you the game). Some branches of Waterstones run children's Pokémon clubs where they can learn how to play and have matches against people their own age.

DS2 really likes making Hama bead Pokémon. You can google for loads of templates to follow and make little pixilated Pokémon. You need lots of different colours of beads (and tonnes of black) but DS2 loves doing this. I just print him off the picture and he makes loads of Pokémon.

He's also got a learn to draw Pokémon book that gets lots of use.

You can also download a free Pokémon tv app to watch episodes from the million series of the cartoon and also some of the hundreds of Pokémon movies.

Thank you very much for those ideas. I will check Smyths. Argos has pokeball but not the one he currently favours. It's hard to keep up!

Kind of geeky shops (by which I mean those selling comic book and anime merchandise) often carry loads more (and more interesting) Pokémon stuff than the usual toy shops.

Forbidden planet, for example, have really cool Pokémon woolly hats.

The learn to draw book and the handbook are massive hits here and cheap! The figures get constant play too. Unfortunately my son has now realised that there are Pokemon games on the Nintendo DS and wants one of those!!

If you are on Ebay check out the pokemon go loz building blocks kits. Basically Japanese version of Lego. I ordered 4, 2 each for the dc. Both got 2 different pokemon. About £3.70 each. Look really cute and good quality. Took a couple of weeks to arrive. There's also some look and find books on Amazon, like where's wally but with Pokemon. Also ordered 2 of those.

I'd also advise checking out any local comic cons, I trade at these and there's always traders selling pokemon items, soft toys, trading cards/figures and accessories etc.

My daughter is also Pokemon mad, we preordered the Nintendo 2ds moon www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/video-games-tablets/nintendo-3ds-2ds-ds/c-695/3ds-2ds-consoles/p-20837/nintendo-2ds-special-edition-console-pok-mon-moon-pre-installed-/ and I also bought the talking Pikachu and the annual (quite good!) from Smyths.

Argos is selling plushes too but they are random, plus stock seems to vary a bit at my local ones - I check quite regular because that's the type of toy mine likes.

I'm done Pokemon shopping for this Christmas!

Primark have Pokemon clothing for kids and adults! I have got Pokemon cuddly toys, cushions, ds games, cards, onesies... you name it, it's got the little yellow bugger on it !

Sadly there is a Pokemon decorated 3ds xl on sale but everywhere is out of stock, so DS is out of luck.
