Last year our friends bought DD a Frozen advent calendar that had little figurines behind each window which she loved. Any ideas for a fab calendar for this year?

Love the Paw Patrol one! She's a huge fan so that would be a hit!

I've got a Lego one for Dd who is Lego obsessed!!

I have a huge wall hanging Santa advent calendar and I put bits in each day so I will open the days and put it in the Santa instead, along with a choc coin and an activity card some days. So excited this year.

I like the idea of the DIY ones but just not sure I'll be organised enough to find 24 gifts small enough to fit in the drawers!

We do a DIY calendar, but buy multipacks and split. So last year, I bought a tube with 12 mini dinosaurs in, a bag of chocolate coins and a pack of cars, which I then distributed across the period. This year, for DS1, I have bought the Playmobil pirate carrycase, which include quite a few pieces that will fit, and DS2 has the Happyland nativity to be spread out. I'll infill with balloons and chocolate again. Doing it this way doesn't take much effort.

DD is 5 and this year I have bought her a Lego Friends one.

Last year - so when she was 4 - she had the Playmobil Santa's Workshop one. I wasn't sure how much she'd bother with it when I bought it, but had seen it at a really good price somewhere so gave it a go. Not only did she love opening it & building the scene, she has actually had it on the dresser all year round and played with it almost every day! It's proved to be excellent value Grin.

Can't link to it but there is a Thomas the Tank Engine advent calendar on Asda Direct that looks great!

Lego may be a bit fiddly for a 4 year old. DD loved the playmobil one at that age.
