Advent Calendar Gifts

I'm making(hopefully) an advent calendar for a 22 month old little girl,but I'm stuck for ideas of what to put inside. I found a set of Christmas themed finger puppets which will fill 10 days, but what can I get for the others, apart from sweets?

How big are the pockets/slots/whathaveyous?

I'm watching with interest too - my children are a bit older but we have an advent house I need to fill again this year. Last year I did Pandora knockoff charms but that won't suit your 22 month old I'm afraid.

Last year I bought dd a little Christmas tree then put lots of tiny decs in there. (I bought a box from paper chase)

It's one of those trees made using toilet roll tubes. It looked a good size for small, baby friendly gifts. We have a felt one with pockets that will fit chocolate coins, but wanted something a bit 'healthier' too. That and I like playing about with stuff at Christmas, I have paper chains to make too, and stars and anything else I can think of.

DS had a homemade advent calendar last yr, 2.5yrs from his grandparents. His was filled with all sorts - magnetic letters to spell his name (covered quite a few days!), little stubby pencils, some little dinosaurs (which became bath toys). Christmas eve was a tiny torch. He was delighted!

Lovely ideas there biscuit I'm doing something for my two, they're aged 6 & 3. Tesco do little cheese dinosaurs thinking of those for one day(obviously will only add that day!) argos have 3 for 2 in ireland this weekend so going to get some packs of minifigures, loving the magnetic letters idea.

Pencils and crayons would work, could add a couple to each day maybe. I thought of little plastic animals too, but wasn't sure of the sizing for her.Will have to actually go to a shop I suppose, instead of guessing online

Christmas themed bubble bath. Little plastic shapes like Santa filled with the bubble bath, often in chemists nearer to Christmas. Small toy animals and Christmas stickers. You can roll the sheets in to a tube to make them fit in better.

Stickers, little bouncy ball, toy bracelet, little animals or dinosaurs or sparkly pencil are staples for us.

Bubbles (should fit in a toilet roll - I'm doing the same style for DS1), Duplo animals, crayons, stickers...

Christmas socks

Woolly hat (roll well!)

T Shirt (roll well!)

Magnetic letters is genius. You could do one a day, maybe with something else, and keep her initial for Christmas day and give her a baking sheet to put them on. I'm totally stealing that

Little bottles of bubbles. You can get tiny ones that go in party bags.

Have a good poke around on the Baker Ross website - they have lots of little things that would be great and if you buy the multi packs you can use them in party bags later

I think I have enough now, flannel, bubbles, puppets, crayons, ball, racer things, etc. Would have been cheaper to buy her a chocolate one, but not half as much fun
