Asda roast in the wrapping beef joint?

I've bought a beef joint to roast on Xmas day from Adsa. Reading the cooking instructions it seems it's packaged in some new fangled plastic tray and wrap that all goes in the oven. All that gets removed is the cardboard sleeve.

The cooking time is reduced apparently.

I am nervous about just whacking it all in. It feels wrong and I don't wNt to experiment with some new space age technique on the big day.

Can anyone reassure me about how great this packaging is and why I shouldn't just rip it off and do it throws fashioned way?

Thanks!!

I've had a few of the Asda and Tesco whole uncooked chickens in the bags that you put in the oven, they're fine, keeps the meat more succulent.

I bought one of those a few weeks ago and it was fine! I kept checking it because I was worried about the packaging melting or setting alight or something but it turned out nicely.
