Ideas for festive supper/lunch with few dishes?

We'll be doing full crimbo dinner with all trimmings for about 5:30 on the day but looking for food to have a family supper on Xmas eve but also to make extra so it can served to visiting guests who are around lunchtime on crimbo day, ideally easy/advance prep and few dishes. So far i've thought lovely cheese/ meat/ grapes/ crackers, nice bread and a couple of quiches? Looking for other ideas but things that won't overlap with main meal later on (so no turkey etc).

If I were you, and doing a full on Christmas Dinner later, I wouldn't be wanting to mess on cooking anything else!
Just go for "picky bits" like you said in your OP, and maybe some nice posh chutneys or pickles to make it a bit special.
Or smoked salmon with salad garnish on a big plate so it looks fantastic for a centrepiece?
Morrisons are offering a catering service this year, where you can order all sorts of platters of deliciousness and pick them up the day before - my Mum got a leaflet as she was thinking of letting them do all the work for Christmas Day tea and/or Boxing Day when the "extra" people who don't make Christmas lunch arrive, and it all looked lovely and was very reasonably priced considering how much time and effort (and storage space) it would save.

Pulled pork? Super easy if you have a slow cooker. I just bung it in there with 1cm of water to stop it sticking. When cooked shred it with forks. Mix in some barbecue sauce. Then serve in buns with coleslaw. You can warm up the shredded pork in the microwave the next day. Hungry now Grin

Love pork idea but a few vegetarians and can't be faffed doing two separate dishes. Will defo look up Morrisons and thank you for other tips, will start buying bits in soon so that's a great help.
