Help needed - what to do with a travelling turkey?

DH and DS have insisted that we have turkey again on Christmas Day, which is OK, but we are going to DM's on Boxing Day. It is 5 hours away and she is not in a fit state to cook for us and as we are not sure of our timings yet, we will take food.
To make life easier (for who?!) DH says we can take the turkey with us for a meal on Boxing Day evening.

So what shall I do - a repeat of Christmas Day with the food warmed up, or something more exciting but easy with turkey? Any ideas?

If MIL isn't in a fit state to cook then will she have Christmas Dinner?
If not, then take the turkey (I'm guessing you mean the remains , so you'll have two turkey dinners)
You could slice it, cover in gravy, put in a microwaveable dish and into a chillbag (with the chill packs) for the journey.

DM has dementia, so can eat fine ATM, but she couldn't cope with cooking for us all.

I was thinking slicing and covering with gravy, but the pie sounds like it could work too.
