Christmas day buffet ideas for someone with allergies to the nightshade family

Hi

I have invited a member of my family to come over to my house for a Christmas day buffet. She is allergic to all of the nightshade family including potatoes, tomatoes, paprika, peppers (including sweet and chili).

The buffet will be for 6 adults, one teenager and two under 10. I want to be able to not have to cook too much and possibly prepare anything that is cooked before hand.

Already on my list are:

Ham (slow cooked during the day)
Crusty bread
Cheese
Pigs in blankets (as you can never have enough)
Dips
Veg sticks
Bread sticks
Crisps (adult and child friendly)
Fruit (grapes and possibly apple)

I can have some things with the allergens in but they need to be obvious so no sausage rolls with tomato in them for example.

Thank you. Smile

How about sandwiches, pork pies, those veggie Indian things.
My dh is the same, but out of choice for health reason, no allegies.

He can have sweet potato so you could do, chips, fries or wedges.

Yes I had forgotten about sweet potato fries. I know she can't normally have them when eating out as they are often covered in paprika.

Do the indian selections have potato in?

My DDad likes a pork pie so I could get a few of those as well.

Thank you.

I'd look at the ingredients but I don't think so.
But have just thought they could have potato starch, sorry didn't think of that.
Maybe the onion ones might be ok.
Oh yes, onion rings.
What about pasta, sweetcorn, and tuna.
Or something with rice.
