Camera for 6yo

After a camera for ds this year - not too expensive but takes decent pictures
Any recommendations?

We thought about a camera too, so watching with interest. We used to have the vtech kidizoom but she's ready for a real camera now.

I bought a second hand Nikon from eBay over the Summer for my daughter's 6th birthday. She has no idea that it wasn't brand new as I put it in a new case before wrapping it up, she was too excited to notice the lack of a box.

It takes lovely photos and has a big screen on the back with easy controls. She's fairly careful with it and I don't mind too much if it gets broken or lost as it wasn't too expensive.

I never thought of getting a second hand one.
We have one but the pixels on it are rubbish and it only takes aa batteries - we did buy rechargeable but they take forever to charge up/we forget to do it, would prefer one that can be charged through mains.

I'm looking at a camera for ds1. He currently uses an old one of mine which is fine but I'm going to get him a waterproof one for his birthday, you can get some good tough little cameras now which the kids can drop and get wet and they will be fine.
