Has anyone been to Kielder Winter Wonderland?

Is it worth the money? We live fairly locally and have dds age 4 and 2.

The website mentions that some activities are only for 4 and above, can anyone let me know which ones, and how awkward it is if you have younger kids (ie can you wander about or is the missing out child stuck watching?). Also, how strict are they with ages (we were wondering about waiting until next year when dd2 will be 3.11 and lying about her age so she can join in, any reason that wouldn't work?).

Thanks for any help!

It is fantastic, but personally I think 2 is a bit young. They watch a play ( approx 20 - 30 mins), make a wooden toy with the elves, then musical/ story session with Mrs Christmas (30 mins or so) also snowtubing and skating. Plus Santa visit of course. Most of this is I think a bit too much for such a young child, either in terms of patience! or in terms of what they can physically do, I cant remember but am pretty sure they would not be allowed on snowtube or skating. It is organised by timed sessions, so for example at eleven you will be booked to see show, at twelve to see Santa etc. There is nothing stopping you wandering about rather than watching but wandering about to do what! I think my oldest was about five when we first went, we have been nearly every year since, and it is brilliant, and worth the money, but not sure worth it for a 2 year old. Sorry. Also just to say as some people are surprised by this, ALL activities, except Santa are outside.
