Anyone know when this year's will be out please? Or has seen any information about them anywhere? Or can remember when they came out last year? Google has not been my friend on this one...

I think my daughter (20) would love one of these... although she'll still have a chocolate one too or she'd be sad Grin

I got a benefit one in November last year. They sold them through debenhams or benefit themselves. The debenhams ones were all reserved before the release date.

I got the No7 one (ordered online to store)
It was late October IIRC.

It was not worth the money especially as two of the windows were empty Angry.

body shop are doing TWO this year. My advice is to find yourself a consultant and pre order one, we sold out incredibly quickly last year.

I made one for my mum last year.

I bought some advent gift bags from ikea for £8. Some of the gifts were free samples and others I bought.

It was nice as I could choose the items myself and it worked out cheaper than the shop bought ones.

Got the Benefit one last year - 25% of it was stationery/headbands - I complained to Benefit - they said it was to do with US not UK - they did send me some free samples as compensation though. Hopefully they will be better this year.

I love looking at the beauty advent calenders, sadly have never been able to afford one for various reasons.

Selfridges did a lovely one last year. Ialso saw a nice nail polish one but can't remember the brand, possible Ciate? helpful

Last year I bought advent calendar material from Hobbycraft and sewed one for each of the DC (took me six months to make them all!) I filled the pockets with (amongst other things) mini nail polishes, perfume samples, travel size toiletries. The DC loved them. It was possibly my finest parenting moment Grin

I really want a Body Shop advent calendar this year. It would be so exciting opening a new one each day!

Has anyone ever had a super posh one like the ones from Libertys or Selfridges?

Didn't answer the question as I got so excited Smile

Last year I asked in store about the a Body Shop one and I think they said you could register or preorder online. IIRC it was around the beginning of November.

I bought dd the Primark jewellery one last year. The rings were incredibly small & she got one stuck on her finger. She ended up in a & e to get it taken off & I ended up with a taxi bill there & back!

And lots of Lancôme products.
But lovely of DH to buy it none the less Smile

Anyone know how much they were

PurpleHairAndPearls · 15/08/2015 21:48

Door number one was Opium?! What an anti climax Smile still at least it could only get better from there, right?!

I think the Body Shop one was £50 last year.

Ooooh thanks all.

I think she'd love the Benefit one the most but I remember reviews from last year being poor. The Body Shop was supposed to be one of the better ones iirc. Smile

"I think the Body Shop one was £50 last year."

50 pounds? That's more than I spend on proper xmas presents for the whole family! Shock

CookieMonstersAngryTwin · 15/08/2015 23:38

The benefit ones were on eBay upwards of £180 last year after they sold out Shock

Dh got me a yankee house one... bliss! Will be dropping massive hints this year Wink

If you like nail polish, Ciante do a great one and you can usually pick one up at a fraction of the cost in January for the following advent! I have done this for the last couple of years and I love it, beautiful colours in there so well worth the money.

FlouncyMcFlouncer · 16/08/2015 15:42

sideorderofchips sorry for the late reply, i went to bed! Last year they were £50 but you get products to a higher value than that in them. We haven't been told this years prices yet and I haven't any idea about how pre-orders work in store. But At Home Consultants are happily taking pre-orders now.

This is the thread I was going to start! I would love a Liberty one. Anyone know about Jo Malone Advent calendar or similar? Will definitely look at body shop for DD, she would love it

The ciate one can often be found in TKMaxx the following year for a fraction of the price...

My friend and I couldn't justify the expense of beauty advent calendars so we made one for each other using some samples and mini new items. Amazing!
