have only really just started shopping properly for pressies today. the boys really wanted a space shuttle toy but I couldn't find an impressive one - just an 8" metal dyecast one (each) which I kno they will love but it doesn't seem exciting enough! got the 5 yo a star projector, lego helicopter, science books, activity pad, origami set, brio tube train, super hero masher. the 3yo has a shuttle, tip up truck, activity book, drum machine (charity shop!!) duplo icecream set, lego train, and after lunch they will find a cardboard robot building kit. also stocking stuff- whoopee cushion, train whistle (oh God!!), chocolate. I'm sure they'll love what they have but there isn't a main pressie. any suggestions?

Have you seen the fisher price imaginext space rocket- my ds loves it and it's big enough to be a "main" present.

My dds havent got a main present this year either. They are 9 and 10. Last year they got the Wii U, new games for it and the new controllers as their main present - it was a twitch as we had got everything else off their lists and there was nothing 'big'. They were completely over the moon and still love it.
This year though, we've got all the things they've asked for and left it at that as there is nothing we think they'd really like that they don't already have so I feel like I'd be buying for the sake of it.

Your boys are still quite young and the things you've already got them sound good.
Also, it's a bit hard to suggest other things as you probably have a load of toys etc already!!

I bought the omaginext Ocean boat for DS. It's much bigger than I was expecting and looks fab.

thank you for suggestions! we saw the space rocket yesterday in elc. might have to nip back - sounds like a good choice! However have just ordered a Gup S arctic explorer as the big boy said he was looking forward to opening that on Christmas day Shock so hopefully that will do the trick Grin
