Birthday for 4 y/o coming in December, I was thinking of switch n go dinos for both for xmas, but now used up for birthday (unless someone wants to tell me they're rubbish?) so now need new ideas. Ideas for 6 y/o especially welcome, I know lots of 4 year olds so can grill parents but no 6 year olds!

(Probably no nerf guns - DH's family, and I think guns of any sort are a no-no)

Robo mermaids? Get them at Smyths toy store or tesco etc. like robo fish activate in water.
Art box? Make your own with big tub and fill with a bunch of pens, crafty bits paper etc.
Play do
Dance & fly fairy
Barbies?
Craft things - loom bands, bangle making kits etc
Board games - disney hed bandz, magic tooth fairy game (my kids love this game and all play together)

Sorry I'm not great at links! My kids are ds 6, dds 4&2.

My 6 year old loves switch n go dinos.
He also loves
Lego - particularly Lego Movie, Star Wars, Ninjago, Turtles, SuperHeroes...
Hexbugs
He really likes anything dinosaur - he saw a dinosaur game today and was wanting that, he even likes to get real dino fossils but that could be him rather than a generalised 6yr old thing.
He has asked for Star Wars Angry Birds, they have some games where you fire an angry bird at a Star Wars spaceship - in real life rather than on the app, although apparently they can be paired up if you have a compatible phone/tablet which we don't.
Loom bands

Tooth fairy game sounds like a good idea - would be nice to have something they could play together. 2 x boys, so probably not Barbies . . . (actually, not sure SiL would welcome them for girls, either!)

My 6yo ds loves anything superhero, especially transformers, iron man, Thor, Spider-Man and batman. Star Wars, ninja turtles and power rangers are also big hits.

He really likes fancy dress costumes and we've got him the new iron man costume from sainsburys for £15 and got the mask from toys r us for £5 on offer.

Superheroes and transformers seem to be popular with all his friends as well.
