Christmas

Do you have an 8 year old boy? If so, please can I have present ideas?

I am totally stuck for ideas for DS1's main Christmas present.

He doesn't really play with toys, just wants to be out playing sports. He bought himself a tablet with his birthday money.

Thinking about something £60-£70 Smile

Maybe some Minecraft Lego for when he can't be outside doing something sporty? They're about £35 a set.

My 8 year old is similar - he either wants to play RL sport or computer sport.

How about Nerf Lazer Tag?

Mine is after a Green Machine - sounds great fun, wish they had had those when I was a kid... it's about £100 though...

Stunt bike
Stunt scooter
Anything football related
Tennis stuff
Swing ball
Spy gear
This is what my 8 year old boy wants. Spy gear was suggested by the nearly 7 year old.

Cool pair of headphones when watching movies on tablet?

He can't ride a bike Blush

Lego...tried it before but it involves me or DH building whatever it is and then he destroys it, all the bits get put in a big tub and don't get touched again.

Nerf laser tag - looks good but we don't have an ipod/iphone.

Football shirt - yes he would like this but I object to the cost plus I am not sure he would understand when his younger brother gets Disney Marvel Infinity and he has just got a shirt Grin

How about taking him to see a football match, assuming he's a footy fan and supports a big team? I'm taking my 9 year old to his first premier league game on Saturday and he is SO excited. You could go to the club shop afterwards to haemorrhage more money!

jollyphonics great idea but I did that 2 years ago! Plus we don't live near his fave team and they have already played at the 3 main grounds near us this season.

He did mention last night about going to a match at Old Trafford but as we are Man United haters (him included), not sure why he would want to do that Hmm

Does he have a bike? If he doesn't get him one so he can learn!

If he can't ride a bike then maybe the green machine or a similar low down trike thing would be good? I think smyths toy store do a good one.

How about some science kits, hot wires or gross science set?

Lego?

Tv for his room?

DS is 8. Whilst he loves Lego, he's really into sports too.

He has the Nerf Firevision, and loves it. He just plays with the ball during the day, but when it gets dark, he loves being able to use the glasses and still play. It's actually really good fun.

He also loved getting a baseball, mitt and bat set. Got it in a local sports shop, and he plays with it loads. It doesn't seem to bother him that none of his friends want/know how to play, he just practices.

Spy Net ultravision goggles have also been requested in this house this year.
