Didn't realise my comment ended last thread lol.

Any body got a good link for personalised bookmarks, for a 6 year old girl, doing her a hamper x

Oodlives · 13/09/2014 14:50

Tesco had loads of little boy t shirts in the sale today for a couple of quid but other than that I've seen nothing bargainiciousSad

kiwidreamer · 13/09/2014 14:54

I've placed my Ali Express order for an Olaf, baby Sven, Anna / Elsa crowns and an and Anna dress £27 delivered apparently... oh and some My Little Pony hair clips too = fingers crossed they all turn up, nerve wrecking business!

kiwidreamer · 13/09/2014 14:55

Does anyone have any recommendations for swimming bags, both my two DC need them and I'm really struggling with gift ideas this year.

o0 · 13/09/2014 15:06

Love the thread title. Grin

Finlaggan · 13/09/2014 15:09

kiwi the trunki swim bags are really good. I bought loads last year for gifts as they dropped to about £7.50 on amazon. worth tracking on camelcamelcamel.

HopeAndStories · 13/09/2014 15:10

Thanks Thanks

Tesco have chocolate oranges for £1 until the 16th. I'm trying my best not to buy some because I know they won't last until Christmas! Grin

Place!

mamapants · 13/09/2014 15:30

Thanks Tanya will have a look at kiddicare. You'd think I'd know what to get for a 2.5yr old since I have one but they are so different in the things they like.

lucysmam · 13/09/2014 15:41

3pigs, does the tablet have to have a camera? Dd1 has a Nook Simple Touch & gets loads of use out of it. She hasn't mentioned it's lack of a camera at all.

I'll go find the link for you to have a look (it was down to £29)

LokiBear · 13/09/2014 15:42

I still have post bargain glow after buying dd skates for £3. Grin

lucysmam · 13/09/2014 15:42

balls, try again

Nook link hopefully

zipzap · 13/09/2014 15:42

3pigs - on the last thread you asked about tablets for dc aged 5-7. Last year I bought Kurio tablets for my dc (then 8 and 5).

I got them on the amazon black Friday deals for £45 instead of £150. Not sure they were worth £150 but a steal at £45. They're about iPad mini size; there's also iPhone and iPad approximate sized ones.

I did see other places have them on offer for about £60 which is still good value, not least because they are proper android tablets, come with loads of apps (both games and educational) pre-loaded, have a shock absorbing cover that they come with (lots you have to buy the separately), you can set up different users on them with different profiles so you could use it as a normal android tablet whilst your dc would have just their apps, limited Internet access and you can set time limits on usage (either use for 20 minutes say or between 4pm and6pm only).

My dc love them, I can now use my iPad again without having to fight for it and I can recommend them.

They were also available with good reductions in various other places like toys r us, Argos, tesco etc so keep a good look out especially in that black Friday week.
Whatever sort you get make sure you can get a decent rugged case for it!

I thought nook was just for books? I did look at it but then decided would like something that could access websites etc

lucysmam · 13/09/2014 15:57

The Simple Touch does internet as well as books, and you can download from Google Playstore as well. (dd uses my kindle for books rather than her Nook Hmm )

Wow these threads are moving fast...just had a little panic when came to catch up and saw it was 1000 messages! Thanks for new thread jersey...love the title!

Update on the Anna AliExpress dress that I was just about to contact seller about as it had been 27 days...it turned up that day and I'm really pleased with it - it looks really nice. A friend showed me hers that she had ordered from Ebay which at first glance looked exactly the same but upon inspection I think mine has got much nicer detail and the glitter bits were peeling off on hers. So I take it back Vickey Lin is a good seller for the dress...if you are prepared to wait!

LottieAndTheDinosaur · 13/09/2014 16:01

kiwi which seller did you use for your Anna/Elsa crowns please?

PickleMobile · 13/09/2014 16:05

Thanks Jersey for the emergency thread! Got a bit twitchy when I realised the other was full!

I've placed an Ali order for 3 peppa pig tops/dresses and a peppa pig fleece blanket all for £17. Very pleased.
