What to get ds1

Ds1 will be 8 three days before Xmas.

I have no idea what get him at all
He is borderline aspergers, he does not play with toys at all. All he does is read (last year he got 52 books! ) and play on electronics. We have a PC, DHs work laptop, elderly iPad, Xbox and old wii.
I'm struggling I think of anything I get him that isn't a computer game! We do not want him to have his 'own' anything such as iPod touch, ds or tablet etc as we would never get him off it.
Just struggling to think of anything
He has tonnes of lego he never plays with. He got science sets last ear which he did a couple of times then never did again.

Hi, would he like a Galt marble run, you could set it up and maybe he'd like doing the marble run bit.

How about a kindle? Or is there anything outdoorsy he enjoys?

By "science sets", does this also include Snap Circuits?

Does he own a Kindle? You could get him a simple Kindle Paperwhite which you cannot play games on/access internet sites (as far as I'm aware).

Or could you get him a small gift (such as a Clip on book light) and also give him a gift experience instead as him main present- such as taking him to Imax 3D cinema or to Winter Wonderland?

Think a marble run would be some hit wonder but that has reminded me of a maze ball thing he was obsessed with whenever we went to his physio appts.

Snap circuits look good.

The other problem is that dd age 6 and ds2 who will be 4 by then are very easy to buy for so will have lots of presents and it's hard to balance that with ds1s little computer game! Couple of years ago dd got a desk full log craft stuff and ds2 a scooter so ha to resort to putting ds1s skylanders game and couple of figures into a huge box!

Also with days out we would need to take all of them which deforestation the object of giving it as a present

My Ds is a day younger than yours.

Current options here:

Football kit
Decorating room but will wrap up things like bed cover, alarm clock etc
Gyroscope thing I saw on another thread
Minecraft toys maybe
Football cards
Books!
Lego movie DVD
A camera

I don't know if any of that is suitable? Last year he got a kids archery set and a metal detector - come in satisfyingly large boxes next to dd (3)'s present!

Did he enjoy the books you got last year? Could you get him more, or the kindle suggested above?

Could you bulk out his presents with some clothes?

what about magazine subscriptions - kids nat. geographic, computer coding etc.

Snap circuits are great too.

I wouldn't normally suggest a pet for Christmas, but would he like to care for something small maybe fish. My son is 5 and he's so into Lego (hard to get him away from it), we got two guinea pigs. It was the best decision ever, he enjoys looking after them and is out in the fresh air everyday.
