Just that really, other than Frozen dolls and bits I'm a bit stuck for ideas (nothing set in concrete before any Haterz Hmm me Grin ).

Am currently working on my food shop/stocking lists so won't buy anything for ages yet other than the socks/knicks/pocket tissues/bubbles type bits for their stockings.

In May?

Um, yes, in May! If I didn't start early we wouldn't afford it all in one go so I spread it through the year so come Nov/Dec we can afford trips to see Santa and days out without worrying about the cost.

Dd is 5 nearly 6 and so although haven't thought about Xmas yet her birthday list consists mainly of Lego friends sets, frozen stuff and a new bike.
Depends what you already have as we have a trampoline that all the kids play on most days if dry. He got a big barbie house last year which is the right size for princess dolls etc,
If you don't already have one a craft desk, ours was an old desk from free cycle painted and stencilled and then I filled the drawers with craft stuff

My DD is just 4 and I bought her the Lego Tower for £25 on Amazon Black Friday. She loves building houses with duplo so thought this would be a good starter set. I also have a safari lego set for her stocking (£3).

For her birthday I bought her the Playmobil Swimming pool which my DS 2.5 also loves.

She loves craft and have got her a My First Mosaic set and thinking go getting her the Hama Midi beads bucket set (she currently has maxi beads)

7 is about the perfect age for sylvanian families. Such lovely toys and you can get a house or hotel or car and caravan for a big present :-)

Lots of bargains on amazon, and Argos does half price on them sometimes.

ooh Holger, that's a good idea. Both girls play with the Sylvanian caravan I had as a child and the few figures to go with it that my dad can find.

I'll have a look and see what there is these days!

DD is getting a big wooden dolls house (bought in jan!) and a handmade teepee.

We have a dollshouse they got a couple of years ago, it gets loads of use on rainy days when no-one is out playing. Was quite surprised that dd1 plays with it actually, she didn't seem that bothered when they opened it.

My dds got the Sylvanian families campervan last Christmas, it has been the best toy ever Smile . My 6 year old is convinced the Ever After High dolls are going to be the thing this year!

Dd isn't 4 yet but for her birthday my ideas are

  • frozen dolls as predicted!
  • camera
  • a really nice box for craft stuff. She loves cuttin and sticking and am hoping a nice box will encourage the tidying up afterwards!
  • Merida bow and arrow set
  • tinker bell or rapunzel animator doll
  • loom bands
  • a pair of sparkly shoes - she LOVES
    Shoes
  • if I can get them also a pair of sparkly / fancy Welles because she also LOVES mud!

Sparkly shoes! Genius. The little girl next door to nana has a pair of spangly 'doos' with heels, as she calls them, and both girls keep pestering for some Grin

I have a 4yo and 7yo DD too. The 4yo mainly gets hand-me-downs but is also very into Playmobil. My elder DD has Sylvanian stuff but hardly touches it. She is of an age where she changed her mind what she wants every two minutes, so I will wait and see with her. Possibly a new bike as the one she has is too small.

Bikes are a good idea Valium, both girls are getting too big for theirs. They need scooters too though to replace the knackered ones we have so I'll have a hunt and see what I come up with.

Also suggesting Playmobil, DD has had the camper van and various other bits and bobs for 2 years (since 5yo) and still loves making up stories about the people in it.

Was also going to suggest Sylvanian families - that stuff is so lovely. I can't wait till my dd is old enough for it ( even if she hates it I'll just pretend it's for her and play with it myself!)
