Ooh what have you bought. I am never organised but this year I am going to start by stocking up on Yankee candles and a few little things.

November and December are out for shopping for me so going to go for it.

However, I am cutting down and being sensible. Have you many presents to buy?

We're back talking to the other side of the family now which is lovely, but is also another sil and 5 niece and nephews!

So got my 2 DDs, 6 nieces and nephews, 3 sils, 1 mil, 2 parents of my own, DH and then my 3 best friends, my best friends kids (5 in total)

So i've started now! Lol

So far i've bought a Mega Construction set for my nephew and a bodyshop little gift thing which can go to someone lol. And a cross stitch set for my eldest daughter.

Which candles did you get? I love yankee candles!

Its DD1's birthday in January so shes sorted. DD2 is in June and we've already bought her main present!! (leap pad 2 disney princess set for £39.99)

I'm buying early as the two girls are going to cost me a fortune over the summer as DD1 is moving to year 3 so needs extra stuff including new PE kit, tracksuit, backpack, pencil case (oh the fucking joys!) and DD2 starts pre school. so i thought best to start now!

i shocked the woman in the body shop today. Got one of the little sets, with the shower gel/body lotion/puff in the sale for £3 and then used my love your body card and got it for £2.75

AND a voucher for £10 off a £25 spend in May (hello more christmas presents!)

When i told her it was for Christmas she just looked blankly at me and said ' But its not Easter yet....'

Grin Respect JerseySpud.

I buy from July onwards (Christmas in July on QVC is the kick off)
DD has a June birthday, DS is December so if I buy too early, they'd probably get those for their B/Day.

I like to start my serious looking/shopping in October. The idea of December shopping is romantic, the reality is anything but Hmm

And yes, I get The Face from my DH Grin

My DH has given up on me i think now. I just told him about the Christmas presents i purchased today and he smiles and nods and tells me they are good bargains. Then asks where i intend to hide everything this year

A box under the bed is looking good for now until i can get in the loft with a board....

Oh and i love the romantic notion of shopping in the winter like you see on tv, looking all snug in hat/scarf/gloves with mulled wine and perusing the shops looking at and buying lovely stuff.

The reality is shops with the heating up high, cheap tat (Yes BHS....i am looking at you), too many people pushing and shoving.

And never. Any. Fucking. Snow.

Hello I'm spoldged in my double bed whilst my one year old has a very long nap next to me and I started pondering about Christmas presents and such like and I find a fellow Mnetter or two already in here. :)

Jersey, I love the romantic notion to, but I think it would only work if they only opened the shop for just me and dh. :)

Impressive, Jersey.

I don't normally start so early but this year I've already got a list of ideas for various people.

Not bought anything yet, though!

Exactly Ratbag. And men never look as happy to be Christmas shopping as the adverts.

Infact DH Spud actually applaudds my use of the internet to Christmas shop.

Just because it saves him coming out as well

I'm hoping to sew most gifts this year. I've got my spreadsheet and pattern books out and decided who's having what! Today I'm cutting squares to make name-spelling stackable blocks for various babies. Glad I'm not the only one Elfing in spring!

Im making chutney again as its a firm favourite by many family members. Considering fudge but need to find some good recipes. Already got huge story books in Jan sale for few pounds instead of £10+ under the bed and all wrapping paper and cards.

I daren't buy Christmas goodies this far ahead , I would lose them for sure Blush

I bought some John Lewis eggs (the gorgeous traditional cardboard ones with rabbits on them) the week before Easter and I cannot find them.
DH said "they might be with the Easter stuff" - very helpful Hmm
At least I didn't lose my lovely paisley green tablecover specially for Easter.
