Which chocolates are a Christmas must have?

We have already eaten a tin of roses Blush and the kids have a selection box in their sack.

But which chocolates do you absolutely always have to have at Christmas time? I am hoping someone gets us a tub of heroes Smile

Quality Street, chocolate oranges, and mint matchmakers.

We always had Quality Street growing up. But we finished a box last week Blush and they weren't as nice as I think they should be! So watching with interest to see what everyone else thinks too. Pretty sure my boys would choose Celebrations but I'm not a fan.

Ferraro Rocher at home and quality street or roses at work. Always seems to be a tin on the go in the office!

Ooh ferrero rocher. Yum. I am not a fan of celebrations. Got to have a chocolate orange obviously. And seeing as I'm pregnant I think I have the best excuse to sample all the chocolates this year!

I found some cherry brandy chocolate liqueurs in Poundland - I'm going to put them in DM's stocking. They really were redolent of Xmas past. But I'm wondering if they'll be horrid now?

We always treat ourselves at Christmas - we have a tub of celebrations or heroes to share with the kiddies and then after they're in bed we tuck into a selection box from Hotel Chocolat!!! Pure indulgence and only at Christmas!! Grin

Can't believe no one has mentioned toblerone. Particularly the white one.

As a kid, always After Eights - I haven't bought them since I started boycotting Nestlé, but I do miss them.

Still chocolate orange though - I still get a wrapped-up one from my aunty Grin

Has to be Quality Street giant tin (currently selling for £3,99 in Aldi), After Eights and a little posher, Rococo because the packaging is so gorgeous. The Violet, cinnamon and rose flavours are always in my stocking.

I always make Chocolate covered dates because Thorntons no longer sell them and my Grandparents always had them.

DH has Toblerone. He makes it last weeks therefore making New Year a torture for us greedier folks. His other choice is Australian liquorice which I am not so keen on. He wants a Nigella-style liquorice box.

Anton Berg liqueurs , Costco used to sell them in a 64 piece box, we had one each ( including DCs, teens). They have stopped selling them and I am gutted.

I went into Hotel Chocolat last week and everything always looks so beautiful and delicious, but so expensive that I never buy anything.
