Christmas

Calling playmobil experts - where do your DC play with their big set (i.e. hotel)

3yo DD is got into Playmobil in a big way this year and has various of the smaller sets which get played with on the dining table and then put away in a big plastic box.

After many requests we've got her the hotel for Christmas but am at a lost as to the best way to set it up, is it something that can be brought away and put away IYSWIM or is it best left set up?

All made a little more complicated by 11mo DS who is walking and very grabby!

TIA

DS got a large playmobil castle, I set it up on our old coffee table and he uses the draw under it to store the small figures. DS is 3 and the table is a perfect height for him. You could also buy a square side table from Ikea, they come in different colours and only cost £10.

We have a play table for when dc play. When its not in use it is stored in the trofast system from Ikea and large bits go on the top.

Thanks both for the ideas, looks like a trip to Ikea is in order (cue groaning from DH Grin )

We have this Trofast frame. It has more depth than the other frames of that series and it is a nice height for playing. DSs whole dinosaur set fits on it and stays on it. Plus, you get the added bonus of extra storage for other toys. If you have the space for it, I can highly recommend this one.

Another one who uses the Trofast units for Playmobil. Building go on the top then we have 2 rows of shallows trays and one row of deep trays below. Works well.

We got the hotel for a recent birthday and it is great. I have super glued the balcony handrails on though as there are a lot of them!
