andadietcoke · 22/11/2013 21:04

Red wine, mulling spices, Christmas mugs, mulled wine jug with a warmer that it sits on.

My mum is one of those women who has everything and adores completely unnecessary things like that!

dopeysheep · 22/11/2013 21:05

A reflexology session. I think.

Kyrptonite · 22/11/2013 21:06

Kindle fire. And the hours of teaching her how to use the bloody thing. I swear I lost years of my life when I gave her my old iPhone

mamicar · 22/11/2013 21:08

perfume gift set Smile I bought her a givenchy set a few years ago and she was so chuffed with her "expensive posh" perfume Grin instead of white musk from body shop bless her.

onedev · 22/11/2013 21:13

Tickets to Dancing on Ice.

Hooleywhipper · 22/11/2013 21:15

Magazine subscription. Calendar & ferraro Roche ( standard gifts that she has become to expect).

A bottle of Bacardi and some money towards her night out on boxing day, we always go out, but this year she cannot afford it. I offered to pay for her, but she refused, so she's getting it as her present.

A stocking with nice make up (mascara, nail varnish, eyeliner, lipstick, blusher), mini baileys and wine, brolly, gloves, chocs, hand cream, candle, book, cd, tweezers etc

YukonHo · 23/11/2013 09:57

I don't get to choose her a present, I get told what to buy, because she absolutely can't bear to relinquish control for a single second...ever. We then have to spend about a month choosing a present 'that MEANS something so I can keep it and look at it'. Bear in mind we are talking about a fairly small amount of money being spent. The kids aren't even allowed to choose something. It's pretty say really and I think she misses out.

If I could Choose I'd get her the magazine subscription I know she loves and some gorgeous chocolates from her favourite place and (money no object) a trip to a place I know she is dying to visit.

Spottybra · 23/11/2013 10:02

Clothes. Which she wants. Last year I bought her a shawl that she loves. She says its so easy to throw on when she has to go outside with her dog (he runs off if not supervised).

He is a rescue dog btw and she is working on training him.
