I have no idea what to get mine. He's 33. Loves movies, plays 5 a-side football, likes keeping fit and eating healthily, loves spending time with me and DS. Help!!

I have bought mine a whole pigs leg (ad ham) with the knife and a holder.

MortifiedAnyFuckerAdams · 11/11/2013 11:01

I got my dh a subscription to Total Film.magazine last year - would he like that?

desperateforaholiday · 11/11/2013 11:19

We've only got a small budget each this year as he is 40 over Christmas. I'm getting him a Chinese puzzle box, ray mears book, Viking bookmark, small birdhouse, guitar picks and a Christmas jumper Grin

Mrspaddy · 11/11/2013 11:24

Jumper from gap, body shop toiletries and don't know what else yet. There is a comedy show he would like that I ould get tickets for.

MrsNormanBates · 11/11/2013 11:25

Getting dh a nice leather folder for work and a designer belt.

MrsNormanBates · 11/11/2013 11:27

mayim how about cinema tickets/gift card for the two if you? And a mug of his football team?

lucysmam · 11/11/2013 11:27

Mine will be getting a Liverpool shirt, xbox headphone thingys, xbox controller thingy (can you tell I know loads about the xbox Grin ) and the new Black ops or COD game or whatever it is (the latest one Confused ). He has asked for them so makes shopping dead easy.

Then a stocking of bits and bobs..
socks and pants....bottle of bacardi...nice shirt....couple of gadgety bits and chocolate. May pop a toothbrush in too because he seems to use the same one forever, and some other bits and bobs too....I just don't know what yet!

Madamecastafiore · 11/11/2013 11:29

Barbour travel bag (for gym stuff to take to work)
Private Eye Annual
Subscription to Decanter Magazine
Voucher for shave at posh barbers place in city.
Gareth Maline choirs CD
Terry 'a Chocolate Orange (Every year!)

Having baby Friday so am bit pleased with myself that got it all sorted. Just up to him to sort out family and kids now. Cue wicked laughter from me!!

fuzzpig · 11/11/2013 11:44

Main presents are hobbit lego board game and a geeky t shirt, probably DVDs too

CoolItKittens · 11/11/2013 12:05

I'm struggling with mine too! Got a couple of DVDs but no idea what else to get him.

bakingaddict · 11/11/2013 12:26

The new batman PS3 game and some DVD's. We are not buying each other much this year as there is nothing we particularly want but both hope to go to Westfield in the Jan sales for a bit of a splurge

Slainte · 11/11/2013 12:37

A red Le Creuset cafetiere, some books, the Linkee game, Modern family box set and the new ska CD. I'm sure I've squirreled away something else that I can't remember now - will need to search through all my hiding places. Grin

mootime · 11/11/2013 12:42

For the first time I actually have a bit of cash of my own so I'm going to buy him a Sonos music system. Quite excited about it! He will be really pleased and surprised!

glenthebattleostrich · 11/11/2013 12:58

A food hamper
Posh face gunk
Star wars Lego
Star wars origami book
Clothes voucher
Probably a book and some daft stocking bits too

browneyesblue · 11/11/2013 12:59

A ukulele - saw it suggested on here somewhere.

A couple of months ago, he bought himself a lock-picking set (amazon, I think) and has been twiddling away with it ever since! Would have made a good gift.

Damnautocorrect · 11/11/2013 13:05

Can I suggest the weber BBQ course? It's brilliant
I'm stuck this year for mine though

Crutchlow35 · 11/11/2013 13:11

I am getting DH a driving voucher thing. The beer club thing from the bargains threads and may be DVD. I think The Hangover 3 is out soon. May be that. I don't know!

LoreleisSecret · 11/11/2013 16:34

Get him a fitbit!

ChristmasCareeristBitchNigel · 11/11/2013 17:18

His bike needs an overhaul as it's been chucked in the garden and then a shed for 3 years which means he can't use it. Depending on how much it will cost I'm getting it repaired - which will be a complete surprise (which he hopefully will be pleased with !)

BuzzardBird · 11/11/2013 17:22

I got DH a flight simulation session, thought it might help me too with my fear that the pilot on my holiday flight might be drunk or have a heart attack Grin

WorrySighWorrySigh · 11/11/2013 17:32

Probably not helpful but..........

Nothing

We stopped buying each other presents before we were married having bought each other near identical gifts.

I highly commend this approach. It is a lot less stressful and means that we can enjoy the shopping together rather than playing Secret Squirrels.

Kefybaby · 13/11/2013 17:13

Crutchlow, which beer club is this? It sounds interesting.

Kefy, it is the beer52 thing on the main bargain christmas threads. I'd link but on the phone.

Kefybaby · 13/11/2013 18:15

Many thanks, Crutchlow! Presumably the £10 off is for the first box?

MayimBialik · 14/11/2013 16:00

Thanks for all the ideas - the fitbit sounds like a great idea for my DH. In fact I'd quite like one myself (this is usually a good basis for buying a present for him I feel!) Wink
