Pre-lit Christmas trees - need a new one!

Our pre-lit Christmas tree has given up the ghost, we ran out of replacement bulbs and it spent the last few days of last Christmas with only the bottom half lit - looked most peculiar! Can't find the same bulbs ANYWHERE as they were not LED. I am shocked by the prices on all the usual websites - does anyone know where I could get a 5-6 ft one which is not too artificial looking and which doesn't cost a few hundred pounds?! Our previous one was £60 from Sainsburys although I bought it on a half-price weekend, doubt I'll find anything like that again.

We had the same thing happen last year, so I feel for you. B&Q gave me some spare bulbs that they kept behind the customer services desk.

As it was, the lights kept tripping every time we put the new bulbs in, so I had to get a new tree after all. I ended up getting one in a garden centre, and spending a lot more than I intended. It is lovely though, and has loads more lights.

This year I am going to take the broken lights off the old tree and then put some separate strings of lights on it, and use it in the dining room for DD to decorate.

If you have a picture of the bulbs you need I could always check and see if they are the same, and send you the ones from my old tree?

Have you looked on Bloom the artificial flower place. Their stuff is stunning, I have quite a few of their arrangements and they are unbelievable life like, to the point where guests go and have a poke as they don't believe they're fake... well worth the little extra and they do pre lit trees in various sizes.
