DD will be 2.6 and getting the Ikea kitchen and wooden food, pans etc . Her friends who a few months younger are getting the same. Also Vtech gadget the robot, Happyland (left over from last year when she was too young and got so much!), and books, books, books. I will be asking family to buy Peppa Pig things and possibly Aquadoodle.

Best thing for a 2yo girl is a decent wooden kitchen, plastic ones will just need replacing, I speak from experience.

Play food like this is fab

And a little teaset.

Hours of worth play for years to come.

This is the best scooter money can buy. My dd2 (2.10yo) scoots along really well on it. Everyone is surprised at how well she can scoot!

If you search the archives you will see MN'ers love them.

I bought the bigger one for dd1 for her third birthday and she is still using it everyday on the school run and she will be 6 in Nov. A fantastic investment. And its meant she can cover much bigger distances than if she had to walk them.

Also we're looking at fireman sam stuff for her as she adores him lol

Queen try the Entertainer www.thetoyshop.com as they sell the Hive stuff.

My dds are fireman Sam obsessed! But I was reading the 'crap presents' thread and fireman stuff is really poorly made apparently!

Oh no really??

DD2 is currently sat watching The Great Fire of PontyPandy

I was hoping it would be well made like most of the Thomas stuff (which DD1 went through a phase of being Thomas obssesed. Got to love my gender stereotypical girls lol)

My DD will be 2 in October. For her birthday she is getting an easel/chalkboard with loads of paints/crafty items and some play dough accessories.

For Christmas her main present is the Home for the holidays dollhouse. I'm planning on getting a few Melissa & Doug toys, and Duplo etc to go with it.

If your DD doesn't already have it I'd recommend the FP disney little people castle. My DD has had hours of play from it.

Ooh thanks for starting this thread..... My dd is 2 in December as well, we were planning on her main presents being the ikea kitchen and a scooter (one for birthday one for Christmas) and then lots of smaller bits like books and puzzles.

I'm in need of inspiration to let the 3x sets of GPs know so the easel is a fab idea. Just need a couple more!

We've bought dd the ikea play kitchen and accessories. :)

It was meant to be from Father Christmas but as we are now driving to MIL for Christmas it might hav to be from someone else as I'm not building and dismantling it within the space of 3 days! Hmm

Dd will be 2.9yo so I might get her some play mobile.

Are Sylvanians too small? She plays with ds' play mobile and Lego. Confused

We have the problem that she has an older brother that already owns a kitchen, easel, tea set, play tunnel, all that she plays with, so trying to buy something that isnt duplicated is so hard! Plus we have a lot of family that buy for our DC so we end up swamped with junk presents :)

Dd will be 2 next month. She has an older brother, so a lot of her toys are traditionally seen as boys toys, although she is quite happy with fire engines, and ds' s old kitchen and her rag dolly. Anyway, as we have a house full of diggers and brio, I am looking forward to getting her -

A doll' s bed
A doll's pram
A non-rag doll
A tea set
A wooden garage (ds had a horrid plastic one, and she loves pushing things down ramps)
Dressing up stuff
