My DD2 will be 2 on 22 Dec. I know what to get for her birthday but I'm struggling for Christmas. So ideas gratefully received smile

Hi, for my DD I have brought toot toot drivers train set, aqua doodle (£10 from amazon) and honey interactive pony. I really struggled too 2 is such a hard age to buy for. X

QueenofClean Sun 22-Sep-13 15:43:49

Will look Into the honey thing. My parents have got her an aqua doodle and my nan has got her a wooden train. So I have no ideas.

JerseySpud Sun 22-Sep-13 15:54:21

DD will be 2.6 and getting the Ikea kitchen and wooden food, pans etc . Her friends who a few months younger are getting the same. Also Vtech gadget the robot, Happyland (left over from last year when she was too young and got so much!), and books, books, books. I will be asking family to buy Peppa Pig things and possibly Aquadoodle.

Best thing for a 2yo girl is a decent wooden kitchen, plastic ones will just need replacing, I speak from experience.

Play food like this is fab

And a little teaset.

Hours of worth play for years to come.

PrincessRomy Sun 22-Sep-13 16:24:05

Duplo
Scooter
Apron for baking/cooking
Beatrix potter characters cuddly toys

Dramamama Sun 22-Sep-13 16:25:06

Anything and everything relating to
1: doc mcstuffins
2: Sophia the first
3: Disney princesses

And lots of books as she loves being read to. Pil will prob add to her VAST happy land collection grin

QueenofClean Sun 22-Sep-13 16:30:05

Thanks all.

So far she has:
Jumbo Peppa Pig playset
Talking Peppa.
play food for her food trolley which was originally DD1.
She has DD1 plastic play kitchen.
Hard as she has DD1 scooter & bike. DD1 is 8.6yrs old.
Will look into more books too. She loves Disney's The Hive but you can't get many toys except cuddlys.

This is the best scooter money can buy. My dd2 (2.10yo) scoots along really well on it. Everyone is surprised at how well she can scoot!

If you search the archives you will see MN'ers love them.

I bought the bigger one for dd1 for her third birthday and she is still using it everyday on the school run and she will be 6 in Nov. A fantastic investment. And its meant she can cover much bigger distances than if she had to walk them.

X post!

JerseySpud Sun 22-Sep-13 16:36:33

Also we're looking at fireman sam stuff for her as she adores him lol

Queen try the Entertainer www.thetoyshop.com as they sell the Hive stuff.

bymoonlight Sun 22-Sep-13 16:38:05

My dds are fireman Sam obsessed! But I was reading the 'crap presents' thread and fireman stuff is really poorly made apparently!

JerseySpud Sun 22-Sep-13 16:45:20

Oh no really??

DD2 is currently sat watching The Great Fire of PontyPandy

I was hoping it would be well made like most of the Thomas stuff (which DD1 went through a phase of being Thomas obssesed. Got to love my gender stereotypical girls lol)

dannyboyle Sun 22-Sep-13 16:58:19

Wheely bug

My DD will be 2 in October. For her birthday she is getting an easel/chalkboard with loads of paints/crafty items and some play dough accessories.

For Christmas her main present is the Home for the holidays dollhouse. I'm planning on getting a few Melissa & Doug toys, and Duplo etc to go with it.

If your DD doesn't already have it I'd recommend the FP disney little people castle. My DD has had hours of play from it.

Dd1 will be 2.7 at xmas. We are getting her

Duplo creative cakes
Le Toy Van pirate ship and pirates
Melissa and Doug doorbell house
Melissa and Doug cookie set
Peterkin doctors set
Cbeebies CD

ChickenLickenSticken Mon 23-Sep-13 07:08:06

Ooh thanks for starting this thread..... My dd is 2 in December as well, we were planning on her main presents being the ikea kitchen and a scooter (one for birthday one for Christmas) and then lots of smaller bits like books and puzzles.

I'm in need of inspiration to let the 3x sets of GPs know so the easel is a fab idea. Just need a couple more!

QueenofClean Mon 23-Sep-13 07:16:40

These ideas are brilliant thank you smile

Suddengeekgirl Mon 23-Sep-13 08:23:09

We've bought dd the ikea play kitchen and accessories. smile

It was meant to be from Father Christmas but as we are now driving to MIL for Christmas it might hav to be from someone else as I'm not building and dismantling it within the space of 3 days! hmm

Dd will be 2.9yo so I might get her some play mobile.

Are Sylvanians too small? She plays with ds' play mobile and Lego. confused

SmokedMackerel Mon 23-Sep-13 08:38:11

I am getting dd a playmobil zoo, managed to find a bargain on eBay :-)

Bamummy Mon 23-Sep-13 21:49:25

We have the problem that she has an older brother that already owns a kitchen, easel, tea set, play tunnel, all that she plays with, so trying to buy something that isnt duplicated is so hard! Plus we have a lot of family that buy for our DC so we end up swamped with junk presents smile

MortifiedAdams Mon 23-Sep-13 21:52:41

My dd will.be two.on the 19th dec.

For birthday - play kitchen (ikea) with all the gubbins

For christmas - drawing/colouring stuff, pjs, dressing gown, a large fuzzy felt and some winter clothes.
