Grin Grin Grin
Okay before you get on your high horse and tell me to stop being silly....

I have a week off work coming up and we are not going on holiday so DD came up with the idea of Christmas in August as a good laugh.

It has to be cheap and tacky rather than poncetastic. What do you think?

Oh and dcs are 17 and 11 and dh is the Grinch Wink

Could you do an Australian style Christmas lunch on the barbeque if it's hot? I'm thinking things with a Christmas twist like pigs in blankets on skewers, chicken or turkey fillets with cranberry glaze, you get the idea. Maybe DH would be persuaded by this! You can still have a present giving with novelties/jokey gifts and decorations, candles and fairy lights in the garden etc. Classic comedy DVD from shows of the past, Only Fools and Horses, Morecambe and Wise and so on.

I'd do a proper full Christmas Dinner anytime of year (because I'm weird like that Grin )
It's a roast with extra bits really.
The only thing you wouldn't find would be a Christmas pudding (but you could make a steamed pudding with fruit and nuts)

Christmas in August sounds brilliant (if a bit mad) so enjoy Wink
