well... for me it's marks and spencer and their IDIOTIC 'sorry, i know we said that we had this in stock but because our system was designed back when the Flintstones were around it turns out we don't' system.

so you think you've done your shopping... but two days later, you haven't.

New look.

Was told items I had bought and paid for were not actually in stock so was given a refund.

Which would have been fine if this wasn't a week after paying for them and if they hadn't of refunded me item price only andkept the postage cost!

Still waiting for a response from my emailas well.

Joules.

A week after ordering, still showing as processing. No reply to emails. Then order status changed to cancelled and they don't bother contacting me to tell me. No communication from them whatsoever, dreadful customer service

@protegepoi. Newlook did that to me too!
Mine would have to be Smyths toys, i ordered and paid. Told goods would arrive within days. I waited a month only to be told they were out of stock and i would receive a refund within 7 days. I was fuming.

Mine would be

Timetospa, must have put my order in at least 2 months ago and lots of platitudes but no items

The entertainer/the toy shop, took my money 3 times and took several phonecalls to get my money back

Amazon for me
My sons main Christmas present was lost. I ordered early as had heard the item was popular. Waited 2 weeks... Nothing. I contacted them & then through them the actual seller who took a week to respond. Eventually they admitted it must have got lost somewhere & they would refund me in 28 days!!!! Cheek. They couldn't send me another one as they had sold out!
I then had to go out to shops & spend 3 hours sourcing another gift. Grrrr Amazon

Dancemania for taking money off my card when my first choice was discontinued and my second only available way after Christmas.

They knew the supply was giving them trouble, they gave me the option to cancel, so they shouldn't have taken the money.

I assume there will be a refund on my jan bill, but it's still cheeky.

Red direct's service was a fiasco this year. They charged me for my full order despite only one part of it being in stock. No communication from them whatsoever.

Debenhams, slow slow slow and two products were smashed to bits due to poor packaging.
They hummed and hawed at the store about refunding my money too!

Debenhams for me too.

Dispatched part of the order in dribs and drabs, a tiny note on the bottom of an email to say X item is unavailable. IT WAS IN STOCK when I ordered it, so thanks for nothing. And took ages to arrive, really poor.

Everywhere else has been great - Play, Amazon all on the ball this year.

Agreeing with New Look, and also offering up Asda. Took ages, came in three different deliveries meaning I had three days of waiting at home and introduced 25% off the day after I bought them (not their fault I know, but still made me Hmm)

Topshop. Dd wanted a overpriced cardigan that is sold out online and everywhere - apart from one store according to the online stock finder. A phone call confirmed the online stock finder was accurate so DH was dispatched to said store.
Out of stock

Oh, I second SportsDirect.

Ordered Scooby Doo clothing for DTS (aged 3); t-shirt, cardigan and hoodie each.

Delivery arrived; 2 underlayers to fit age 8-9.

How can someone fuck up so spectacularly?

Phoned customer services to arrange collection. Spent 4 minutes on hold, twice, after being cut off when I was number 1 on the queue. That was at least 3 weeks ago. Order still not collected.

(But I did reorder & receive the SD stuff.)

All other online retailers I've used have been great.

Toys R Us, or at least their local delivery people, Hermes.

Order went smoothly, dispatched within a few days, had text to say item would be delivered last Friday. Nothing, no delivery, card, anything all day.

Next day neighbours pop round with my delivery saying it was dropped off day before. They could have kept it as I had no idea it was left with them Angry. At least royal mail leave 'we missed you...' cards.

Right now, the company that took DDs school photograph way back at the start of November. Having failed to get the proofs out in under 3 weeks, I ordered a CD with the photo on at the end of November and still no sign of it. There goes one of the grandparents' christmas gifts.

Debenhams.
Rubbish website and a wait of nearly three weeks for the goods to arrive. Everything was damaged as it had all beeen thrown into a bag without any packing to protect it.

H&M are spectacularly slow too.

I WANT ONE OF THOSE

Did an order in November, made up tracking web site appeared to have my order moving then it has been stuck in 'despatch' since 10th December. Much emailing, them ignoring my emails, and me emailing again and again, and trying to call their customer services (5p a minute to be kept waiting in a queue for 20 mins) resulted in a 'you need to hand write a form which I may (but probably won't) email to you some time in the next millennium'.

Only after I was having problems did i read about all the other customers in the exact same boat as me and they are so quick to take your money and I'm not even convinced they even have the items they advertise on their website.

Stay away. Way away.

Very - complete disaster, avoid them. Goods never showed up despite being in stock, and they wanted loads of personal details from me every time I tried to complain, I suspect for more and more marketing crap. They also gave me an "account" despite the fact I ticked the box online saying I didn't want one, and started sending me statements for it. Took lots more complaining before they agreed to close it.

Debenhams - goods arrived damaged, they exchanged it for wrong item which I kept receiving again and again... Eventually got some vouchers from them as an apology after spending ages complaining on their 0844 number.

I would never shop with either online again.

Another vote for Debenhams - how complex does a returns service really need to be?? Most items couldn't be returned to store (after I had made the journey and paid for parking) as they were 'concession' items. And to mail them back follows a complex system of getting the right address and code for that specific concession or department. Hate them.
