Mini micro or Mookie? A good three wheeler is needed - sturdy and well balanced.

Any ideas?

I had forgotten how expensive the micro ones are and am hoping that there's a cheaper 'me too' copycat on the market! (Skint not mean!)

This Mini Micro comes with the seat and the normat T bar, so you can use it from very young and then put the normal handle bar on when they're a bit older and more sturdy.
DD has been using her mini micro confidently (without a seat) since she was two and a half.

Just got DD this one for her birthday. She loves it. As you have to tilt to turn it, and it only turns slowly, it doesn't zip out from under her, sideways. I can see it becoming frustrating when she's older and has better control over steering, but for the momment it's ideal.

Ah, tis not cheap at all though.

MrsMangoBiscuit's looks like it works just like a mini micro and as I said DD got hers for her 2nd birthday and zips along on it now.

Ooh, do the mini micros also turn by tilting them? I didn't want to get one with "traditional" steering, as DD struggles with her trike steering atm.

That looks fab! Such a good price too. The Mookies are about £33.99, but I don't want to get a 'not' micro on price and get a pile of poo!

Ok, so I have seen the mookies for £32.99 (from £45) and a 'lesser' version cheaper (but pink and the reviews are bad). Theres also an ELC version for £40 (maybe abother 20% off sale coming up) although - don't think their stuff is all that durable.

Has anyone got one of these?

DD2 has a mini micro. The same mini micro belonged to DD1 and DN. It is 5 years old and still going strong I def recommend the mini micro. From what I have seen of the cheaper models, they look good straight out the box but don't last at all

Everyone on MN usually recommends mini micros I'm afraid. The cheapest place to get them seems to be Jojo Maman Bebe when ordered with their 15% off code.

Mini micro all the way. By far the cheapest 'cost per use' items we have bought the dds who all got them for their second birthday.

They used them almost every single day and just got maxi micros for their 4th & 5th birthdays.

The mini micros still perfectly fine to pass on to others to use.

Luckily grandparents bought them as they are pricey- I have friends who have asked aunties/grandparents/friends to club together

I know! I know! Bullet biting time I'm afraid! I'll look out for any deals and report back!
