What's the best day of Christmas

I noticed on another thread a few people aren't fans of Boxing Day Shock

So what's your favourite day?

Christmas Eve is mine, absolutely nothing better than anticipation!

Then Boxing Day second as it's slobbing out with new stuff.

And Christmas Day third, there's always so much to do!

Christmas Eve is definitely my favourite day due to the build up with 3 dc. We watch films and track Santa, they get so excited!
Christmas Day goes by in a blur but is still 2nd as dh is back to work Boxing Day so everything's back to normal then.

Boxing day! Loads of food to pick at and no major cooking. Kids occupied by new toys. Happy knowledge that it's over for another year!

I like Christmas Eve and Christmas Day about the same. I love Christmas and I love the build up to it. I don't like it when it's over.
Boxing day seems a bit like a cold, wet, boring Sunday to me.

Christmas as a cultural festival: Christmas Eve - nothing can beat the magic of the lead up.

Christmas a religious festival: Twelfth Night (5 January) - which marks the coming of the Epiphany (6 January).

I do enjoy going to church on a Christmas morning, but even most people at church are done with Christmas by after Boxing Day. Just me and the Anglo-Catholic retired priest are still saying Merry Christmas!

Love it all. Love the anticipation of Christmas Eve and the excitement of filling stockings. We usually have drinks and nibbles with friends and its great fun. Christmas Day is all excited children, fabulous food and family. Boxing Day to me means a bracing walk (ideally on the beach) more fab food and more relaxed socialising... And then there's still more to come

Christmas Eve, no contest... I love the anticipation, and we have our big meal on Christmas eve which makes Christmas day sooooo much nicer because we get to chill out with the kids and go for long walks and slob out and watch good tv. (and cold meat with bubble and squeak is my fave Christmas meal, yey!)

I love Christmas Eve the most. Adore it. Really, properly entranced by it. Christmas Day second.

I like Boxing Day as well though as we have traditions which extend the holiday that far. It used to have that Sunday feeling but we soon banished it. DH jumps in the sea in the morning to raise money for the local hospice, then we go for hot chocolate and a mince pie in the cafe by the sea while dh thaws out. The afternoon we spend with DH's family, play games, eat cold meats and cheese, exchange gifts and do MIL's quiz before watching a film under a blanket or four (me, dh, dd, ds, mil, fil, dgmil, dgfil and dggmil). We then sit by the fire and talk into the wee small hours with chocolates, wine, coffee, earl grey, nibbles etc. We all trail to bed exhausted about 2am, carrying the small children who fell asleep hours ago and are all thoroughly happy.

27th when it's all over! I hate Christmas but go along with it all because I'm blessed with a family who love it all but really what I'd like to do is just ignore it!

Boxing day with the ILs and rest of dps family. Love it all really but this is the day that I get to relax most as mil is wonderful cook and hostess and really makes sure everyone has a lovely meal. We all help out too, but she has it all under control. I really do love my MIL!!
Plus she makes dinner for 20 on time, without swearing and without hating all of us - the woman isn't human!!
