You all have great ideas, please help apart from the usual coins and satsuma I am a bit stumped...... Anyone
Marbles
Star Wars fighter pods
Drinking glasses (John Lewis)
Excellent idea wild strawberry, I got some of the Lindt teddies will try not to scoff em before Christmas, loads of fab ideas here.
B&M bargains have got teeny weeny lindt teddies in atm, 20p each, by the tills.
I wish they would make a chocolate satsuma! Like a chocolate orange but satsuma flavour and size/shape, and not in a box just in its peel coloured wrapping, so it has the same visual effect as a real one.
my DS likes to quote from Horrid Henry "a satsuma is not a present"
Ds is 6 but some ideas:
Mini Hama bead kit
Compass
Guitar balloon
Spud gun
Fun bar from lush
Superhero notebook
Angry birds tattoos
Angry birds splat ball
5 moshis
Mini nerf gun
Animal torch
Sweets
Character slipper socks
Fart putty
Dino goo
tickseed is good
Lots of great ideas here. We'll also be including a hat/glove/scalf set and new wellies. I've also just got him a small hand painted treasure chest that he can stash his "junk treasures" in as he loves that sort of thing. We normally also do new colouring pens / pencils and a bubblegum box filled with every flavour of chewing gum and bubble gum you can imagine.
I told myself firmly "no more stocking stuff, you have enough".
then at lunchtime I wandered into local town's museum shop
came out clutching 2 miniature wind-up music boxes playing Christmas carols (£2.50) and a slide whistle (£1.60).
good old Tobar, a fair proportion of DC's stocking fillers are made by them.
They did have them!
Wildstrawberry, did you happen to see if they had any of those mosaics that you do with little stickers? They are my dd's very favourite thing.
I found the coins on top of ds's wardrobe
Oops sweets not toys.
I was in SportsDirect the other day and picked up a little plastic football boot filled with jelly toys for my football-mad son. Two or three quid I think it was.
I was in Hobbycraft today, they have loads of stuff like mini foil scrapers, mini Fimo sets (robots etc), Melissa and Doug stained glass window colouring books, suncatchers etc. Lots under £5 and stuff boys would like - robots, cars, dinos, wildlife.
Just bought DS an audio CD of Mr Gum.
lidl has lego movie on dvd for 2.99 - as well as some other xmas dvds ike shaun the sheep/mr bean xmas-
Oh bugger, you know what? Thanks to this thread I just remembered I bought two bags of chocolate coins from lidl the other day, and balls if I can remember where I've put them. Old age is a terrible thing
For dd1 I am getting a set of dice from www.theteachingwindmill there are different numbered dice plus function dice. Hoping to make up our own dice dudes games for a fraction of the price. Free postage too.
Also thinking of getting a prism. Already have mini fig, mini art canvas from the works, some other craft stuff. Might make reindeer soap flannels too.
